SmartStart WP - Responsive HTML5 Theme

Hi there, is it possible to edit changes in this theme using a child theme? The “normal” way (http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes) doesn’t seem to work, it always points to the theme folder, not to the child.

Any idea? Thank you!

@monroe Demo site font is set to “default”, you can change it to any google supported web font under Appearance > Theme Options > Styling > Typography

also, it might be easier to review webfonts via http://www.google.com/webfonts/ then choose it in the theme options.

Quick question. I’ve bought the theme but am getting the following message on the ‘team’ page:

Great theme. I just have one questions. I want to hide the featured image on the single blog posts but still have it appear on the main blog page with the small write up. How do I accomplish this?

I have uploaded the latest version and cleared the sites cache but I’m still being told I’m running 1.07 and not 1.08. Please can you tell me which file I can check manually that lists the theme’s version.

Hello! I had a problem with the footer. Is displays this message: “Warning: Illegal string offset ‘imgurl’ in /homepages/24/d451023962/htdocs/paulaarbos.com/wp-content/themes/spacing/footer.php on line 53”.

Do you know the problem? I tried to replace the footer file with the original one I downloaded from themeforest, but… doesn’t fix at all… Any suggestions?

The new update to 1.0.8 has broken the contact! People can send email, but the email received does not contain the name or email address. Actually it misses EVERYTHING. The only thing received is what people type in the “Your Message (required)” field.

UPDATE: Oops Sorry peoples! My bad, found out person was using a plugin!

Like robdelete I updated the theme on a clients site (they bought it) and it still says update to the latest version – quick fix?

This theme is great. But it has many bugs, and the worst is no body cares give support. I got my site with many bugs in slogan, footer, twitter, fonts. But the author doesn’t provide any kind of support. Bad investment for my. I like people who really provide support for their stuff.
