hi Brandon,
question regarding Menus: in Custom Links, is there a way to have an external link open in a new tab or window?
thanks again for all your great work,
Eddie
The menu is not working on IE 9 . I can only see black buttons but no text. Pls advice. Thanks.
menu not working in IE 9 . this has been going on for ages? Any fix please!
Any updates for IE9 ?
Just updated the theme to latest version and been spending hours customizing it in Chrome and FF. Just now checked it in IE9 and yup, no menus and the support forum where we use to post stuff is missing. Junk. Please fix asap.
OK friends. Here’s the workaround for the menus not working in IE9. The menu and other missing tags work in IE9 only under compatibility mode. So to FORCE your visitors to view the site in IE9 with compatibility mode, open up your header.php and add
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE8" />directly under
<head profile="http://gmpg.org/xfn/11">which is the third line down. This theme has not been updated in a while, guessing because the developer moved to ShapeShifter2, or dropped off the face of the earth. The title is NOT listed compatible with IE9 as seen to the right. If after you add the code the menus still dont work on the site, open IEs internet options, advanced tab and choose “reset.” this will reset your entire IE9 back to an “out of the box experience” but it will clear any compatibility settings you had toggled on and off to get the site to work originally. Then the site should load with your call to run your site in IE9 compatibility mode.
This site describes more and another way to force this: http://evolpin.wordpress.com/2011/02/25/ie9-compatibility-and-the-meta-tag/
Hi I really like the shape shifter logo, do you sell it anywhere?
