To attach image as main image in Portfolio detailed view follow these steps:

1. Click Add Media button
2. Select Upload Files tab
3. Click Select Files button and choose image file you want to add into your post.
4. After image is uploaded click close (X in top-right corner)
5. Click Update button;

Smasher WordPress Theme has right sidebar in blog layout and bottom sidebar in whole site.

We have not tested scenario when installation directory is renamed. It should work, but currently can’t guarantee this. Why do you need to rename installation directory? We could add this if this is really necessary.

Hello, updates on custom sidebar question. In fact, you can use them without any Theme update:

You can use Custom sidebars plugin to generate custom sidebars, then create widgets inside them via Appearance > Widgets Admin menu. After done that you can assign custom sidebar to any post. There is no need to update theme to achieve this.

Just tested it.

You can assign custom sidebar to bottom widget area for any page, blog post or portfolio item.

You can assign custom sidebar to blog right sidebar for any blog post.
