Obviously there is an update of the revolution slider with massive improvements. The author (Themepunch) says that I have to contact you because the plugin was part of your package. What do I have to do? Need the installation soon.

Just contact me via my profile and I’ll send the update over, simple :)

Bought “Slide” and I’m very happy!

If the Ebor Social plugin would feature a link to Flickr too, it would be perfect!!

tommusrhodus

Hey there,

Thanks, I’ve made a note of this :) You can always grab ZillaSocial in the mean time for this: http://www.themezilla.com/plugins/zillasocial/

Cheers! :)

Hi, can you tell me how do I keep links to unpublished posts from appearing in the list of ‘last 15 posts’ in the archive? Thanx

tommusrhodus

Hey there,

Go to “appearance” -> “editor” and click on page_archives.php in the right hand list.

Find this:

$recent_posts = wp_get_recent_posts( 'numberposts=15' );

Change to:

$recent_posts = wp_get_recent_posts('numberposts=15&post_status=publish');

Save & you’re done :)

Your solution worked. Thanks for the fast reply!

tommusrhodus

No problem :) If you’re happy with the theme and with my support, be sure to give Side a rating from the Downloads page of your themeforest account.

Cheers!

Hi Tommus!!

I would like to includ a field (an image) instead of the slider in the homepage? Could you tell me where I have to include this line (file, line) :

<?php the_field(‘field_name’); ?>

Thank you. (sorry but tickets support doesn’t work today)

For the rest, everything is all right!!!!! :)

And the good size for the image… :)

tommusrhodus

Hey there,

You’ll want to insert that into page_home.php above the_content(); Image size will depend on your own preference :)

You can use revolution slider for just 1 slide you know, might be a little better for you since then you wouldn’t have to customise the theme :)

Perfect!!! Actually I use rev slider for other web sites. Very good but I prefer to use an image when it s possible because for users it’s faster to open the page (in my opinion). Tahnk you. :)

My site is ready. Finally I can tell that : - Side works with WPML - It’s very easy to add cutom field with TYPES plugin - Support is very reactive and effective

I recommend this theme!!!! :)

tommusrhodus

:D thanks so much!

I love this theme! Such great work. Clean and sexy. It had 95% of what my client wanted and I was able to tweak to give them 99%. Thank you!

tommusrhodus

:D Thanks so much!

Wonderful theme! Just one question: can I change the order of featured blog posts on the Homepage? New portfolio posts appear always on top of the page in the first row, but featured blog posts (new ones) appear at the bottom of the page :( Thanks and keep up the good work!

tommusrhodus

Oh that’s pretty easy :)

Got to “appearance” => “editor” and click on “page_home.php” in the right hand list.

Delete everything in the file and replace with this:

Save and you’re done :)

Hi!

Great portfolio! I have one question though, which I can not find in your documentation.

On my sidebar menu in the bottom it says: “Configure in “Appearance” => “Customise new” => “Footer”

I have looked in the appearance menu but there is no “customize new” or “footer” tab.

Also in your documentation you clearly have footer options available in your widgets. On my widgets page I don’t have the footer options available like you do.

So my question: How do I remove this “footer” from my side menu?

Thanks in advance, And hopefully you will reply.

Berend

tommusrhodus

Hey there,

“appearance” => “customise” => “footer settings” is what you need :)

Cheers!

Newbie here… can’t install Marble…PLEASE HELP

tommusrhodus

This is not the comments section for marble, please comment on the theme you purchased.

Hello, thanks for your beautiful and user friendly theme! I have difficulties creating a margin / border around the Revolution Slider on my homepage. When I choose for autoresponsive, I don’t get margins, the slider goes fullscreen left and right. Which settings did you use for your demo, if I may ask? And another question: I installed Ebor Portfolio but my portfolios aren’t showing up in the sidebar, nor on the homepage (though I checked the box ‘Feature this Portfolio on Homepage’. Do I have to install a widget? Many thanks in advance!

Hi, thanks a lot! I’ll try tonight. But here’s my URL anyway: Stukvankunst.nl

tommusrhodus

It looks like you’ve directly added the rev slider into the blog index, this isn’t what you’re meant to do :)

You may want to take a look through our documentation about creating the homepage, you’re mean to have a page set as the homepage in “settings” => “reading” along with another set as the “posts page”

Cheers

Hi Tommus, OK that explains it. I’m going to do some homework! Thanks for putting me back on track :-)!

Thanks a lot for helping me out today, the documentation helped a lot, it’s incredibly detailed! I tried the code you gave earlier to ‘Shutterlust’ (it worked). Is there also a possibility to mix the posts and portfolios on the homepage? Right now they stay grouped: portfolios first, or posts first. A possiblity could be: ordering the posts and portfolios based on publishing time and/or tag? (rest assured, I won’t keep bothering you! ;-)

tommusrhodus

Hey there,

No, sorry, because of the way a WordPress loop works (it’s a little constrained) it won’t be possible to mix these 2 post types.

cheers!
