+6 moreI have to say this one look pretty dang good!
Awesome job.
Thanks Dany
I worked pretty darn hard after the HTML version to revamp it and throw in a bunch of extra backend features, so I hope everyone enjoys it!
very nice theme but i wonder is there is navigation of the front page ? from page on to page two?
Pagination happens automatically after you exceed the specified numbers of posts per page (right now I have it set on the demo to 20 posts – since there are 20 posts exactly the pagination doesn’t show up).
But yes, there is full support for pagination (Next Posts / Previous Posts) at the bottom of each page and you can set the number of posts on each grid page to whatever number you want.
Great theme
good luck Brandon
Thanks!
The theme looks awesome so far, but I do have an issue. Let me first say that I looked on your forum but there doesn’t appear to be a category started yet for this theme.
I can’t seem to figure out why the target, alt and rel for the images on this page (an many others like it) are being shown: http://goo.gl/W1n52. Any ideas?
Heya Bgoheen,
I’ll be firing up the support forum category over the weekend once the initial feedback comes in
For the images – it looks like you’re closing out the [a] tag before the rel and alt is written… which means that you are essentially just treating them as text links inside the [a] tag. Move the > bracket that’s right after the href declaration to after the rel declaration (or just remove the first instance of the > bracket) and you’ll be good to go – just a little HTML syntax typo.
Cheers! Brandon
Brandon – thanks for the fast response. The problem I’m having is that this is done with a plugin and I don’t know where the code is for the images. I could possibly edit the code (if I find it) but I’m sure any updates will make this problem reappear. The plugin is dsIDXpress and it is essential to my website.
This issue doesn’t happen on other themes I’ve tried, so that is why I figured it might be some kind of conflict with the theme.
Heya Bgoheen – that’s odd… there’s no logical reason why the theme itself would be messing up their code since there I’m not using any special coding that would interfere at all. It sounds like the code they are inserting is buggy… but I can’t think of a way to fix it short of contacting them. I’ll be glad to poke my nose around though and see if I can’t find a way to work around it
I’ll post back here if anything turns up!
I would appreciate the help. The plugin is dsidxpress and you might need an activation key, which is free, from dsidxpress.com. It is for real estate listings and the key will give you access to dummy listings.
Did you see my other question about shortcodes? A reference to where I can find documentation on those would be helpful. Thanks!
I’ll be happy to check into it for ya – just give me a day or so (about to walk out for weekend errands at the moment).
For the shortcodes, all the documentation that’s really necessary is here : http://sidewinder.makedesignnotwar.com/themes/wp/mu/wpmu/features/shortcodes/
The shortcodes are loaded in from /functions/shortcodes.php in case you need to see the code that’s being injected.
My first instinct was going to be to tell you to try deleting/turning off the [clear] shortcode as that’s the only one that might insert a linebreak… but not having the time to test it out at the moment, I’ll have to check into it when I get back to the office tomorrow
Either way we’ll sort it out.
Cheers! Brandon
Hey Brandon, did you get a chance to check into this? I really like the theme but if it doesn’t work with the plugin then I’ll have to find another one.
Also, for some reason the image height of the 1st post image is smaller then the rest of them – 117px to be exact.
Hello , very interesting theme ! Is it possible to make slideshow gallery inside blog post?
Sure – I’d actually recommend using a plugin like our Simple Wordpress Gallery for that as it’s probably the easiest thing that you’re going to find. http://codecanyon.net/item/simple-wordpress-gallery/125518
Cheers! Brandon

Good luck with your sales!
Thanks Philo! Props to you for setting up the initial codebase for it
We make a good team once again!
Nice Theme,
Diferent Sidebars for pages and post?
Hover Efects for gallery, Blog post and more?
Thanks
Hi Javier,
Yes, you can have different sidebars for various posts and pages – I actually recommend using the Sidebar Generator plugin as it’s the quickest way to get that done and it’s just about the most flexible thing out there. I’ve “baked in” the SG plugin in the past (with Themeology for instance), but as it’s easier on customers to allow you guys to update the plugin independent of updating the entire theme, I’ve kept it out of the theme this time around. Rest assured, it’ll work just fine though

Wow, excellent theme, well designed!
Will definitely use this for a future project.
Cheers, Tom
P.S. Minor thing: In Safari on a Mac at least, the Form examples are invisible, meaning radio buttons, etc. Perhaps something to look at?
Thanks Tom – I’ll check into the styling – it’s possible that they’re just being stripped by reset.css on purpose and they’ll work in normal instances (like the contact form), but I’ll check it out and see if it needs a little love.
Brandon
Looks Awesome. Bookmarked
Thanks!
This is amazing. But there’s one major thing that’s stopping me from buying and using this theme: a lack of search filters.
The main selling point of this theme is its grid layout: the ability to present a large number of items (portfolio, blog, gallery etc) in a seemingly organised grid form.
However, on closer inspection the organisation of content is nowhere near what it needs to be in order for the theme to be truly usable.
At the moment, the search box is the only thing that allows me to drill down into site content.
Would it not be possible, for example, to set up a second layer of navigation, perhaps a horizontal bar (top or bottom of main content area) which houses the search box + a range of search filters (category, tag etc.)?
Extending access to the range of content types and layouts this theme supports, would raise it to a whole new level. Let me know what you think.
Heya Kiss,
Thanks for the comment. I’ll mention a few things that may not be readily apparent:
1) The entire grid is sortable by tags, categories, searching, and the normal WP filters… no, there isn’t an AJAX ui for it (yet, we have one but it’s not stable enough to release publicly), but anything you can do with a normal WordPress theme, you can do with this one. Each module is a post, and each post is sortable
2) You can actually set up independent Grid Blog pages and Traditional Blog pages using a unique Category_Filter custom field that allows you to display just one category on each page template… which means you can theoretically have an unlimited number of “grid blog pages” listed inside the main navigation.
3) Finally – I originally had the “Taxonomy” system turned off on the demo (it’s a toggle switch in the admin panel), but I’ll turn it on so you guys can see it: http://sidewinder.makedesignnotwar.com/themes/wp/mu/wpmu/category/inspiration/
In short, all archives pages have their own separate UI for filtering through tags, categories, etc.
Cheers! Brandon
Hello Great Theme! I’m already using it on my DesignZine. Check it: http://www.design-zine.com
I just need to tweak the side bar…i don’t like it…yet. I need to change the search and the social widgets…i would like to have them in the bottom of the sidebar…any idea?
Thank you so much! Regards
Hi Hi Ajfiel,
It looks like you got it sorted out just fine using the method I would have suggested: grab the widget ID or Class, and then insert a new CSS rule that binds them to the bottom using absolute positioning.
Nice work! Brandon
Woah Brandon! This theme is a trillion times better than anything out there! Gotta get this asap.
How you been though? You haven’t been on TF for sometime apparently.
- Naweed
Thanks Naweed! I’ve been pretty busy as editor at http://webdesign.tutsplus.com lately, but I’m planning on spending a lot more time over here now that I’ve got things in order at the tuts site
Another question about this theme – I don’t see documentation about using the shortcodes. Are they all just listed in the demo site? I tried to use the related posts code but it didn’t seem to work – nothing appeared.

+1 moreFinally a theme that mimics the Cargo Collective service. Bookmarked! This is way cheaper than their CMS .
Awesome
a fluid template. using it is easy and effective.
Just bought the theme, and must say am quite disappointed. Bought it for a french website and titles aint supporting accents like é or è nor apostrophe like L’ . So ugly and meaningless titles. Is there a way to change the black block on the left? cos it aint fitting with the “sky” background which actually is a wave. Is there an easy way to translate the theme? Too bad the idea is great but the theme isn’t done yet, you shouldn’t sell a draft. Unless you answer my issues soon, i think i just lost 35 bucks.
