Does this work with OpenCart 1.5? I just purchased it but the file structure seems different than the other default template that’s there… under /catalog/view/theme/default/
We are currently finishing the 1.5 compatibility update. We will release it in several days.
We bought this great design yesterday and have been trying to figure out where to start. My co-worker just finished his studies in HTML and CSS .
So we are newbies! I wonder if you have any advice where we could find some kind of guide or instruction video where to start and how to integrate the dynamic codes from BigCommerce into the shoppica code.
How could we integrate the codes to the BigCommerce managment system?
We appreciate a fast answer! = )
Regards from Sweden,
Danielle och Henrik
I fear, we have no experience with BigCommerce.
What we assume however is that it has some template engine like (almost) all of the CMS and e-commerce software. Whether it uses Smarty or just PHP templating the integration will be simular.
I am really suprised how nice you people are! = )
We have read the manual, but we have a hard time to understand how we can integrate the dynamic PHP -code that is already existing in BigCommerce with your cart without destroying the design!
I think we need a guide how to integrate PHP , because we are not authorised to touch them in BigCommerce!
Yeah, the design is just perfect!
Best best regards,
Danielle and Henrik
I really don’t have in mind how you would be able to escape the integration part described in the manual and still use the html version of Shoppica.
The template is a combination between html and css. You need to use this markup in order to have this design.
If you have in mind to use the css only over the existing html of the BigCommerce software, you will need to adapt every single line of the stylesheet, which is almost identical to a new theme creation.
We are sorry, but you cant just skip the part of the integration procces.
Hope we have helped you after all.
Hello, great theme. Only one question.
Could I use this theme on straight HTML and not use any e-commerce software?
In this case how could the payment option be set up. I would like to use Paypal.
I think that you could setup Paypal Express on a static web page. For integration we suggest you have a look here: https://merchant.paypal.com/cgi-bin/marketingweb?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=merchant/wp_standard&nav=0.3.3 There are step by step instructions how to integrate the button and what will this cost you.
Hope we have helped.
Very nice work.
I want to use Authorize.net for the payment, is it difficult to integrate it into the template?
It’s the first time for me and I have no clue!
Any help would be welcome!
Thank you very much
You can see the options at the Authorize.net page.
From what they state, you could use their “Simple checkout”, by simple copying/pasting a HTML code.
Unfortunately, we have never worked with this gateway and could not share a first hand experience.
Hope, we have helped.
i’ve just purcahsed this theme and downloaded to wordpress version 3.2.1 and its coming up with errors when i install…
fopen(/home3/youngan6/public_html/toursinindia/wp-content/themes/shoppica-premium-html-ecommerce-theme/style.css) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home3/youngan6/public_html/toursinindia/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4339

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home3/youngan6/public_html/toursinindia/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4345
i’ve been told by my hosting company that this means that the theme is incompatible with wordpress??
Please help, as this purcahse will be otherwise useless for me!
this is not a wordpress theme. This is just plain html/css template which is not tied to any cms/blog/ecommerce platform.
You can use this template to build your ecommerce solution arount it, it is not intended for direct usage.

I am so pleased with this design, I was surprised their was documentation(it may be a requirement here I’m not sure). Either way I can’t wait to get my business CheaperinBitcoins.com up. Except I am having an issue were I can’t see to find where to set my Twitter ID for the the bottom Twitter Block/Sections. All i see is the script for it. Some assistance would be helpful
There is a tab “Footer” in the Shoppite Theme CP module. There you can add tweeter and facebook widgets, as well as brief info about the shop and contact details.
Love the template but it seems it’s lacking serious IE support. Can’t get IE to render the menu oro die price tags correctly ?
How would I go about fixing this? Tried adding Modernizer, PIE etc. but nothing is working …
But apart from IE it’s perfect in the other browsers.
Will give you access so you can see on request.
The main idea is to keep the site in a acceptable shape in the old IE 7&8. I think we could loose the hover effect on products, some css3 shadows etc. The main concept is kept.
I don’t know, why you can’t render price tags correctly, because this is the thing, we put CSS3 PIE for. In the demo we use the a php version instead of the htc one (the htc has some server limitations), but you could use the JS one for localhost testing.
If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to ask.
Thanks for your Reply. Managed to Sort it out due to your Comment. And Again Amazing Template.
I would like to use “notify messages” like http://shoppica.net/. It’s only for Shoppica version Open Cart ?
For now yes. But it is not a very bad idea to put them in the html version too. Thank you for the suggestion. We will try to update in a couple of days.
Don’t mean to bother gain but when I try to change the color for the 0.00 displayed at the top right of the screen next to the shopping cart logo. When i change that it turns the color I want but when my mouse highlights it it turns back to the green color and stays that way even after taking the mouse off. How can I keep it the same color for mouse over?
Could you, please, PM us your website address, and ftp as well so we could check?
How does the currency and language translator work? Is that just for show, it’s not actually functional.
I can’t get it to work with the files I downloaded.
The currency and the translation dropdowns are only only static elements. You could decide whether to implement them in your software, or not.
I purchased the theme, but the color picker panel/component is mssing. its not included in the downloaded files. Can you please help.
The color picker is only for demo purposes to show you, which elements could be changed. Since this is just a html version, there is no use of color schemer, as there is no server side logic to keep the color presets. When you implement the theme, you should edit the colors stylesheet manually with the colors you like.
Also all the links in the top right include system_navigation, site_search language_switcher and currency_switcher are not rendered at all in IE8 , WinXP. The do however render correctly frm your demo at http://shoppica.net/html/. Do you have an updated version that you can share?
This is strange, because we have tested this, and now, when we open the package, we can see the problematic elements.
Could you, please, PM us the website you have implemented the design in, or maybe send us a screenshot.
Thanks in advance,
Here is a link to the screenshot
Win XP – IE8 Issue
Regarding the color picker, since it was in demo, I assumed it will be part of the package. I intend to implement such functionality in future and can easily do that since I will be developing the complete backend. Can you please provide that component?
We have submitted an update, which includes the color picker. You will just need to wait a bit until it is approved.
There is one more defect. Once we change the colors in the css, the colors on the cart and category links revert back to green and orange on on hover.
To, reproduce the defect, simply change the theme to blue and then hover over the category links or cart grand total. Below is the link to the screenshot, on your own demo.
Color Changes not working correctly
When you implement the template, you will need to pass the values defined from the color schemer to the hover scripts.
Thanks a lot for your support. Eagerly waiting for the update.
Got the update. Thanks for the color picker. However, the top right links including system_navigation, site_search language_switcher and currency_switcher are still not visible in IE8 , WinXP.
Will you push another update?
Could you try to wrap the elements in a div and then assign position: relative; to the div?
Let’s see what will happen. The problem is that on my computer, there is no problem with these element in IE8 .
I just uploaded the HTML folder to the /catalog/view/shopica (I created the folder shopica and uploaded the contents of HTML into it). When I go to Settings – Store in admin, I select “shopica” from the template list, but then looking at the front end, I dont see the Shopica template
You are not trying to put the html version of Shoppica in the OpenCart modules, aren’t you?
Because the html version is just a html version. It is not ready to use with any software. It should be implemented first.
If you want an OpenCart version, then you should consider this version of Shoppica -> http://themeforest.net/item/shoppica-premium-open-cart-theme/235470
Thanks for your great design.
I am looking for how to set (as shown by your index_image_slide in Themeforest ) :
-Full screen width Green slider, Grey Twitter-Facebook footer bands and Green mini height band (and not only 980 px width like now).
-reduce height of Green image slider
Thanks for your help.

Love the theme but was wanting to work in Wordpress.
I don’t suppose you’ve any plans on making this into a Wordpress theme?
