Hi Mike,
Any updates on adding the link icon like in Orson and the other cool things you mentioned you might update in Simon, like wider images?
I’m just experimenting with the theme at the moment, but when you bring these changes I want to switch my main blog over to Simon
Thanks again, Peter
Hey Peter.
The work is in progress, just trying to find time to wrap it up and release.
Sadly I am on a vacation next week, but will try and get something out before.
Many Thanks
Mike
Appreciate it thanks Mike!
Love your work. Your themes are like pokemon, gotta catch em all!
Hey Peter!
Just to let you know TF accepted the update to Simon!
Includes link icon, enable post footer and oversized media
Enjoy!
Awesome downloading it now!
No problem! Enjoy
Love the theme Mike! Exactly what I was looking for. Great job!
Also, I am new to the Tumblr/Blog scene, so bare with me on some of the questions I have below:
1. I would like to add 2 more Menu navigation links to the top of my blog, including an About Me and Contact page. How do I do that?
2. Also, once I have added the About Me and Contact nav. links, how do I go about adding the information on those pages?
3. I would like to be able to adjust the spacing between my Logo and the Description and between the Description and Menu. Where can I do that?
Thanks!
Hey Candycorn523,
Glad you like the theme, its my favourite but sshh!
Just to clarify:
1) You want to add two more menu items on to the four that are already there?
2) You would use Tumblr’s pages feature: http://www.tumblr.com/docs/en/pages
3) You would need to add some Custom CSS . Once I get a reply to the above question, I will create a support article with details on increasing the spacing.
Again, many thanks for the purchase, and I await your reply
Mike
1) Yes, I would like to add two more menu items on to the four that are already there. 2) Got it.
Hey, thanks for waiting, answers below:
1) This support article should do it: https://mikedidthis.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/785718-add-extra-menu-links
2)
3) This support article should do it: https://mikedidthis.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/785751-increase-space-between-logo-description-and-menu
Let me know how you get on.
Many Thanks

Hi Mike,
Thank you so much for the support articles! They were easy to follow and fixed the issues I was having.
I am continuing to move along with setting up my blog. I have some more questions for you if you dont mind
:
1) The colored border is not bleeding off the bottom. How do I fix this? See Image1 link for reference:
2) The spacing between each menu item varies. How can I create equal spacing between each menu item. See Image2 link for reference:
3) How can I edit the title that appears at the top of the web browser window, for each page on my website. See Image3 link for reference:
4) How can I add a Copyright statement where the Theme Credit is? See Image4 link for reference:
Thank you for all your help!
Hey!
Glad the articles helped. Can you link me to your tumblr blog? I can give more specific CSS that way.
Also Simon was updated last night, so maybe worth installing that for some nice treats
Many Thanks
Mike
Hey,
Below are the answer / support articles:
1) Sure thing, just follow this article (I will add this into the next update): https://mikedidthis.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/819841-make-page-border-100-height
2) I have updated this article (last paragraph) to adjust the spacing: https://mikedidthis.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/785718-add-extra-menu-links
3) The title of the blog is what ever you name you have given to your Tumblr Blog. It looks at the moment like its currently blank?
4) Sure: https://mikedidthis.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/819843-edit-theme-credits
I hope these help! Again many thanks for the purchase, and don’t forget to rate!
Hi Mike,
Here is the link to my tumblr blog – http://ckasha.tumblr.com
Also, how can I install the new update without overriding the changes I have made to some of the code?
Thanks so much!
Hey Candy.
Thanks for the link.
As for updating sadly, you will have to override and piece together the changes you have made to the code.
Any theme options you have set will remain, its actual changes to the HTML that will be reset. So for example the extra link items you would need to create again sadly.
Tumblr doesn’t offer much help for theme updates.
Hi Mike,
I updated my blog to the latest version of Simon!
I was wondering if you have answers yet to the Four issues I inquired about two comments before (15 days ago)?
Let me know! Thanks so much for your help!
Hey Candy,
I shall create a support ticket with details on the 4 amendments you need.
Many Thanks
Mike
Hi Mike,
Thank you for the support articles! I really appreciate all your help!
1)The support articles for adjusting the page border height and editing the theme credits perfectly fixed my problem.
2) The support article for editing the spacing between the menu items only allowed me to increase the spacing, not make the spacing even. For example, if you look at my site (http://ckasha.tumblr.com), you’ll notice the spacing between “Home” and “About” is still dramatically larger than the spacing between the other menu items. How can we fix this?
3) How can I edit the different titles that appear at the top of the web browser window for each page of my website? For example, the title that appears at the top the browser window for the Archive page is ” : Archive” or for the Contact page is ”- Contact” or for the Home page is ”- Admiring, Experimenting, Inspiring, and Growing with Design”.
Once again, thanks again for bearing with all my questions. I appreciate it!
Hey,
Glad they helped. Responses below:
2) Very last paragraph of the support article (https://mikedidthis.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/785718-add-extra-menu-links) use the margin based Custom CSS :header ul li { width: auto; margin: 0% 4%; }3) Again, you need to add a title to your Tumblr Site. Under the Customisation Option the first couple of options are Title > Description. Add the Title of your site here and the page will be then named: YOUR TITLE – Admiring, Experimenting… etc.
Hope this helps.
Many Thanks
Mike
Hi Mike,
2) I tried that, and it only increased/decreased the spacing between the menu items, not make the spacing even. The spacing between “Home” and “About” is still a larger spacing than the spacing between the other menu items.
3) Got it. Thank you for clarifying.
Appreciate all the help!
Hey.
2) http://i.imgur.com/tvGY5.png – Like so? I did this following the last paragraph on the support article.
Many Thanks
Mike
Hi Mike,
Sorry for giving you a hard time. I figured out what was causing it to not work. I had this code in my Custom CSS creating conflict:
header ul li { width: 19%; }
Many thanks for all your help. Your support articles have been extremely helpful.
Hey candycorn523.
Honestly, no hard time at all, thanks for taking the time to ask questions, and hopefully other users will find the articles useful!
Many thanks and don’t forget to rate the theme!
Mike
Hi Mike,
How can I hide/remove the Tagged feature just on my Contact and About pages?
Hey Candy,
Sure thing I will look into it, make a support article shortly.
Thanks
Mike
Thanks so much Mike!
Hi Mike,
In addition to hiding/removing the Tagged feature on the Contact page, could you recommend the best way to embed a contact form on the Contact page? I want something more than the “Ask” feature that tumblr provides, and I tried using Wufoo, but it is just not working out.
Thanks!
Hi Candy,
Hmm any reason why the embed code doesn’t work?
Can you fire it to me as a support message? support@mikedidthis.co.uk
Many Thanks
Mike
Hi Mike,
I tried using JotForm instead of Wufoo and I was able to embed the code. Just still haven’t figured out how to remove the Tagged feature from my Contact and About page. Looking forward to your support article.
Thank you for all your help!
Candy
Hey Candy,
Glad you got it sorted! Support article is here: https://mikedidthis.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/850749-remove-comments-notes-from-pages
I will add it as a proper fix in the next update.
Thanks
Mike
Hi Mike,
Thank you for the support article. I followed the directions exactly, but the “Tagged” footer is still showing on my About and Contact page. (See Image links below) I do want the “Tagged” footer to still appear at the bottom of my blog postings, just not at the bottom of my About and Contact page.

Also, how do I adjust the spacing between the Menu and the content below the Menu. I would like to decrease the space. See Image link below:
Thanks so much!
Candy
Hey Candy.
I actually think this will need to be a theme update, to move the tag loop, so it only creates the footer if there are actual tags
Leave it with me, I will do this, and a support article for the header margin shortly.
Many Thanks
Mike
Awesome! Thanks so much Mike! Looking forward to it.
-Candy
Hi Mike,
Any updates on the theme update to move the tag loop or the support article for the header margin?
Thanks so much, Candy
Hey Candy.
Today / tomorrow I am doing all my theme support, so it should be too long.
Again many thanks
Mike
Sounds great Mike. Thanks for the update!
-Candy
Hey Candy.
First I must apologise for the delay in getting the update out. Things are kinda crazy at the moment, but its not really an excuse.
I have good news. Simon 1.4 is on its way to TF as we speak, and your support article is here: https://mikedidthis.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/891329-adjust-header-margin
Again, many thanks for the purchase. If you like the theme or support, don’t forget to rate!
Cheers
Mike

Hi Candy,
Yep. Sorry for the delay, I had some personal things I needed to address this week.
Simon will be updated before the end of the week.
Many Thanks
Mike
Hi, I was wondering where I can find the code to decrease the size of posts of links. thanks
Hey!
Sorry, I may need more coffee, but I am not 100% sure what your asking for? Could you clarify this for me. If its easier, feel free to send a message to support@mikedidthis.co.uk
Many Thanks
Mike
