@vccmedia Yeah I’m having the same problem with two sites I’ve used this template for. Instead of acting like a slider, all the images are just stacked underneath each other down the page.

Screen Grab http://trentdrake.com/slider-issue.jpg

But I’ve noticed it only seems to be doing it on the Mac versions of Chrome/Firefox. Perhaps something with the way the most recent versions are handling JavaScript. Strange that it would happen to both at about the same time. This leads me to think it may be a Mountain Lion issue.

I’ll try to find some more browser and OS versions to try it on.

I also updated the template from v1.05 to 1.07 and the same issue was there.

Have you solved the problem yet?

Thanks.

In the Theme Options, set Enable lightbox in single project page to No.

Hey, i love the theme, and I’ve created a site here: labs.qar.ma but it doesn’t seem to format correctly in chrome. Can you test this out for me and let me know if i have to go in and edit something?

Smuliii

Yeah I can see what you mean…

Have you tried to deactivate all the plugins and see if that makes any difference? I would also suggest to do a clean WP installation.

Thanks.

Hi there:

It’s been almost a week since I’ve posted a question – is there another place to ask support questions?

My twitter feed is not working anymore! Am I the only one with this problem?

Smuliii

Twitter made some changes to their API which broke it. But this is a known problem and I’ll fix it when I have time for it.

Hi Captain Awesome,

My client’s Twitter feed is also not working. Unfortunately, Smuliii, the author of this template, abandoned all support for it about a month ago, and he shows no signs of ever returning. As such, this theme no longer has any support. I have discovered serious bugs with the slider that will probably never be fixed, so it looks like my client paid good money for a broken theme.

Smuliii

I haven’t abandoned you guys!

Have you solved all the problems yet?

Thanks.

No, there remains at least one problem. My client’s site has two sliders that should autoplay at all times, yet on mouseover, they autoplay one slide and then pause indefinitely. This happens even though the option “Pause autoplay on mouseover” has been disabled for both sliders. Your assistance in resolving this problem would be appreciated. I can send you the links privately if that is helpful.

Smuliii

Can you give me your site URL so I can take a look at it?

Thanks.

My Twitter Feed is also NOT working as well.

If this is not fixed, I think I’m moving to a new WordPress theme by the end of next week.

Can the author contact me direct at steve@thecubelab.co.uk – I have a couple of questions ..

We have a site with this theme but need a change or advice.

We have a portfolio of products with these categories: Doors, Windows,Conservatories (etc, there are more)

When you go to the page, the images are shown correctly, ie all the portfolio ‘posts’ are shown for that category, and you can click on to see the detail on that ‘post’.

But, when you use the ‘next’ and ‘previous’ buttons (which are reversed for some reason) you click through the whole portfolio.

So, when someone looks at posts in, say, the doors section, they would expect to click ‘next’ and see all the ‘doors’ posts. This works fine, but when you reach the end of the doors, you continue onto, say, windows, which is confusing.

Any help appreciated!

Have you solved the problem yet?

Thanks.

I have just found the way to resolve the issue, the reason behind the failure in Twitter Feed fetch is due to an update in Twitter’s GET statuses/user_timeline API service from version v1.0 to v1.1.

Now I will detail my steps to resolve this, which were proven to be effective on my website at http://www.aspireaviation.com:

1.) Go to Appearance -> Editor -> custom-functions.php in your back-end WordPress system. Make sure you find the right file at “custom-functions.php”.

2.) Look for the section of Twitter Feed widget. It should look like this:
/* ---------------------------------------------------------------------- */
/*    Twitter Feed widget
/* ---------------------------------------------------------------------- */

if ( !function_exists('ss_framework_twitter_feed') ) {

    function ss_framework_twitter_feed( $username, $tweet_count, $ignore_replies = true ) {

        // A flag so we know if the feed was successfully parsed
        $tweet_found = false;

        // Get tweets
        $tweets = get_transient('ss_framework_twitter_feed');

        // Show file from cache if still valid
        if ( $tweets === false  ) {

            // Fetch the RSS feed from Twitter
            $rss_feed = wp_remote_get("http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/$username.rss");

            // Parse the RSS feed to an XML object
            $rss_feed = @simplexml_load_string( $rss_feed['body'] );

            if( !is_wp_error( $rss_feed ) && isset( $rss_feed ) ) {

                // Error check: Make sure there is at least one item
                if( count( $rss_feed->channel->item ) ) {

                    // Open the twitter wrapping element
                    $tweets = '
    ’; $tweets_count = 0; $tweet_found = true; // Iterate over tweets. foreach( $rss_feed->channel->item as $tweet ) { // Twitter feeds begin with the username, “e.g. User name: Blah” // so we need to strip that from the front of our tweet $tweet_desc = substr( $tweet->description, strpos( $tweet->description, ’:’ ) + 2 ); $tweet_desc = htmlspecialchars( $tweet_desc ); $tweet_first_char = substr( $tweet_desc, 0, 1 ); // If we are not gnoring replies, or tweet is not a reply, process it if ( $tweet_first_char != ’@’ || $ignore_replies == false ) { $tweets_count++; // Add hyperlink html tags to any urls, twitter ids or hashtags in the tweet $tweet_desc = preg_replace( ’/(https?:\/\/[\s”<>]+)/’, ‘$1’, $tweet_desc ); $tweet_desc = preg_replace( ’/(|[\n\s])([^\s"\t\n\r<:]*)/is', '$1<a href="http://twitter.com/$2">$2’, $tweet_desc ); $tweet_desc = preg_replace( ’/(|[\n\s])#([\s”\t\n\r<:]*)/is’, ’$1#$2’, $tweet_desc ); // Convert Tweet display time to a UNIX timestamp. Twitter timestamps are in UTC /GMT time $tweet_time = strtotime( $tweet->pubDate ); // Current UNIX timestamp. $current_time = time(); $time_diff = abs( $current_time – $tweet_time ); switch ( $time_diff ) { case ( $time_diff < 60 ): $display_time = $time_diff . __(’ seconds ago’, ‘ss_framework’); break; case ( $time_diff >= 60 && $time_diff < 3600 ): $min = floor( $time_diff/60 ); $display_time = $min . __(’ minute’, ‘ss_framework’); if ( $min > 1 ) $display_time .= __(’s’, ‘ss_framework’); $display_time .= __(’ ago’, ‘ss_framework’); break; case ( $time_diff >= 3600 && $time_diff < 86400 ): $hour = floor( $time_diff/3600 ); $display_time = _(‘about ’, ‘ss_framework’) . $hour . _(’ hour’, ‘ss_framework’); if ( $hour > 1 ) $display_time .= __(’s’, ‘ss_framework’); $display_time .= __(’ ago’, ‘ss_framework’); break; case ( $time_diff >= 86400 && $time_diff < 604800 ): $day = floor( $time_diff/86400 ); $display_time = _(‘about ’, ‘ss_framework’) . $day . _(’ day’, ‘ss_framework’); if ( $day > 1 ) $display_time .= __(’s’, ‘ss_framework’); $display_time .= __(’ ago’, ‘ss_framework’); break; case ( $time_diff >= 604800 && $time_diff < 2592000 ): $week = floor( $time_diff/604800 ); $display_time = _(‘about ’, ‘ss_framework’) . $week . _(’ week’, ‘ss_framework’); if ( $week > 1 ) $display_time .= __(’s’, ‘ss_framework’); $display_time .= __(’ ago’, ‘ss_framework’); break; case ( $time_diff >= 2592000 && $time_diff < 31536000 ): $month = floor( $time_diff/2592000 ); $display_time = _(‘about ’, ‘ss_framework’) . $month . _(’ month’, ‘ss_framework’); if ( $month > 1 ) $display_time .= __(’s’, ‘ss_framework’); $display_time .= __(’ ago’, ‘ss_framework’); break; case ( $time_diff > 31536000 ): $display_time = __(‘more than a year ago’, ‘ss_framework’); break; default: $display_time = date( ‘F d, Y’, $tweet_time ); break; } // Render the tweet $tweets .= “
  • $tweet_desc ($display_time)
  • \n”; } // If we have processed enough tweets, stop if ($tweets_count >= $tweet_count) break; } // Close the twitter wrapping element $tweets .= ‘
<!- end .tweets-feed ->’; // Tweets will be updated every hour set_transient(‘ss_framework_twitter_feed’, $tweets, 60 * 60); } } // In case the RSS feed did not parse or load correctly, show a link to the Twitter account. if ( !$tweet_found ) $tweets = “
  • ” . _(‘Oops, our Twitter feed is unavailable at the moment.’, ‘ss_framework’) . ” – ” . _(‘Follow us on Twitter!’, ‘ss_framework’) . “
<!- end .tweets-feed ->”; } return $tweets; }

}

3.) Look for this section:
// Fetch the RSS feed from Twitter
            $rss_feed = wp_remote_get("http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/$username.rss");

4.) Replace the RSS Twitter fetch URL of “http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/$username.rss” since this fetch URL no longer exists after the API upgrade.

With: https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.rss?screen_name=USERNAME

Be sure to replace USERNAME in the above Twitter feed fetch with your Twitter account username.

e.g. If your Twitter username is “ABCDEFG”, your NEW , WORKING fetch URL is: “https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.rss?screen_name=ABCDEFG”.

5.) It works NOW !

6.) Now to show a proper link when delivering the failure notice, look for the following code in the same custom-functions.php file:

// In case the RSS feed did not parse or load correctly, show a link to the Twitter account.
            if ( !$tweet_found )
                $tweets = "
  • ” . _(‘Oops, our Twitter feed is unavailable at the moment.’, ‘ss_framework’) . ” – ” . _(‘Follow us on Twitter!’, ‘ss_framework’) . “
<!- end .tweets-feed ->”; } return $tweets; }

}

7.) Replace the following code:
<a href="http://twitter.com/$twitter_user_id/" target="_blank">" . __('Follow us on Twitter!', 'ss_framework') . "</a><!-- end .tweets-feed -->";

With:

<a href="http://twitter.com/USERNAME/" target="_blank">" . __('Follow @USERNAME on Twitter!', 'ss_framework') . "</a><!-- end .tweets-feed -->";

Make sure that you replace the USERNAME with your real Twitter username.

8.) ALL DONE !

Cheers! Daniel. :)

Hello! Nice Theme, downloaded it a couple of hours ago – but I can’t seem to choose it as a theme when i’m logged in to wordpress because it tells me it’s “destoyed” ?

I’ve synched all the files using an FTP client, but wordpress tells me the theme is missing stylesheets and a template…

My FTPtrial runs out in two days, so please help me as fast as possible!!! katta-93@live.no

Sorry but I can’t see your buyer badge. So please contact me with the user you’ve bought the theme, or otherwise I can’t give you any support.

Alternatively, you can also give me the purchase code which I can then verify.

Thanks.

Love the theme!

I’ve been doing some pretty heavy-duty css styling, and have been using the Theme Options styling screen to put them there.

BUT …I noticed that basically that puts all the CSS in the head of each page. That seems very slow to me, and bad for SEO . So now that I’m done making edits to the CSS , I’d like to move them from that theme options screen into a css file.

The problem is, I’m worried that if I simply copy/paste all the CSS back into a stylesheet, it will now be conflicting, rather than overriding.

How do I move the css from the theme options, where it is correctly overriding other styles, into a stylesheet and at the same time make sure that the new styling takes precedence over the old?

Thanks!

Smuliii

I think the best way would be to copy all the inline styles from Theme Options and put them to the bottom of the style.css file. That way they should overwrite all the previous styles.

Thanks.

Hello, I am extremely interested in purchasing this theme but I have some doubts. Is it possible to add comments to the articles of the portfolio?

It would obviously require some modifications, but I can’t see any reason why couldn’t do that.

Hello, thank you for a great theme! This is probably an odd question, but I need to remove the responsive part of the theme and I’m not sure what code to modify/remove? The client had us make so many visual changes to the theme, that while it looks fine on a computer, the layout is messed up pretty bad on tablets and mobile phones. They are having us build a separate mobile site anyway, so we would like to remove the responsive code from the theme, but we’re not sure what to remove.

This is the site we’re developing: http://www.tamarackcamps.com

Thank you in advance for your assistance and please let me know if you need anything additional information.

Best, Carl
