Can I remove categories from the slider in the front page?

Hey,

Assuming you’re referring to the category labels, you will need a CSS modification for it. There’s one available here (requires logging in to the support forums).

For further support, please create a topic at our Support Forums.

Cheers.

This theme is not compatible with many popular plugins and will just show a white screen if any of the following are activated:

Askimet Yoast SEO OptinMonster Twitter Cards And about 8 others I have tried so far while debugging this.

In support forums I was told to use other plugins, but I mean cummon, no askimet, yoast etc? That’s unreasonable.

I will update my ticket on the support forum. Losing yoast isn’t a big deal because I could just use another, but now it’s turned out that I can’t get like 60% of plugins to work. If you say it is working on other than perhaps it is some setting on my VPS, I just havn’t had this problem with other themes but maybe I am incorrect in blaming the theme. Will allow the staff to research further and will amend my review in the interim.

Sure, and Yoast SEO itself should work too. In the last reply to your topic, additional access info was requested. Once the info is available, our team will troubleshoot it for you.

Thanks.

Hi, wonderful theme! I was wondering if it’s possible to create a footer like the nytimes.com footer: http://www.nytimes.com/ Thank you.

Hi,

The exact style won’t be possible by default since we don’t have a light footer. Similarly, the last column in your example would require adding some HTML in a Text widget.

If all you need is the links in that format (heading + links that follow), sure that’s possible and it’s quite easy. For example, you can choose 5 columns for your footer and add 5 Custom Menu widgets.

Horror! Using the Page Builder over the past 6 months I have created an amazing member page (for medicaidfinance.com.au) with at least 85different widgets from Rich Text Visual Editor, with Highlights Blocks, Listing Blocks, Gallery Carousel basically used most of the widgets available within the Page Builder. In total I used around 80+ of such widgets.

It was a massive members page which I have also created with the plug in of User Pro and Private Messaging.

What happened this morning when I logged in to do additional work to this members page I found that all the widgets that I used with the Page Editor within the members page has disappeared (vanished – gone!!!!!). I do not have a members page anymore!!! I can only see the title on the page and the slider everything else is gone.

This is now the second time that this issue has occurred. The first time was in April 2015 however that was not too bad because I was half way to programming the page …. now I was almost finished and it’s all gone. The last 5 months work all gone.

Is this due to your theme Smart Mag? How can I recall the page builder widgets in its original page format?

All the pages that were linked to the widgets are all in place they did not ‘’disappear’’ – This is a very serious matter.

Is this due to your theme or the wordpress theme – there must be an underlining major issue here that must be resolved because this will happen again in the future.

Please provide some feedback.

Thanks

Hi,

That does seem like a lot of work. But widgets should never get lost on their own. The only way for them to disappear is if there was a data loss on the MySQL end or they could have been lost while edidting/saving the page (this would indicate a memory limit issue).

Grab the latest error logs from your webhost and create a topic at our support forums. Please provide the same details there. The troubleshooting process will be complicated because you rely on 3rd party plugins too so it will take a while.

Cheers.

Hi,

I am using Polylang for multiple languages. I find that the slider cannot find the featured posts in other language. How can I fix it? Thank you.

Hey,

Unfortunately, we haven’t tested Polylang as a fully compatible plugin. We support WPML instead. But you can create a topic at our Support Forums and we’ll have a look.

Cheers.

Hi there, I was wondering if it was possible to use a icon next to navigation link. Such as using the Home icon from Font-awesome next to our Home button?

Hey,

It should be possible for FontAwesome icons but it will require the HTML code of the icon. Please create a topic at our Support Forums so that our team can guide you with the code to use.

Cheers.

Enjoying working with this new theme. However I have a couple questions. First of all, is there a way to move the right sidebar up on my homepage so that it’s to the right of the featured post slider? That is how our site was site up with the old theme. Right now there’s the featured post slider and then blank space to the slider’s right. Also I noticed after working with the theme for a few days now, all of our video embedded code from youtube disappeared from all our video only posts. Same thing happened with our audio posts. The embedded code we had is now all gone. Why did this happen and is there a way to get the code back?

Hey,

By default, the sidebar can’t be moved up there without customization. But the right side of the slider area shouldn’t be blank – it should be like it’s in the demo – explained here.

As for the video or audio embeds not working, that would depend on how your old theme embedded them. If it was in the standard WordPress way, they should work just fine. Please get in touch with our support team with your site URL, by creating a topic at our Support Forums.

Cheers.
