I have installed the showtime theme, and then on the godaddy server we have the site scanner to detect any vulnerabilities with our website. This came about because of some malicious content that was being put on our site.

We have taken care of the malicious content, but the godaddy site scanner is still telling us Your Web server is vulnerable to cross-site scripting attacks.

Description:

Your website contains pages that do not properly sanitize visitor?provided input to make sure it contains no malicious content or scripts. Cross?site scripting vulnerabilities let malicious users execute arbitrary HTML or script code in another visitor’s browser.

They have said that I need to contact you to patch this security problem.

can you help with this?

I am using Wordpress in conjunction with GravityForms, a popular plugin.

GravityForms works fine with most themes, except Showtime, where it throws a bunch of Javascript errors. So as far as I can tell, it’s a Showtime issue, not a GravityForms issue.

If you place an href link like

in either of them they will break just after href=.

Why? It would be nice to be able to add links in those 2 places in the footer.

Hey guys! Great theme!

I am trying to add parent menu items that are just headings, so I’ve added a custom link but left the url blank. But they seem to remain active for some reason, and when clicked on, they take me to a /undefined/ directory. Is there any way to turn this off so they will not be active at all?

How are dropdown menus supposed to work when viewing on a smartphone?

I tested different browsers on my Nexus 4 (Opera and Firefox) and the behavior also shows in them as well. But, if you go to another theme like Flare (http://themeforest.net/item/flare-responsive-business-portfolio-wp-theme/full_screen_preview/1969512) and test, their menus work correctly on the Nexus 4 in all 3 browsers. So, it does not seem to be Wordpress or the Nexus 4 or the browser that is the issue. This points to the issue being a menu issue in the Showtime theme. Just wanted you to know how I tested and the results I got.

STOP!!! I found the problem. It is NOT with the Showtime theme. It seems that the “Responsive Contact Form” plugin causes this behavior when activated in Showtime. Remove “Responsive Contact Form” and the behavior goes away. I’m sorry if I wasted any of your time tracking down an issue that was not yours.

I am having some trouble with the visual editor on one of my pages. It is overlapping all of the text and images and making it impossible to edit. The text editor is working fine and the published page looks great, we just can’t change anything with the visual editor. Any suggestions? I have tried uninstalling all plugins, erasing the page and starting it over, updating everything, adding a tiny ice advanced plugin and nothing helps. Any feedback you can give us would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Lastly, I also had the malicious attack happen and I was able to fix it just by updating everything but I was wondering if it was still vulnerable to attack or if there was an update that fixed this before I re-purchased. I’m sorry, maybe it’s me, but for $45 dollars that I paid for this theme, upon theme installation everything should look like the offered. If I knew I was going to sit there and play with plugins, menus, etc out of the gate, I would have never spent this money. You offered a theme and I expected to get what I paid for. I understand there is no refunds, so I have to write this one off! This might me an issue with themeforest allowing this. :(

Thank you for your response.. But I think you should at least explain what it will take to get it to look like your demo & offer instead of the surprise after you spend $45 on it. For example, In order to view your site as we have presented you will have to install several plugins and watch our video, before you buy.. Instead of spending the money only to find out you have work to do in order to get it to look like the demo being offered. I am not a word press expert, so I am lost and don’t have the time to put all the pieces together like a puzzle.Themeforest should enforce this. I know several themes once installed everything is already there. Why you couldn’t do that is beyond me.

I completely understand what you are saying, but please note that this theme is more than 3 years old and One Click Demo installations are “hot” for only about a year. We have these in most of our new themes and they are mentioned on the item page before you purchase.

Hi there,

I am trying to make changes to the widgets within my site. Every time I make a change and click save, it says it is saved but it doesn’t save it.

Any change I make to the widgets do not update. I cannot update widgets or create new ones as they do not save in the widget areas.

Do you have any ideas what can be causing this issue?
