Hi Tom, I need to update to the latest version. How do I do this? I purchased 188.8.131.52, I think…
You just need to download the latest version, please go to the Downloads tab displayed when you’re logged in and there you will see all the themes previously purchased on themeforest.
THanks for the guidance. Do I just over-write all the folders?
You can do that, but it’s best to first remove all the files from the theme’s folder (unless you’ve made any changes to those files) and then upload the latest files.
I have purchased your theme.
I am adding sub categories and they are populating vertically, which would be normally OK but as I have about 60 in one category I want this to show horizontally, as it gives a tidier look , as its difficult to navigate with such a long list. Can you advise how to do this please?
You should be able to display your subcategories in multiple columns, to do so, please login to your admin panel, then navigate to catalog/ category, select one of your top level categories and go to the Data tab. There, you can define the number of columns. Hope this helps.
Thank you all sorted.
Nice theme, i have been using for a client for just over a year or so, I went to upgrade both Opencart and Shopcart and for some reason my facebook widget in the footer has changed language – ‘Like’ is now ‘Lubi? to!’???
Any ideas how I can rectify this?
Cheers – Martin
Thanks for using our theme and for your kind words!
By an accident we used a Polish regional settings instead of English ones. You can simply fix it by going to your footer.tpl file (in theme’s common folder) and changing the reference in the facebook script from PL_pl to EN_gb. Hope this helps, please let me know if you have any problems fixing that.
Hi there Tomsky, I have purchased your theme.
I am adding sub categories and they are populating vertically, which would be normally OK but as I have about 60 subs in one category I want this to show horizontally, as it gives a tidier look , as its difficult for the customer to navigate with such a long list. Can you advise how to do this please?
Eg: your themes : high Street, Kinder, Gentle & Vasco have the sub catergory layout showing horizontally (under the Mp3 tab)
Sorted and looks better!..Thank you
i am having an issue….i tried to add 2 slides to my slideshow and they wont show on the website…..i deleted the previous slides but the new ones wont add….but if i add back the old ones they show….
also when i go to change background with my own image it wont show on website either
my webpage is www.fabulousfindzja.com
It’s hard to say what the problem is.. Can you send me a temporary ftp and admin panel access to your site via contact form on http://themeforest.net/user/tomsky and I’ll have a look at that for you.
I’m having troubles with the breadcrumb. When I add my own tile background, it just repeats it in the breadcrumb area, without changing the color. Any advice? Thanks.
You’re background pattern should be partially transparent (saved in .png format) in order to have a different shade in the breadcrumbs area, otherwise it’s not possible to apply a background on an image which is not transparent.
I fixed this issue, thank you for the wonderful theme!
Thanks for letting me know, I’ve added a comment anyway as it might be useful for others.
hello I bought Tomsky OpenCart and I’m very pleased, I’m just needing her help when I put my ID Fan Facebook page it appears on my site as your facebook, I would want to view a help site that is www.elitebuy.com.br
Thanks for choosing our theme!
I’m not sure what page would you like to be displayed in your facebook footer column? You can only display there pages for which you can find facebook id (and such page needs to be public). There is no control over the content displayed in this section, this is all controlled by facebook and you cannot change the content of your facebook fan page being returned.
There does not seem to be a to change the background color for the product boxes on “hover” or a way to change the breadcrumb background. Can you tell me where in the CSS do I edit to do both of these?
To change the box background colour on hover, please edit stylesheet.css file, around line 830:
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #E5F4F9;
In terms of background pattern, I sent you en e-mail. Please get back to me with your login details and we’ll sort this out.
may i know why even tho i set no pattern, there is always pattern on my top background of my homepage?
Oh I see where the problem is. If you open your css/colors.css file around line 80 you’ll fidn this code:
Please remove this line:
to get it working properly.
Bought your theme but still can’t find where to change the facebook from Polish to Portugues. I opened the footer.tpl but couldn’t find any PL_pl
(polish wife =))
Sorry about that. In the common/footer.tpl there is a link to facebook service which wrongly contains PL_pl locale, instead it should be en_GB (or, whatever really you want).
Hi again, Thanks for fast reply but i can’t change it to Portuguese ( Brazil) I’m doing something wrong?
js.src = ”//connect.facebook.net/pt_PT/all.js#xfbml=1”
i tried pt_BR as well but it change to English and cant change to Portuguese.
Many Thanks Again
What happens when you visit your page while you’re not logged into facebook? I think it’s using your facebook settings when you’re logged in.
I got a problem with “ShopCart theme options”, when I click edit, I got this message “Fatal error: Call to undefined method Loader::language() in /home/kesihata/public_html/test/admin/controller/module/shopcart.php on line 12” why is that? how I can fix that? thanks
What is your version of opencart and shopcart theme?
Open cart Version: 1.5.5
shopcart theme: ShopCart – OpenCart theme with powerful options.
hi, i figure out the problem. I change the version of opencart to 184.108.40.206 thanks
sory, I have another question, how can I change the background color of “Featured” category (I want to change to white) – now it’s transparent. http://kesihatanminda.com/test
OK, thanks for letting me know!
Please just log on to your admin panel, go to Extensions/ Modules/ Featured and change its position from content-top to content-bottom (anything in the content-top will have the transparent background, while any modules in the content-bottom will have white background).
i have been sending message and no reply….. i am unable to make any adjustments to my site….
can you tell me what is happening
I will look at your site now.
I just want to check before buying. The title of some of my items are rather long. at the front page with the grid view – will it truncate the title just to fit in the frame? If not, it will create a second line to display the full title? If some of my titles are shorter and some are longer, will this break the design as the size of the frame for each item may not be the same? Thanks!
It will look just like this: http://goinventive.co.uk/images/screenshots/20130203135641463.png
The height of the box is fixed, however if you require you can easily increase the height or just make it expand if your product description takes more lines.
Thanks for your quick reply. I’m new to php so want to make sure it’s doable before I make a purchase.
Inside the box, Is it easy to include the manufacturer name before the description?
If you don’t mind – can you point me to the right location after I purchase it?
Does this theme gives an option to switch between 2 languages?
It’s a little bit more complicated as you first need to edit the controller and include manufacturer in the list of items this controller returns, and then edit view to display this data.
Yes, you can switch between 2 languages, the theme fully supports it.
Hello, Nice theme really nice
Is there a way to have categories on frontpage under the slider and all other pages and custom links in the top menu?
Best regards Mathias
Thanks for your kind words.
Yes, that’s possible but not without some changes to the core files or using a custom extensions as this kind of functionality is not supported by default opencart installation.
The Facebook widget is no longer displaying the Facebook Like Box correctly. Any fix for this?
It’s been fixed some time ago, please re-download theme files from themeforest and then replace your catalog/view/theme/template/common/footer.tpl with the updated file.
I’m having the same issue as @securemanage. I’ve verified the page id and all is well on that front. The column for the Facebook like widget is blank.
Have you updated your theme? Can you post me a URL to your store please?
Nevermind. I updated the footer.tpl file and all is well.
Great, thanks for letting me know!
Update: sorry ignore this comment.
Could you tell me why when the screen size changes depending on where I am on the site as I’d like it to stay all the same size. I thought it was due to something I’d changed but I’m seeing it on a fresh install too.
e.g. http://www.braeness.co.uk/test_shopcart/ (header menu width is 24.5cm)
click on a part of the site
e.g. http://braeness.co.uk/test_shopcart/index.php?route=account/login (header menu width has increased to 26.5cm)
It then seems to remember this width as clicking back to the home page keeps the larger size and I don’t see the effect unless I clear my cache
Why is this? Any tips on keeping it consistent.
I can’t see the problem on my machine. In fact, the manu is contained within an element which has got its width set so it shouldn’t really change its width.
The effect is still there. Please see attached images to see it in action.
On first visiting the site (after clearing cache):
Clicking elsewhere on the site, even clicking on the logo, makes site “wider”
Clicking onto logo to return to home page, site stays “wide” .e.g. see how scroll on featured has disappeared due to the wider width.
I don’t see the same effect on your demo store but I do see it on a a fresh install of shopcart http://www.braeness.co.uk/test_shopcart/
I’m using version 1.5.4
Hope you can help. : ) Thanks, Melanie
Can you check your website using a different browser and let me know if you observe the same behaviour?
You are right it is browser specific – I see the effect in Firefox but not Chrome
I notice that in the default stylesheet the container is #container whereas in shopcart iti is .container – could this be relevant?
Do you have any ideas as how I can fix this?
I’ve worked it out and thought I’d put my solution here, just in case anyone else needs to know.
I changed the config.php to read http://www.braeness.co.uk/newstore rather than http://braeness.co.uk/newstore
Thanks for letting me know about the solution. I wouldn’t expect config.php to cause such behaviour but you’re right, the values in this file need to be consistent with the ones set in your store admin, otherwise you might experience unexpected behaviour (and this seems to be one example of that)
