This may be a very dumb question, but how do I actually customize these email templates? Is this some kind of web app that lets me customize the email and then it exports the HTML ? Or is it HTML that I plug into my email marketing site’s WYSIWYG editor and then I make the customization there? I’m really pretty good with all other kinds of templates, but I’ve never purchased an email template before. Thanks for your help!
Hi there,
To edit the HTML files you will need, at the very least, a text editor that can handle HTML code. If you’re using a PC try this: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/
If you’re on a Mac then you could try Coda, or Dreamweaver if you want to pay for a premium product.
There are MailChimp templates included which you can upload to MailChimp and edit them within the MailChimp system without the need for any coding knowledge.

I’m wary of buying a template because I know there are rendering issues when email templates use CSS . However your description says it’s “bulletproof html” and you tested it with litmus. Does the file use background images that would be blocked by email clients? what about fonts – are there any unusual fonts that i would need to change?

Unlike some other email templates on ThemeForest, Simple News Pro purposely does not have any backgrounds images – for the exact reason you point out. Several popular email clients block background images, therefore your email wouldn’t look exactly how it was designed.
The font used is Helvetica; that falls back to Arial which is a similar web-safe font. No non-web standard fonts are used in the design other than the Simple News Pro logo which is an image – this would be changed once used anyway.

Hi! I have a problem, does not work on mail service like inbox.lv, gmail and all the text information is aligned to the middle when mail is arrived. I can not see graphics, only blank spaces for pictures. Outlook all works, not work in webmail services. What could be the problem?

Would it be possible for you to send me a screen shot of how the email looks in your inbox and I will be able to solve the issue for you. If you send it to info@designsheffield.co.uk – I’ll get to it straight away.
The blank space issue could be due to you not allowing images to be viewed automatically within your email client. You should be able to change this in your settings/preferences. This differs between all email browsers, feel free to send a screen shot of this too and I can confirm this for you.

I have tried importing the template into Mailchimp but images are missing after importing. I had added the images to library online but I cannot replace the images with the missing ones.
