Hi Epicera,

Purchased this theme twice a year ago. Both sites have been working well on FF, Chrome and other browsers, both on Win as well as Mac. I suspect Chrome usually does automatic updates and the last update broke both sites on Chrome – Mac.

the sites are: studiobarkingdog.com thesaucypastaco.com

These don’t work in Chrome now and judging by all the comments above, I’d say we should look at some fix for Chrome. Does this make sense?

Thanks Ranjan

If the project develops further or there will be updates?

Would like to purchase, but after the comments I’m a little confused. :-/

Add me to the list of people with a problem in the latest chrome – menu doesn’t work/scroll any more!

A fix would be appreciated asap.

Any word on the Chrome issue?

No Support??? =)

This is was the fix that I used for the HTML version. You will need to modify it for Wordpress. I do not own the Wordpress version so I don’t know the exact structure.

Thanks to beaner!

Open library/scripts/shapeshifter.js and delete this:

$('a[href*=#]').click(function() {
   if (location.pathname.replace(/\//,'')  this.pathname.replace(/\//,'')
   && location.hostname  this.hostname) {
     var $target = $(this.hash);
     $target = $target.length && $target
     || $('[name=' + this.hash.slice(1) +']');
     if ($target.length) {
       var targetOffset = $target.offset().top - 30;
       .animate({scrollTop: targetOffset}, 750);
      return false;

then download this

and place it in library/scripts/ then call it in the index.html file after

<script src="library/scripts/shapeshifter.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

as in:

<script src="library/scripts/smooth.pack.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

you should be good to go.

thanks Jaymee34 this is a good fix , it seems to scroll a little short on the last page would you have a solution for this?

Hey, if anyone is still struggling with this issue I think I found a workaround for Chrome without having to kill the jQuery.

I use the WordPress theme and just added a class to the line in question. True, targetOffset() will return zero as is, but if you assign a relative positioning to the object, it works.

So instead of:

var targetOffset = $target.offset().top – 30;

I used:

var targetOffset = $target.addClass(‘relpos’).offset().top – 30;

Just remember to add the css class to your stylesheet:

.relpos { position:relative; }

This seems to work for me so far.

jaymee34, It works! Thank you!

I put in header.php :

<script src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?>/library/scripts/smooth.pack.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

tried this but the animation between pages does not work :(

Works for me too :)

Actually the scroller works but now the portfolio popup is broken. Can anyone help?

scroller is working now… just.

Its really screwy with the page always jumping around.

Please update or I will just have to ditch this template.

Very disappointed in a top author ignoring the multiple cries for help in fixing the chrome scrolling problem that’s been reported by many for some time now (myself included).

Theme does not work correctly with Internet Explorer 9 or chrome at time of writing.

I want to translate “the red contact buttom”. How can I translate it?

Appreciate answer ASAP :)

FIX FOR CHROME SCROLL !!!! see this link for the proper fix of the scroll in chrome ! worked like charm for me http://bikker.in/2011/shapeshifter-working-scroll-fix-in-new-chrome/

Just purchased this template recently. It seems like I am missing the blog_style.css stylesheet making it inpossible to set it up in wordpress… Any idea how could I restore the missing file? Bare in mind no files were deleted from the original download, and I have downloaded the whole directory twice alreday.

Any suggestions? Many thanks Peter
