Very simple yet very beautiful theme. Tested the demo and found that when adding a product into cart, the immediate resulting page after that would have “XXXX was added to your shopping cart” green color default Magento text overlapping with the added product name, image, price, and the quantity form box in Chrome in Firefox.

Other than that, I think they are perfect!

Hi phangmoh,

Aha I see what you mean how it covers up the text. We just fixed that and will be uploading that little fix to Themeforest. Thanks a lot for pointing that out. All of us test the theme in depth but occasionally a little thing slips by such as this.

Thanks, those files shouldn’t have been in there. We’ve updated the theme folders and are uploading to Theme Forest. Thanks for pointing out so early after launch.

Thank you.

The images of the products overlaps with it’s description when a category is viewed as list. :)

Hi, thanks for a great theme, your documentation is excellent. I’d appreciate your help on an issue that I’m having. I’m building a multi-lingual store, and for some reason whenever the sheets theme is activated, the language switcher select menu will not work, it simply stays stuck on one choice. If I switch to the default or modern theme, it works perfectly without changing any other configuration settings. Any ideas? You can take a look at the issue at http://karon.valestudios.com

goThemeTeam

Hi valestudios,

It looks like there is a z-index issue with the logo class and the language switcher.

if you go to the http://karon.valestudios.com/skin/frontend/default/karon/css/styles.css file on line 429 add z-index:-1; to it and you should now be able to switch the language.

for the social links do you have a static block set up for social-links?

Thanks for pointing this out.

Default-user

Perfect solution, thanks for your almost-immediate response. I do have a Social Links block set up under CMS > Static Blocks. The identifier is social_links. Is there a template file that should be calling the Block? Or is it done in the CMS ?

Default-user

Hey, quick follow-up. It looks as though updating the z-index of the language select now renders the logo un-clickable. FYI the logo you see is actually a background image for the header and I’m using a transparent gif over the butterfly as the logo.gif file. How can we get both features to work simultaneously?

Default-user

another option is to remove the z-index:-1; and put an actual width on the logo class width:650px; for example I think that should get it to work too.[/quote]

This is the solution. I got rid of the z-index and added width:650px; to the logo class and now both elements are working correctly. Thanks again.

Hey, one more thing I forgot to mention. The social links block is not appearing in the front end and I’m not sure why. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

goThemeTeam

Hi valestudios,

I think we have a typo in the documentation it should be social-links.

give that a try and it should show up.

We will update documentation as soon as we can.

thanks

Perfect solution again. Thanks for your excellent support, I hope to buy from you again soon.

Hi valestudios,

Ok another option is to remove the z-index:-1; and put an actual width on the logo class width:650px; for example I think that should get it to work too.

Let me know if this works.

Thanks

Was this issue ever solved? I’m still experiencing it on my installation:

goThemeTeam

Hi valestudios,

We have a fix for this we are just waiting to release it with some new improvements. We should have it out in a few days. But if you need to fix right away its a pretty easy css fix.

Around line 626 in styles.css update these 2 classes .products-list .product-image { float:left; width:220px; height:220px; margin:0 0 10px; } .products-list .product-shop { margin-left:230px; }

Hope this helps

Hi goThemeTeam,

Have you released the new version with the image overlap fix and “new improvements” yet?

I wanna give this theme a try and I guess I should make sure I purchase the latest version.

Thanks…..

goThemeTeam

Hi xcrider,

We should have the fixes out this week we will place a message in the comments when its available.

Thanks

Hi ThemeTeam,

One last thing to run by you, but it looks like you already have this fixed on the demo site – the “messages” area appears to have been formatted only for single-column layouts. It overlaps both columns in the two-column right and left layouts. See an example at http://karon.valestudios.com/index.php/eyes-lips.html

The messages area also overlaps the top row of the shopping cart table when you add an item to the cart, which I see has also been fixed in the demo.

If you could please pass along the CSS fixes for this issue, I’d appreciate it very much. Thanks!

goThemeTeam

Hi valestudios,

I think this should fix it add to styles.css around line 294

.catalog-product-view .messages {position:relative; z-index: 2; left: 50%; margin-left: -450px!important; width:680px;}

Thanks

hello goThemeTeam, Just checkin back to see if you have an ETA on the release of the fixes and improvements to this theme? Do potential buyers need to wait for these fixes or does the license allow us to download the new versions as they come out anyhow? Please advise. Thanks!

goThemeTeam

Hi xcrider2,

Any purchaser you buys the theme will be able to receive any updates we push out to the user. We have released a few new versions recently and you should be able to grab those from themeforest.

Thanks

Question: Magento requires a “quick overview” description and a detailed “description” when adding products. On the base magento theme, the quick overview shows up top, and the description on the bottom.

On the demo for this site, there is only one description text displayed and it is simply titled “description”. Which one is this theme coded to display? The “quick overview” or the detailed “description” of product?

goThemeTeam

Hi pbcookie,

I believe it is the detailed description.

Is it possible to display products on front page in another box, kind of like in Miniml Magento theme?

I would rather have it dynamically, but just with html would be fine as well…

goThemeTeam

Hi maatwerk,

That would be custom work that you would have to implement yourself, the sheets theme currently does not have that included.

Thanks

Just bought it, real nice!

How come override.css isn’t included in any code, now all my main images are in the same place!

EDIT : Just bought it, real nice!

1. My front page images are all stacked above each other, cause override.css never gets called. When i copy the styles in override.css to custom.css they are placed correctly 2. The front page slider won’t slide! Found out that home_slider.js is not called as well… how can i solve these files not being called?

3. In the manual it states nothing about the placement of images above categorys, how is that done?

Can you help me out? (look at www.twaalfvolt.nl)

goThemeTeam

Hi maatwerk,

Just did a quick install on the theme on a test server and I see all of those css and js files are being called correctly.

Also the url you have below does not have our theme installed.

Thanks

I’m sorry, it had a redirect. Now it shows the right website.

I uploaded the files again and deleted all caches, as you see, the files are not called… strange!?

Do you have the same version?

goThemeTeam

Yes, very strange not sure why this is happening. What version of magento are you using?

Thanks

Edit: 1.4.2.0 clean install… maybe we should mail?

Edit2: Where are the scripts called?

goThemeTeam

Hi maatwek,

Those would be called in the template declaration. One thing we did not develop the theme for 1.4.2, but in this case I don’t think magento would change how a js file or css file would be called in the template.

Please contact us at http://themeforest.net/user/goThemeTeam

Hi. I just purchased this theme and it works beautifully. Great work!

I have a few questions:

Is it possible to change the way this theme looks (without editing any code) by editing the psd file in photoshop? If so, how would I upload the finished look to my site/change it over?

Also..

How can I change the font size of the text in the navigation (ex. handbags, jewelry, coats, etc.) so it all fits on one line?

goThemeTeam

pbcookie,

You will still have to update code if you make changes to the psd.

Also can you send me a link to your site I am not sure I know what you are referring to in the second question.

Thanks

Ok. Thanks for getting back to me. How do I update the code? What do you mean by that?

My website is: www.rustywaffle.com

goThemeTeam

Hi pbcookie,

Well if you made changes to the psd, you would then need to translate those changes into the appropriate html or css. Have you done alot of html css work?

Thanks

Default-user
pbcookie Purchased

Well no. Let me rephrase what I meant by changing the look…

For example, I want the layout, coding, etc. to be exactly the same. Almost as if someone just pasted a “look” on top of what was already there. For instance, instead of a white border on the image gallery, the border could look like frayed denim. Or instead of a white header, the header could look like leather. Or instead of the blue box with the promo at the bottom, the box could look like a sticker. I’m just throwing stuff out there, but I think you can get my drift. That’s what I meant by changing the look without editing any code. Is this possible?

I have basic html experience. I don’t think it’d be too complicated. I just need to be pointed in the right direction.

Did you get a chance to look at the text in the navigation to see if I could change the font size or not?

Thank you in advance.

goThemeTeam

Hi pbcookie,

It all depends on the element itself making some of those changes you might have to update some css or manipulate the html. If it is just images all you will have to do is make sure the image is the same width and height and replace it on the server itself.

Thanks

Got everything working great, made some mistakes but thanks to GoThemeTeam that was sorted out real fast!

Only thing is now:

- How do i place images or content above a category view like in the demo and which sizes can i place?

goThemeTeam

To place those images go to the categoy in the navigation there is an option to set an image. For the images size our demo site used 584×385

Hope this helps.

Hello again! Where are the image files for the header and footer?

goThemeTeam

Hi pbcookie,

If you have FireFox installed and the firebug extension you can right click on an element and view the css and html. This will help you see what are images and what are css.

Hope this helps
