Hi there

Since you have recently released a new theme (Pavilion) which looks fantastic! Supporting opencart version “2.0” should not be an issue any more, is this correct?

I’m curious to know why you launched a new theme before updating the one that thousands of people are currently using?

Shoppica really is a fantastic theme, I mean, really over the top awesome!! However, I do find myself tempted quite heavily by opencarts newest version.

since I (and I’m sure I can speak for a significant portion of your customers) cannot dignify ‘purchasing pavilion just to use as shoppica’ – (I am aware of the shoppica skin) and would like to move to a 2.0 system as soon as possible, I was hoping you could give us an estimated time of delivery for the theme update?

I am sure many others are as excited as I am for your news on this subject :)

Thanks!

Hi,

1) Shoppica will be upgraded to work with OC 2.0 until the end of the year (maybe earlier fingers crossed :) ). Hopefully, there will be a more stable version of OpenCart at that date.

2) As we were finishing the development of Pavilion, it was easier to add OC 2.0 compatibility for this theme first.

3) About the question: is it worth to spend $48 just to switch to OC 2.0; the answer is NO. But it is worth to use all other great Pavilion features like: Drag & Drop page builder, 20+ custom content blocks (modules), menu composer, layer slider, style editor and many many more. Pavilion has 100 times more feature (literally) :)

A piece of advice: do not upgrade to 2.0… yet :) The feature gain at this time is minimal – new default theme, user custom fields and built-in modification engine. Unfortunately there are still quite a few bugs and non working extensions :)

Hey Themeburn

Wow, Fantastic answers :) and some very valuable points to be considered :)

I think I will definitely include pavilion into our next budget allocation :) I am now convinced :)

Thanks for the support!

Do you plan to make this work with OpenCart version 2?

ThemeBurn

Hi,

Yes, we will make Shoppica compatible with OC 2 until the end of the year.

OC 2 has quite a few non fixed bugs anyway :)

Hello!

I just added my twitter account into the website: zifawebsolutions(dot)com/jafarms/

But in the twitter box, all I see is: Bad Authentication data Please, check your twitter settings in the admin panel

Take note I only provided twitter name using “Custom widget” Twitter Integration. I left Consumer key, Consumer secret, access token, access secret empty as I have no idea what to put there.

I also used the “Default Widget” Twitter Integration but replacing only the first part with the following: Tweets by @JAFARMSASIAPINC

but the feeds that show up is the one from themeburner. I suppose I need to change data-wdiget-id as well? I like the latter (althought I haven’t seen the former) but either way, both doesn’t work on me.

Please help! Sam

Hello Sam,

We’ve made video tutorials, how to obtain code and information for both custom and default integration. You can check it here:

Hi!

How do I add another menu as a link? I want to add a blog link on top menu. Currently, what shows up are Home, Major categories and Information

I want to be able define a link there rather than put some info in the “Information” link.

So what I would like to see in top menu are Home | Major categories | Blog | Contact Us (or what ever links I want there)

Cheers! Sam

Hello Sam,

You can add a new menu from Pavilion CP > Theme Settings > Store > Menu.

Pavilion CP?Where is that? I’m using Shoppica 2 CP version 2.2.5 for Opencart 1564, am I missing something?

ThemeBurn

You are not missing anything, it’s our mistake.

Unfortunately, you cannot modify main navigation from the theme options panel in Shoppica. This can be done manually, however:
