Having just purchased the theme, I’ve noticed that the 3/4 Column and 1/2 Column of the layout does not work as one would expect it to in the ‘iPad’ screen size. The 1/2 Column sits below the 3/4 Column, not beside it (like in the ‘desktop’ screen size), as one would expect. Could you help with fixing this? Cheers.

Hi, You’re uploading the entire zip file you downloaded from ThemeForest. You need to unzip the file you downloaded and only upload the Slate-UploadToWP.zip file.

Hi Sam, You can simply delete your Blog page from the Pages section and it will disappear from the menu as well.

Is there a fix to make all images retina-ready across the board? This theme seems not to do so, unless I’m missing something. If not, do you offer an update which is optimised for retina, similar to your recent themes? Many thanks for your great work, Mike.

Can you tell me how the portfolio page load all posts! http://bureauomtrent.nl/projectenThe first post is not loaded, that you can see on the homepage. It probably has to do with the full portfolio picture at the top, I removed it.

Hi Zneeze, Unfortunately we don’t support coustomizations. There is some code that is dependent on the image you removed. So you’ll have to sort that out yourself if you want to keep that customization.

On my website davidhoos.com, all the blog posts excerpts & thumbnails vary in height and look sloppy as a result. The heights are all aligned on the demo. Is there a way to fix this so my posts are uniform?

Hi, Im installing and customizing your theme (by the way, quite nice and easy to work with!).
Im trying to make a custom home page, not using your homepage template.
The things is that I would like to re-use the slider at home and the portfolio extract. The rest of the page will be colums made by the common editor at wordpress.
Im copy-pasting some code from your home.php template into a customhome.php template. Slider section and portfolio section. Two things are not working: - the sliders shows all the slides in the page. Is not working the same way as in your template, but it currently is the same code - all the rest of the content I insert from the common wordpress editor is not appearing.

Its odd, maybe there’s a line im missing when copy-pasting, or the functions just work with your home.php template, but I cant find the answer.

I’m neglecting help with your customizations, yes. We provide free support to theme buyers, which includes helping them get the theme up and running and support for any bugs that pop up along the way.
If I help you with this customization, then other buyers will want customizations. Also, when you decide you no longer want that customization, or if it starts breaking your theme, you’ll come back to us for help fixing it. It opens the door to endless customizations. It also creates double the work for us, and we aren’t compensated for it with a $40 theme sale.
Good luck with your customizations. If it’s as easy as you say it is, it shouldn’t be a hassle to put together!

I dont want to customize anything, just add more data in the homepage at the bottom part, after the testimonials. Using the common wordpress text editor.
I add content, text, shortcodes, photos… but nothing appears at the bottom of the page. Why is that? Thanks in advance.

Hi there, The homepage template doesn’t actually output a
<?php the_content(); ?>tag because it brings in elements from different places. You could add a content tag within the loop and it would output your page content.Mike

There is no accordion shortcode.

does this theme come with an admin area for easy customization ? (change fonts etc.)
Slate has some customization options but not many. You can’t change fonts, but you can set link color, background and logo.

Hey Mike. We have bought the theme from your, but not with my account so i´m not listed as purchased. Only for your information.
Now my question. We don´t want the slide of the portfolios on the home page and in the portfolio section. For the home page we need only 6 parts and for the portfolio page also 6. If there come more, we would set the new number into the code. But how could we deactivate the slide function for this element?

Hey mike, thanks for your answer. We just updated the theme to the newest version and that fixed our problem. But sadly there is now a new problem. But i added this request into the support forum so i hope that you guy´s can help me with this little last problem.

Do you know why the place toAdd a Name of subtitle and a Value don’t appear on my wordpress? I have re-installed the theme and the wordpress two times and the same problem appear.

Hi Suzanne, You’d have to modify the theme a bit to make that happen unfortunately. I’ve seen users do it, but we don’t have a feature in place to do it by default.
