We have answered you on the support forum. Everything works fine if you read the documentation. The blog and portfolios are not templates, they are category listings. This is also explained quite well in the documentation.

I asked you to please not refer me back to your documentation because it was not making sense to me, and your full reply to me on the support forum was actually a bit insulting, not sure I understand why??

I know that the blog and portfolios are not templates, but there is NO TEMPLATE PAGE to select for the BLOG OR PORTFOLIO 2…so how does one create a link to the blog from the menu??? What “PAGE” is the for the blog?? Every Page has a template attached to it, does it not? So that it knows how to display? That is what I’m talking about here, and I imported your XML dummy data and nothing but one “Sample Page” showed up, so there are no example, nothing to go by nothing to use for reference.

I see your replies on the forum now…thank you for your help. I understand now how you are not using templates for displaying the blog, but instead are adding the categories directly to the menu. This is very different from what I’m used to, but it works. Thank you and I will continue to work with you on the forum.

I greatly appreciate the help, please tell me what you find because honestly I don’t understand this. When I create the galleries, I make sure that I select “Link to Media” for each photo. Other than creating the gallery and setting what the image should link to, what other option is there for configuration? and how could my images not be in the correct location? I’m uploading them via the media uploader?

It works now. The settings were correct, but somehow the galleries were linking to attachment page instead of link to media.

We have switched the galleries settings to link to attachment page then again switch them back to link to media and everything works now. I don’t know at the moment what is the cause of this but for now it’s fixed.

We only used windows fonts.

The header titles h1-h5 and body font is Georgia. H6 and certain elements such as blog post information(posted on, read more button) are using Arial.

We didn’t use any custom fonts in this theme.

thank you. another question- i want the slider post to be without sidebar. where do i change that? the sliders do not have an option of page attribute. thank you.

The file you need to edit is either single-slider1.php or single-slider2.php, depending on what slider type you are using. Please come to our support forum ( http://goldenworks.eu/support/ ) for exact instructions about how to remove the sidebar from these files.

1. Yes the gallery has a small issue in ie8 that we will try to address in the near future. While you see in any internet explorer this problem, this can be easily addressed by changing the theme’s default browser mode to ie9(the browser mode is set in theme’s header but can be very easily changed so that the gallery will display fine in ie9-ie10 until we fix it for ie8).

2. Gallery filtering is done only via a jQuery effect which means that all the images from all category listings will still be available via lightbox arrows. This can be easily changed so that once you click on an image gallery, only the bigger version of that image will be available and no navigation arrows present at all in the lightbox.

3. There are 2 homepage templates that contain the slider(since there are 2 slider types, each of the 2 templates has it’s own slider). So the answer is no, the slider can’t be displayed on other pages but you have the flexibility of adding content to a homepage template: you can insert any theme elements in a homepage content and also galleries such as this one – http://localhost/wordpress_sm/?portfolio_1=a-romantic-coffee . And there is one more notable feature – you can display the whole blog section inside any of the 2 homepage templates, so you can basically have a blog page with slider if needed.
