Just recently bought the theme – looks fantastic. Well done on a great design.
One question though, how can I change the colour of the links inside the body (not the menu)? They are showing up as default blue (unvisited) and purple (visited).
Thanks. Looking forward to finishing the customization.
Open the ccs file with the name of the color you are using (blue.css, green.css, etc), scroll to the bottom, and on the last line write:
Hello, I am ready to purchase this them but wondering if the
Wordpress version is ready yet ?
Unfortunately we’ve pushed the WP version of the SiliconApp further down the line because we changed our WP developer.
I noticed on the contact form for this template there is no ‘validation’ for the user to enter before they send an email…
The validation I most commonly see is where a user has to enter some text that is ‘visually’ hard to read. This prevents ‘bots’ from scanning pages and automatically sending email.
Is this an issue for this template?
No this is not an issue with this template because the contact form doesn’t work.
I’m guessing you are taking about CAPTCHA and we suggest talking with your developer to implement CAPTCHA . This in only an HTML template. The validation is done with JS and the form its send with PHP but im sure your developer knows more about this than we do
Hope this helps.
I did not understand the the contact form was not actually coded. I thought I could just alter the html code and fill in the email address I wanted the email sent to.
Since I am an ultra-newbie and have no web developer can anyone provide me with example/sample code to enable this contact form and make it work ?
Also, I am trying to open the .PSD files that came with the source using photoshop 10.0 and get an error/crash of photoshop each time. is there a specific version of photoshop or certain plugins I need for it?
Thanks in advance
The contact form doesn’t work because its an HTML template, and we don’t have the skills to make it work, but we suggest trying to find a developer on the forums to help you with that.
Regarding the psd files, we’ve made them in CS3 , so I’m guessing is only a compatibility issue and if you upgrade your Photoshop it will work ok.
Cheers and thanks for the support.
Ok, I try to open any of the .PSD files with PhotoShop 10.0 CS3 and the first message I get is:
“Some text layers may need to be updated before they can be used for vector based input. Do you want to update these layers now?”
I have tried choosing both options. “No” and “Update”
In both cases photoshop crashes. I use photoshop extensively on this PC so I am not sure what could be the problem. Am I missing some extension ?
Hasnt happened for us on our 2 computers that we work on (one PC and one mac) and i’m almost sure that the Review team which checks all the projects before accepting them to Themeforest opened the PSD files in our archive. So is there any chance you can try on a different computer? Keep us posted and will try sending you a new batch of PSD files in case you still cant open them.
Hey guys, love the template. One question, how can I make the main menu drop down with sub-menus?
Thanks for the support.
Sure you can make the secondary menu, Im sure its not that hard implementing a js drop down menu.
We had in mind the secondary menu when designing the template, in a different way. For example on the Features page http://www.webcrafter.eu/SiliconApp/dark/blue/features.html you have the secondary menu on the right. You can always use the page template of the Features page to create a page that has a secondary menu on the right instead of having the drop down menu.
I can integrate a form for you with captcha validation for a VERY small fee. If interested, give me a shout.
How can I add Paypal code to the buttons in the pricing table? Normally I could do his with a single image, but I can’t get it to work with your butons. Thanks for your help.
We would love to help you but we’re not familiar with PayPal integration.
Maybe we could help if you could be more specific in explaining the issue.
I’m not sure, I understand exactly what seems to be the problem.
You are trying to put an [img] tag in the table and i doesn’t work?
Thanks guys for your quick replies. As for the Paypal Integration, I figured that out. Some coding errors on my part. Thanks for the suggestion on the secondary menu also. My business partner loves the new look for our site! Great template.
Any update on the wordpress version?
We plan to do it but we leave it for last, because we tried 4 times with 4 different developers and they all abandoned in 80%, 90% of the work done, and when we found our actual developer partners we said “Maybe is the project that everyone keep abandoned us (of course is not). Lets start with another.” And that’s the story. We launched Creative Juice, we uploaded C3 already and in the near future we’ll upload Art Gallery.
We’ll do Silicon App too, but further down the road
@webcrafters, you promised WordPress version more than 3 months ago! Should we wait for it forever?
Will there be a Wordpress version soon? My team and I love what you’ve done with the HTML version.
We plan to do it, but it will be further down the road. We have started and want to finish and upload C3, Art Gallery and after that we’ll start working on this.
Definitely a beautiful design. While I know it is a bit hard to undertake any final deadline, do you have any idea of when the WP version will be released? Do you think of it in terms of month(s) or semester(s)?
Keep up the good work!
Definitely months and not semesters. We promise that we’ll make it WP and we intend to keep that promise.
It should have been done by now if we weren’t stood up by 3 WP developers.
Now, we found one of the most dedicated and professional development team and we’ll bring all of our projects to WP.
Have you tried Fly New Media? They have a WordPress Expert.
is it me but the preview does not seem to work properly. The live preview looks messed up. I am using Safari 5 at the moment. Cheers
We are going through a re branding process so from today the WebCrafters is known as ThemeFuse.
Also, to celebrate our brand new name, we’ve made an awesome new project called WebStudio that we’ll release in a couple of days.
went to all this trouble to make this great template – and you did not include a FUNCTIONING contact? What is up with that?
No lame excuses either – make it complete
The way we see this template business, and our templates in particular, is to give you something of quality in terms of design, usability and coding on which you will build further.
If you don’t like it, don’t buy it, no problem, but we don’t appreciate the people that underestimate the value they are getting considering the money they pay. Never mind the approach.
And to give you the “lame excuse”, we are considering to make functional contact forms for all of our HTML projects now that we’ve partner our self with a team of developers.
We’ve updated the files.
The contact form is functional.
Thanks for your patience.
Great move guys! Damn proud of you!
I am a BUYER
I want any file I – as the BUYER – I want ALL
- - - - A L L
of the most BASIC elements of ANY project – I BUY
to be complete -
instead of taking the time to whine like a little child and have a hissy about it -
give – US – the BUYERS
the people who support your ability to feed yourself -
give us the most basic elements EVERY project should have – as in a complete working – usable out of the box product
_ - - - - We the buyers, will not support you any further -
Too many little designer egos that are not hearing the message – other designer/builders who really do LISTEN – I give them more money – repeatedly and by the tens of thousands per year – I bought more than 4,000 files last year -
When I bought this file – there was no mention that the file was not complete – otherwise, I would have simply moved on with NO regard to it. When I need a file, I have NO time to spend making all kinds of additional changes to it – IT MUST WORK IN ALL THE MOST COMMON FUNCTIONS – I put out more than 3,300 site projects last year with our sales department – If I have to spend an extra 2 to 3 hours making changes or modifications – it literally could cause me to lose more time and money – So we are now very careful NOT to buy any – ANY file that does not address the most basic functions
Listen to your buyers or the will no longer be buyers
and buy the way – the design is good – but NOT the concern here
Here is a good one for you to include in your future works!
The point of this is… hear the customer, earn there trust, confidence and heart. If you do… you’ll win more customers.
More importantly, you’ll keep them!
Use, by you or one client, in a single end product which end users are not charged for. The total price includes the item price and a buyer fee.
Why buy with Envato
