Very Nice!!
Ooo, I like this one – nice & slick!
Is there a way to use another Wordpress theme normally, but this mobile theme only when viewed on a mobile device?
I would also like to know if you can detect that the visitor is using a mobile device and display this theme
I three (also) am interested in utilizing this theme in conjunction with another themeforest theme; wherein the site can detect that the visitor is on a mobile device and route them to this theme rather than the other main theme for general web visitors. Any information is greatly appreciated and I love this theme and am ready to purchase!
thanks for your help!
Sitebase got a script on codecanyon for this @macnamee, themergency and charleslittle. With it your site detects if someone use a pc or a mobile device, so you get differente sites to see.
Btw. very nice theme Kubasto, but your homepage is a little bit too crazy for me
elegance!

+2 more@mcnamee, @themergency, @charleslittle: Yes, you can detect if user is using a mobile device and then present accurate theme.
As it can’t be done from the theme itself, I recommend WordPress Mobile Pack plugin.
Cheers.
Not working for me “call to undefined function “body_class” in header.php on line 24.”
This is the problem:
Remove the words “TAG” – there to make the line visible.
Unfortunately it’s unusable until we can figure out a fix. Apparently it sets the style for the body of the page based upon the page you are viewing, e.g. home page, single post page.
ANSWER : I am using 2.7.x since Wordpress MU refused to update properly for me no matter how hard I tried. This theme will NOT work below 2.8, as specified.
You are correct, this theme needs at least WP 2 .8.x.
body_class() is one of the functions used in Simple Mobile theme which needs WP 2 .8.x.
kubasto – thanks for the quick reply. I upgraded to 3.0 and the default dark theme works beautifully. But when I try to use the white-blue theme using the switcher, it seems to have broken all the images.
SOLUTION : You have to copy all the images files in the images directory into the schemes/youchoose/images/ directory if you make changes. This is what worked for me.
The dropdown for navigation also doesn’t work – and that’s in any desktop browser too:
http://www.boldplan.com/s/tiny/aDLGK5
There is a link. You should have the mobile autodetect there and, if you see the desktop version, the “switch to mobile theme” is on the bottom at the moment.
Yes – I mean the theme’s switcher. I also don’t see a config file to choose a theme. I wonder if the plugin settings are in the database, which isn’t the way I’d want to do it since every time the theme is accessed, it has to hit the database to check which style it will use. Another pain is that there is no way to access this control panel unless you activate the theme each time – which activates the theme for the web based blog too. I’d prefer to store settings on the server.
Confirmed: The problem is the themes switcher. The default theme works perfectly. If you switch it to blue-white, all the problems start (or any of the others.)
As you’ve already changed the theme on your blog, I can’t check it now.
However, I’ve tested all configurations you’ve mentioned (including theme switcher from WordPress Mobile Pack plugin) on my test sites and can’t see any errors while switching schemes.
Don’t hesitate to ask if you have any problem in the future.
Kubasto – yes, I had to change it since it wasn’t working at all. Perhaps I’ll use the theme on another blog but this one had the redirection errors I mentioned. Are the images folders in the switcher supposed to be blank images? I was getting broken images without putting them in there.
Additionally, the javascript was not working at all. I can only wonder whether there is a plugin conflict with the theme and I will try to install it on a stock site and see if it works on our server.
Thank you for OUTSTANDING and EXTREMELY QUICK replies here at Themeforest. The theme is so useful and nice and your support is so good, I wouldn’t even think of not keeping the theme since I know we’ll find the solution. Thanks again.

+2 moreCould you send me an URL of your blog, please?
And what kind of switcher do you mean? The regular one in theme’s option panel?
FYI , something wonky in the preview.
Images for buttons (button.png) and background (bg.gif) are blown apart and floating over top Navigate menu and Search field, and the previous/next page menu near bottom.
Using FF 3 .0.19
Thanks, I’ve noticed this error in early versions of Firefox and I’m working on it. Update should be soon.
Anyway, Firefox 3.5+ is fine.
hmm 3.0 compatibilty… nice..

+2 moreThere is a new version ready to download.
Change log:
Hi thank!
I first want to thank you for a beautiful template.
I have installed it and activated my tweeter to show on everypage but it does not show at al. What could be the problem?
Please help me!
My site is this:
http://www.dawahteknik.se/
Hi, thanks for the kind word
Make sure you’ve put your username only to the twitter settings – not the link.
Hi Kubasto,
Thanks for the quick answer. I just put the username, not the whole link from the begning. Still not working. I am using php5, could that be the problem?
PHP5 is fine.
I’ve also tested your tweeter account on my site, and it works ok, so I don’t know what could be the problem.
What Twitter update interval did you set in the theme settings?
Try to click “save settings” one more time – it will refresh the twitter’s buffer.
I triend saving,
number of tweets are set on 2
Interval is on 5.
Still not working
I suggest you to chceck if your hosting provider doesn’t block getting data from outer server.
This theme is using file_get_contents() function which does that.
You are right the host has disabled the function. Is there a way around it? Could have an aditional feature for us with host that has closed this function?
Thank you for all your help!
I’ll think about adding another method.
This one is faster and prevents from exceeding Twitter’s limit, but if your provider makes it unusable it doesn’t matter unfortunately.
I’ll inform you about new version when it comes.
I am looking forward to the new update. Thank you for trying.
I sent them your question. As soon as i get a reply i will write it here.
“Navigate” doesnt work when you look at the demo trough blackberry. can this be fixed? if yes ill buy a few.
Make sure you have JavaScript enabled in BlackBerry’s browser settings (by default it’s on).
I’ve chceckd on 2 different BlackBerrys and both worked fine.
Cheers.
I want to translate your template into swedish, how do i do it? What are the steps?
For translations I recommend Poedit tool. It will automaticly find all terms used in the theme and ask you for translations of them. Save created by Poedit file (named “sv_SE.po”) in themes/simplemobile/languages folder.
If you need more details, there is a nice instruction: http://codex.wordpress.org/User:Skippy/Creating_POT_Files
It seems a little harsh, but belive me – this is the proper way.
