I have created the menu for my site but for some reason the subtitles for each menu link are not showing up as they do on your preview. I have gone to Appearance>Menu and added a title attribute to each one but the attributes do not show. Any ideas?
In Appearance > Menu, on top right you’ll see “Screen Options”, click that and check the “Description” checkbox.
Now if you go to edit the menu items you added you’ll see a “description” field, enter the “subtitle” there.

I’d like to purchase this theme, but want to ask a quick question about the front slider options…Is it possible to disable that vertical loading bar at left-hand side that fills for the duration of the slide? Just personal taste, but it’s a really distracting animation for a minimal design. Thanks for the response!
Yes, the “loading bar” is optional, you have an option to show or not to show it when creating a slider.
Also, anytime I create a portfolio post, I cannot view it. It gives me a 404 error.
Also, light box does not work unless there are 2 images added under “portfolio media.”

I’m really beyond frustrated with this theme and it’s unfortunate because we like the way it looks. I’ve now uploaded the most recent version of your theme and am using the funkify child theme.
I’m having all sorts of issues, here’s the most important 2:
1. posts don’t even show up on the homepage (I’m using the correct setting, hompage shows recent posts not static page) 2. when I make changes to the theme using the theme options, some take, other’s do not?! Do I really need to make edits to the child theme’s stylesheet?
Those aren’t correct settings, it’s the other way around.
As it says on the “default homepage” after you install the theme, you need to set a “static page” to be the front page and leave the “Posts page” unselected (leave it at – Select -).
And in that “static page” choose the “Blog” page template if you want the blog to be homepage, choose the “Portfolio” page template if you want to show portfolio posts in there or keep the “default” page template and use the Content Composer to make your homepage whatever you want it to be.

I don’t know what is happening, but since I updated the theme it seems to have problems with the “composer page editor” – just doesn’t work.
I would deeply appreciate answers about that… if it is a bug or anything is conflicting…

Is there a way to easily get rid of ‘Portfolio’ and ‘Testimonials’ in the wordpress admin menu? We will not be using these and will be confusing for the site’s admins.

Hello. The theme keeps resetting all of my pages to “Content + Sidebar”, which is my default. I did not update the settings page, this happened when I updated a widget.. all 25 of my pages reset from “Content Only” to “Content + Sidebar”. This has happened twice now and is extremely frustrating and time consuming.
Do you have a fix??
Feature request: Let us choose a default for both Pages and Posts. My pages need Content Only, my posts Content + Sidebar. I set the default to Content + Sidebar because many more posts will be made than pages. Thank you.
That never happened before. All the themes use the same framework so that’s around 3500 customers.

WordPress 3.5 is released. We’re doing last checks on the updates for all the themes. They’ll be available for download tomorrow.
So, hold a bit with the WP update.
Also, before updating please make sure the plugins you’re using are compatible with 3.5
In case you already updated WordPress and have issues with the theme send over an email via the contact form on our profile page and we’ll send you over the new version.

There is a new version available. One of the fixes is for an issue with WordPress 3.5 and prepare function.
Download the theme again and install the new version.
Just updated your theme to v1.0.3. None of the child themes will work. Tried to upload a new child theme from the update, and it didn’t work either. Says the parent theme “skinizer” is missing. Please help. I’d like to use the tilt theme.
Just rename the skinizer folder name from “skinizer-v1.0.3” to “skinizer” and it’ll work fine.

Couldn’t find such a small icon for instagram so made one myself. Hope it’s good enough.
I just downloaded and installed new version (.3) and the child themes do not work with it – they say there is no parent installed. I tried to install an older version of the parent theme but I get a header error. Please advise on how to fix this issue. thank you!

The theme has a version name in the folder so it can be installed like a separate theme, so if any issues come up you can quickly switch back to the old version.
But the child themes linking to “skinizer” folder slipped my mind. But i guess it’s not a big problem. No need to update the child themes with just that change, people probably have their own modifications in there so it’s much less work to just change the folder name.
Wouldn’t recommend. Too buggy and fiddly. Also too confusing and technical to expect a client to use once setup. Is promising though, if it is refined in future.

Glad you like it. Well we might include it but can’t promise anything. You can give a plugin a try.
Take a look at Background Manager and Background Per Page.
I am a little disappointing with this purchase. The visual composer is very lackluster, sorry to say. Doesn’t even have a WYSIWIG text box, let alone tabs, accordions or toggles, no buttons ect.
It also took me a while to find the theme customization in the theme panel. Makes no sense to break up the them settings that way.
It’s Content Composer, not visual composer, that’s a different thing.
There isn’t a WYSIWYG, out of about 3400 customers only about 5 asked about WYSIWYG so we never got to implementing one.
About tabs, accordion, buttons… All of those are in the theme and you can find them in the documentation under “Shortcodes”.
Unfortunately, that distinction wasn’t clear to me. I would have much rather have all the shortcode as part of the content composer or at least include an insert menu. That is just my feedback. Take it or leave it. But I do buy a lot of themes and have been using WordPress since 2.8. One other issue that I kept stumbling on was having to save the content twice, I kept forgetting to save the content composer window, then hitting update and lost my changes. I did that about 20 times. I suggest having the content composer save any open blocks when the page is updated. I am sure there is a hook you could use for that. Sorry for such negative feedback, I can appreciate how much work has been put into your themes and I am sure they will be more polished in future updates. The WYSIWIG would be a big help. Just adding an image becomes a chore without it. For me it would be a no-brainer.
We always love to hear feedback from customers. Negative feedback is more valuable to us since it gives us an idea on how to improve.
But, Content Composer was built to make the hard things easier to do. In our opinion buttons, accordions… are all simple shortcodes and won’t really matter if you write it yourself or click a bunch of times and get the same output as you would if you wrote it. When you know the shortcode names ([button], [accordion], [tabs]...) and attributes (color, title…) it’s faster then using a shortcode generator.
About the saving, i must admit i had that issue as well back when i developed the content composer, but after a while it became second nature to hit save on the content composer changes and then save the post/page. I do agree with your suggestion: When the user clicks the “Update” button (post/page) and there is an open (unsaved) content composer module it will automatically save it. We will include that in the next update of the themes, but that change alone is not enough for a new update, so it’ll have to wait until a few more things are in the update.
About the WYSIWYG editor, we will see what we can do about that, but we did try implementing the WP WYSIWYG editor in there and had no luck with it, since it has to be loaded on page load or something like that, was a while ago.
