Yes, exactly.
Hi,
It’s possible but you need a little bit more advanced code. You must edit the header file (for the menu) and set up conditional functions. Check the WP Codex for these functions. For example you need the is_page(‘Page Name’) function.
Cheers!
The recent update to WordPress 3.5 introduced an issue that leaves the post editor completely unresponsive with the Shuffle theme active. The editor behaves normally with the default theme applied.
Post and page titles can be created or edited, however content cannot be viewed, created or edited in either the WordPress visual or text editor. All default, and theme related icons and features are absent from editor tool bar. I retested the theme on a fresh install of 3.5 with no plugins, with the same result. Any chance there might be a theme update in the works? Or is my experience unique for some reason?
Hi there,
Yes, you’re right. I’m checking it right now. I’ll let you know right away after I find the fix.
Cheers!
I think I’ve fixed it. Please send me a message through the contact form on my profile page.
Let me know when you send the message.
Cheers!
I have sent the message. Thank you!
Hi,
Sent you a reply.
Cheers!
Works great! Thank you again!
For our problem, you said we should refer to the help files. This was sent via Theme Forest contact form on 12/16/12:
OK, the instructions for making our website like the sample ARE NOT THERE in our help files: http://webdesignbysteve.com/yavapaimattress/help/
I have viewed the comments, and you have sent these instructions to people who asked for them.
We want our home page (staging URL: http://webdesignbysteve.com/yavapaimattress/) to be just like this: http://www.freaklife.com/redirect/?theme=shuffle – with 2 rows of 3 columns, no sidebar, and 1 column below to place whatever we need.
Also, we are using WordPress 3.5 and possibly have the same issue as DozerJohnson … there’s no special menu with the editor.
This is VERY CRITICAL as we cannot commence with this website until this is solved.
Hi there,
1. Please download the theme again from your account. I’ve uploaded an updated version that fixes the problems that came along with WP 3.5.
2. Please send me a message through the contact form on my profile page and I’ll send you the detailed instructions. Additionally, if you want, you can send me a test username and pw. on your website and I can set the theme up right away just like the demo page and you can start customizing from there.
Cheers!
I’ve also sent you a reply to your email.
Cheers!
I thought it might be issues with 3.5, I’ve had 2 others affected (from mugdiller’s designer). I’ll email you.
Sent you a reply on your emails.
Cheers!
QUESTION REMOVED
Answered my own question.
Can you tell me what you changed? I have made some modifications to the theme and don’t want to re-do everything.
Hi there,
Simply go to the “admin” folder and replace the file named “tinymce_buttons.php” with the new one and from the “admin > js” folder the file “tinymce_plugin.php” replace it with the “tinymce_plugin.js” one.
Done.
Cheers!
I tried to upload the theme into wordpress and it shot back this error message.
“The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Theme install failed.”
This was the zipped file and including all files downloaded. Am I missing something or is there another piece that I need to complete the install?
Thank you.
Hi there,
You mustn’t upload the whole .zip file you’ve downloaded. This file contains the theme, the .psd sources and the documentation.
Extract the content and only upload the file named “shuffle.zip” that you’ll find inside.
Cheers!
Thank you, One more question, My ability to create a drop down menu has stopped working. When I go to the menu editor and drag the page to its proper place to reformat the menu it allows me to save but it does not actually save any of the changes made. It only lets me save changes that pull pages out of the drop down menu. Now my header menu has around 12 buttons in it. Is there a way to reset just the menu functions? I am nearing completion of the site and it would be horrible to start from scratch. I tried creating a new menu, the same problems occurred in the new menu.
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
Disregard above message, I cleared my cache and web history and the problem cleared up. Thank You
It’s been 2 weeks since we asked you about correcting our HTML tables. Can you please help us?
We sent you an email through Theme Forest on Friday 1/4/13 and have not received a response yet. We have also emailed you.
For a novice (my client) to edit the content using the column shortcodes, it’s a bit too complicated, so we’re reverting to using tables. BUT—>
We couldn’t get the tables to display right – you’ll see the wording is moved down creating a large whitespace: http://webdesignbysteve.com/yavapaimattress/tables-examples/
Also, I when I use cellpadding or cellspacing to the home page tables, it has no effect. So I had to use
so that the content wouldn’t run into the next cell (my client won’t want to compromise – see cell containing: How to Buy a Mattress).
Hi there,
I’ve sent you about 5 emails on your address. Please check your spam folder.
Cheers!
Good afternoon, I upgraded to wordpress 3.5 and disappeared the text editor and content. This isn´t a plugins problem because I deactivated plugins at all. I hope your answer. Thanks !
Hi there,
If you didn’t make any changes to the theme files, simply download the latest version of the theme from your account.
Cheers!
Hello,
I updated Wordpress and all of the special features on the editor are gone…. like the button to create tabs and on some browsers, content it gone. How do I get these features back on my site?
Hi there,
If you didn’t do any changes to the theme files, simply download the latest version of the theme from your account.
Cheers!
So, I download it from this page and upload it again to Wordpress? I can’t find a way to upload through wordpress.
If you didn’t do any changes to the theme files you can simply delete the theme from your WP dashboard and upload the new version of the theme. Your settings won’t be lost.
Cheers!
Hi After updating to WordPress 3.5, the Nivo Slider stopped working properly. I have updated the theme, but I only got it to work again by using an older version of jQuery. The problem with this is that some functions in the WP-admin stopped working, like the drag-and-drop sorting of widgets. Do you have any solution for this problem?
Hi there,
If you didn’t do any changes to the theme files simply download and install the latest version of the theme.
Cheers!
How can I change the content area of the background in the theme to white? Thanks
Hi there,
Go to the theme options page > Styling and paste this in the “Custom CSS” box:
Save. Done.Cheers!
