This feature is coming in the update that I’m currently working on, so stay tuned.

Great skin but is it possible that you didn’t notice few bugs - five 48pix images are missing - instead their locations, in html file is icons/path-to-icon.png

alexcroox is right, read the item description to find a link to the free download.

@mangia,

That is because they cannot include them due to copyright permissions, check the readme on the main page, the link to download the images is in there.

Thanks for helping out :)

Hi there, Just bought, Nice work! I’m new to this and need help. I don’t know how to set up user name and password, right now it just go right in to index, there no authorize user name and password. How can I set those up? Thanks TK

This is only a template made out of HTML , CSS and Javascript. You’ll have to integrate it with a CMS to make it work like you want it to.

Hi,

I noticed that there is a small problem in form appearance when i use tiny_mce for textareas. The replaced content takes 100% widht.

Any advice?

ponjoh

Hello there,

Since Tiny MCE is not included in the template and I have no experience with it, I don’t know a sure solution. Try exploring the page with Firebug to locate the CSS causing that.

Thanks for purchasing!

Is this made for use with Wordpress? Sorry, I’m a newbie. It looks great though!

ponjoh

No, it’s just a regular HTML template.

I just purchased this template—very nice. Question for you…in your sample index.html, when you select the first menu item it correctly fires the href to google.com (shown below):

  • Dashboard
  • But when attempting to select the next menu item (changed to yahoo.com), the href event doesn’t to fire and launch yahoo.com.

    Gdtoa,

    Make sure you did not change nav-top-item no-submenu class on tag. If you change this tag to nav-top-item, href will not work.

    Just spent 3 hours figuring this out. Did not see the no-submenu next to nav-top-item.

    I also want to know how to add current to the class of the selected menu item.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    ponjoh

    Thanks for helping out :)

    What do you mean? Just add the class “current” to any menu item in the navigation.

    I wanted to have my menu section to be shared across all pages. (I am using the master page concept provided by asp.net MVC ) Hence, I can’t hardcode “current” for each submenu.

    So i modified the following code on jquery.configuration.js file -

    $("#main-nav li ul").hide(); // Hide all sub menus
    $("#main-nav li ul li a.current").parent().parent().parent().find("a.nav-top-item").addClass('current');//-ADDED
    $("#main-nav li a.current").parent().find("ul").slideToggle("slow");
    $("#main-nav li a.nav-top-item").click( // When a top menu item is clicked...
        function() {
            $(this).parent().siblings().find("a").removeClass('current'); // Remove "current" class from all tabs -ADDED
            $(this).addClass('current');//-ADDED 04/03/2010
            $(this).parent().siblings().find("ul").slideUp("normal"); // Slide up all sub menus except the one clicked
            $(this).next().slideToggle("normal"); // Slide down the clicked sub menu
            return false;
        }
    );
    ponjoh

    Oh, all right. I’m glad you solved it :)

    Hi I’m finding it cumbersome to click twice constantly to get to certain pages – the menu item & then the sub page.

    Is there a way to enable the sections under the side menu to be open or closed – for example, how wordpress admin works.

    Thanks

    ponjoh

    Replace line 5 simpla.jquery.configuration.js with

    $("#main-nav li ul:not('.open')").hide(); // Hide all sub menus except those with class "open"

    then remove line 10 in the same file. Now, just add the class “open” to the submenu ul that you want to be open.

    And I want to know – does it work when I replace jQuery 1.3.2 to 1.4.2 ? I think that You doesn’t use any “magic” things and this should be compatible, but it’s worth to ask.

    ponjoh

    Yes, it is compatible with jQuery 1.4.2.

    Hi,i just purchased this skin a few days ago and really like it so far. Now i have a problem where i would like to know if you have any ideas how to solve it. I tried to use Lightbox2 with your skin to present some images. I have a content-box with content tabs (#id etc) on that page.Now what happens is that once i include the prototype.js from Lightbox2 into the template, all content from the content-tabs is shown at once, regardless wich tab is active. Since i know 0 js im stuck right now.Is there a known issue with Lightbox2 ? Any ideas are welcome.

    ponjoh

    I think the Prototype framework collides with jQuery, which is the framework Simpla Admin is using. Try using the Lightbox jQuery plugin instead of the original Lightbox.

    Thanks

    ponjoh

    Try using CSS !important. Like this: background-image: url('image.gif') !important;

    Hi,

    thanks for awesome theme. I’m integrating it with Rails app but unfortunately jRails (jquery for rails) seems to mess up some things like menu accordion. Maybe do you know how to workaround this?

    ponjoh

    I don’t know anything about jRails. so I can’t help you. I’m sorry.

    I seem to be getting an error due to this one line: $(‘tbody tr:even’).addClass(“alt-row”);

    Does anyone know a work around or do I just need to have the system I’m building only put that in if a table is being used…

    Thanks.

    I was able to fix this by using this: $(‘tbody tr:nth-child(odd)’).addClass(“alt-row”);

    instead of: $(‘tbody tr:even’).addClass(“alt-row”);

    It now validates and works exactly the same.

    ponjoh

    Is it not valid javascript? Or what do you mean with validate? I haven’t encountered any validation errors.

    Beautiful template!

    I have a question…

    I’m don’t have a deep knowledge of jQuery, so please excuse me if this is simple.

    My application is not using any submenus. Each of the tabs needs to go to a different page and have a select state (aka add the current class). The problem is that when the window.href is called the page “loses” the currently selected tab and resets the selected tab to the first one.

    Here’s my menu:

    <li><a href="/" class="nav-top-item no-submenu current"> <!-- Add the class "no-submenu" to menu items with no sub menu --> Dashboard </a></li> <li><a href="/build" class="nav-top-item no-submenu"> <!-- Add the class "current" to current menu item --> Builds</a> </li> <li><a href="/address" class="nav-top-item no-submenu"> <!-- Add the class "current" to current menu item --> Addresses</a> </li> <li><a href="/datacenter" class="nav-top-item no-submenu"> <!-- Add the class "current" to current menu item --> Data Centers</a> </li> <li><a href="/os" class="nav-top-item no-submenu"> <!-- Add the class "current" to current menu item --> Operating Systems</a> </li> <li><a href="/domain" class="nav-top-item no-submenu"> <!-- Add the class "current" to current menu item --> Domains</a> </li>

    I have not mod’d the Simpla js file at all.

    Thanks for the help!

    Steve

    ponjoh

    Hmm. It should work fine with the no-submenu class. Record a short video of the problem on http://screenr.com/ and post it here and I’ll have a look :)

    Hey man, just bought this theme, really cool.

    Is the general idea just to hook this up to a sql database using php for the functions and that sort of thing??

    I haven’t really done this stuff before so I thought I’d buy this theme and throw myself in the deep end and start learning.

    Any pointers on how to hook this up to a back-end (or the other options that are out there, i.e. a cms that it can integrate with) would be much appreciated.

    Thanks again,

    Matt

    ponjoh

    Yeah, you hook it up with your functions so that it connects with your database.

    I’m not a programmer myself so I don’t really know how to do it :P But I guess it works pretty much like Wordpress templating. You just integrate the HTML with the PHP . There’s no specific CMS required.

    Thanks for purchasing!
