Showtime - Business and Portfolio WordPress Theme

I know it doesn’t list it in the details of this theme, but does it support dynamic sidebars?

I have added the plugin, but it does not seem to show anything when i use it, just wondering if there is something special i need to do?

Thanks for getting back to me, I have managed to solve it now with the help of a friend.

The plugin i am using is Dynamic Sidebars. I was trying to use widgets as siderbars throughout the site. Having individual control over which sidebar is on which page.

The widgets in your theme show based on the page, so by commenting that out in sidebar.php, the dynamic sidebars work although i have to create a custom sidebar and then use that, i cannot use widgets such as home page 1, 2 or 3. I also have to define sidebars for every page. It has achieved what i want, but it is a bit of hack since it effectively breaks part of your theme.

I have a fresh install of wordpress 3.4.2 and just purchased showtime3.3. My future home page looks all beat up …. http://www.improve-results.com/newsite/ looks like a column is out of whack Also in the freshpanel admin area in the browse my themes box, I see a file not found error: Not Found The requested URL /freshpanel/mythemes.php ideas? that file is where it should be though.

Hello FF – I am having 2 issues that I would really appreciate some assistance with

1. when adding the FreshPopular Widget it displays small blank squares at the top of each post. How can I get rid of this?

2. How can I adjust he width of the slider text so that it displays full lower case letters (currently cutting off the “y” )

can the gallery section of this theme allow for multiple pages? ex filling up one page with say 10 images and at the bottom having a navigation of page 1, page 2, page 3 etc?

I have a vrey unsual problem. E.g. i set the skin color to green and save. after reload the admin page or refresh the home-page. all settings are resetted to the default values. I use wordpress 3.4.2. i have no plugins. What can it be? Any ideas?

I am a novice at building sites. I am using Showtime 3.3 here: http://goo.gl/Z1tBB

The theme has generally lived up to its billing and while not unhappy I am incresaingly frustrated by the theme’s claim that it is compatible across all browsers. Here is an example of a page which looks as intended on Firefox, but looks like crap on IE. Colors that render in FF and IE do not render in Chrome or Safari. Same thing with gradient colors.

I cannot get the border-radius to work on IE, cannot figure our why some colors don’t carry over on Chrome and/or Safari, yada, yada.

It is possible that in my efforts to try and get this to work [like creating a border-radius.htc file in the theme’s root, scratching around in the style sheet, and generally tinkering around] I have broken something, but at this point I am stumped and looking for help.

Can someone reading this give me a push in the right direction?

Hi Thanks for developing this template. A couple of questions.

1. Is it possible to have the slider restart automatically after you hover the mouse over it? On my site it remains static once you have scrolled through some of the slides.

2. Is it possible to replace the search function (in the top right corner of the homepage) with the social media widget?

I want to use the plugin “CodeStyling Localization” to translate each and every phrases in your theme but this message is displayed on the control panel of the plugin.

What is happening here? The least of my problems is not having access to the translation of his theme, I worry more if for example Google believes that this script is malware.

Hello. The portfolio part of this template was very important and does not seem to have the ability to do what we need. We need to be able to create a portfolio page which lists all categories and has 1 image from each category. When you click on the image we need that to go to the specific sub category portfolio page (not lightbox). Then when you click on the images within the sub category portfolio we need it to open a url not a lightbox. Is this possible?

Hi, I just bought this theme and I’m trying to get set up. I see here that is says that the theme is well documented but the only documentation I can find is some links to videos in the help folder, which would be ok, but the videos seem to not have any audio. Is that how it’s supposed to be?

(Yes, I have the volume turned up and all my other audio apps work fine).
