Showcase - Premium Display/Gallery WordPress Theme

Hello I bought the theme and when trying to send message via contact form it doesn’t send any but only the send button change to “sending message” and nothing else.

How to fix it?

Like the theme and I am thinking off buying it, but have some reflections on the themes behavior, can you please answer these questions for me?

Is it possible to make this theme instead of showing text when pressing an image to just show the image directly?

And, on my screen the resolute.. When I am changing the size of the page, the right column of pictures becomes “CUT”, like a 1/4 of them is cut away. Is this a known bug?

Haffy, unless you are a programmer (wordpress/php) I would hold off on buying until the support for this theme wakes up – you’ll just be another frustrated buyer (see the last 4 pages of comments).

Everyone who was interested in my mods – you’ll need to wait a little – my laptop died and I lost a little bit of the work (not much lost luckily – thanks to netbeans IDE ).

I have a major “paid” project this week; so I might not have a heap of time to work on it – but I’m flying to a new country next week, so i’ll have 48hrs to sort it out.

Keep checking in here – I’ll update it every day or so.

OneQuality – not yet. Just finished the templating engine. All posts can now have their display template modified via meta data… This was way faster than using file system fetches under scale testing.

Am currently relooking at the JS and writing de-queuing functions – man there was some serious bloatware in this theme…

Have finished my normal job, so I’ll spend half an hour on it now; should be able to sort out a few more items. I’m not going to release this extension until it’s mostly bug free…

abstractventures: Thanks for the answer. Even thou I have bought it before the answer, it was a nice heads up. Then I will have to try to figure it out by myself, I am not a programmer. But I love the theme so I will have to make it work.

abstractventures: What is it you are developing, it this your theme or are you modding it in some way, do you have a homepage for this, if that’s the case?

abstractventures: I now have read up on the posts, and I also want you modifications. Especially the one where the thumbnails do not crop down at the far right.

The theme has great potential. I’m trying to create a “child-theme”, but unfortunately it was not written to support it; so the installation will be a little “hacky”.

No worries, just make a simple guide and I think many will use it

Just purchased the theme & was so excited to get everything functioning. I am having the same problem most are it seems.

When I am creating a new post do I need to create a small thumbnail as well as my large image? Until I do so it seems absolutely nothing will work.

I can see the loading bar and the page remains blank.

I have unfortunately just read through all the comments in frustration after purchase in attempt to get it to work properly. The instructions supplied are only adequate for the first few steps of install. The most detailed instructions should be supplied on the post process for the images.

If there was any support, that person could simply create a video or series of screen shots walking through the setup 100% and i’m sure 99.9% of our questions would then be answered.

I have thought about giving up on this theme but I love it. It is everything (if functioning) I need.

jennejenne: To get the theme to work you will need to do some thing. THe manual is kinda hard to read out. But I will try to help you.

1. You will be neding a menu, do this under “appearance” > “menu”

2. You will be needing some kategories, I have Main, Lifestyle, Action and Fashion ( http://www.haffy.eu/ ). Do this under “posts” > “categories”.

3. You will be needing to add some stuff under “appearance” > “widgets”, as this picture is showing http://www.haffy.eu/upload/1.png . In here you will be making the menu from the “categories” you made earlier.

4. Make some posts to fill the “categories” with, make the post like this http://www.haffy.eu/upload/2.png . And choose your categories like this http://www.haffy.eu/upload/3.png

(I am using the Swedish version of Wordpress, so maby some words in the screenshoot you will not understand. But try translate.google.com)

It’s quite important that people read – I am a buyer – my mods (however long they take) are not on a “request” basis; I’m modding the theme because I need them for my site and am happy to let other people use it. They will be unsupported and I am in No way affiliated with the developers of this theme.

Also note, this project could be dropped at any moment – such is the world of venture projects…

@abstractventures I’d like to know how I could retrieve your mods to this theme. I’m about to purchase the theme but before I do so, I’d like to know where I could download the mods. I appreciate your efforts so so much.

Was almost about to buy this theme, but so glad I read these comments first – I will hold off. I need to see more documentation before I commit. The main questions I need answered are:

1) Can this theme support posts as graphic items on the front page? I have a large site already working in WP, and each post is a project (with a featured image) and I’m hoping this theme would simply grab the featured image of each post and then tile them on the home page (like the demo).

2) Are there permalinks to each post? The demo doesn’t show this. If I click on anything (About Us) for example, a slider comes out, but there doesn’t appear to be any way to link to the About Us page. I have a lot of viewers who link to specific posts on my site, and I need the assurance that if I migrate to this theme, they will still work. (As an example, if you try to go to this page in the demo http://themes.ddwebstudios.net/wordpress/showcase/about-us/, it doesn’t work correctly.

Is there extensive documentation with this theme after you purchase it? It sure would help me to be able to see it, so I can determine if this theme would work for me. (I love it visually.)
