Hi there, I bought this theme a week ago, working on my new website and so far I’m glad I found it, thanks for the good job.
- The dropdown menu is not very stable. When the mouse go over the menu and when you try to reach a sub-menu it happens that the whole dropdown menu is disappearing. There is a way to improve it ?
Thanks
Hi,
Sorry but we couldn’t understand the issue. Can you please record a screencast using screenr.com?
Thanks for the quick answer.
Video here: http://www.screenr.com/ABU7
Can you please select bigger line height values (15-17px) for the menu and check again?
By the way, I don’t have this problem with your live preview. It’s because I setup the size of the fonts to small maybe ?
Yep, exactly. Whatever the font size is, if line height is less than 17px I get the bug. At least I can keep small font size like that. Thank you.
hello,
i have to say the more i use this theme, the more i just love it! it is amazing how all the photographs on the blog posts all show the same size and look perfect (as long as they are big enough to begin with). also when adding photos/graphics to the sidebar the theme automatically adds a beautiful border around them
i do have a couple of questions:
i uploaded a patterned background and it is showing underneath the header title (which i left alone and just have the name of my blog) and the background also shows over the navigation menu. you can still read the title and the menu links, but it’s not quite so clear. how would i have the background only covering the sides and not the header and menu areas ?
also how would i change the fonts on the sidebar from uppercase to just a normal font with just the first letter capitalized? I tried changing it in the stylesheet and it didn’t like it one bit.
thank you in advance
I figured out how to add just a simple white background to the menu area so the background doesn’t show through and that was: theme options, styling, added in custom css box: .menu { background-color: #FFFFFF; }
so now if i can make the header with a white background I would be happy, if not, I could just upload a separate header unless there is an easier way to do this.
thanks

So SORRY to bother you but i did figure it out, guess i put the cart before the horse as they say.
if anyone else wants to know it’s: go to theme options, styling, added in custom css box: #header { background-color: #FFFFFF; }
**but i still need to figure out how to change the sidebar fonts to normal font with just the first letter uppercase. thank you
your going to kill me because i keep posting, but i figured out how to change the sidebar font to normal, well at least lowercase by adding css to the usual suspect
(although i still haven’t figured out how to make it with the first letter uppercase and the rest lowercase instead of all lowercase.
i will try really hard to restrain myself from posting until i have exhausted all resources, i feel like an idiot
speaking of exhausted, I’m going to get some rest
Hi,
You can change the sidebar titles from uppercase to first letter capital only by using the following code. Please paste it into the Custom CSS field in the theme options panel:
.sidebox .widget-title { text-transform: capitalize; }You seem to have solved all other issues. Don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other issues.
thank you for your reply elemis
I bought this theme. I wanted to create a child theme, so I created a “mbf” directory in themes directory and I added a style.css in it. But when I activated the theme everything crashed. In log I can see the following fatal error: PHP Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ’/nas/wp/www/cluster-1387/anastasia/wp-content/themes/mbf/admin/options-framework.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear’) in /nas/wp/www/cluster-1387/anastasia/wp-content/themes/socialike/functions.php on line 45, referer: http://anastasia.mybeautifulfrance.ru/wp-admin/themes.php
It seems it is looking for mbf/admin/options-framework.php file and of course it doesn’t exist. Could you explain me how to create a child theme of socialike?
Hi,
Can you try copying options.php to the child theme to see if it helps?
hello, i just uploaded the dummy content and now find that the gallery function is not working. in fact it has completely disappeared from the post format box. image, video, standard, quote, link etc are all still there, but gallery is not. it was there earlier before i uploaded the dummy content and i also added some new plug-ins: wootumblog & the social sharing toolkit. could you please tell me how to get the gallery function button back?
thank you
Well I discovered that if I deactivated the WooTumblog plugin that my gallery function button came back. not sure why that is happening. but I uploaded some images to try out the gallery and it seems to be working good, the only thing is that it is showing the thumbnail images below the large images and it would make me very happy if the thumbnail images were not in the post, as it doesn’t look right. anyway to remove the thumbnails please?
Please make sure you don’t click on the insert images button after attaching the images. Only uploading the images is enough. You can remove the gallery from the post editor, then the thumbnails won’t appear.
thank you,
second question, is there a way to not show the comments, etc on a sticky post? i have one on my front page and i don’t want it to show the comments, etc. i disabled comments at the bottom of the post and then it shows “Comments Off” which doesn’t look right. i want the comments to show for all other posts, just not on the sticky post image.
Hi,
Can you please provide your website link so we can take a closer look?
thank you for taking a look!
Hi,
If you can give us permission to your Wordpress admin we can help you on hiding the comments in Sticky posts. You can send the credentials to us via the contact form on our profile page.
Hello, thank you for your reply. I would love to send you my info and have you take a look, but I am not finding the Profile page anywhere to find the contact form (???)
I see a link here at the bottom of this page under Help and Support & then Contact Support that goes here: http://support.envato.com/ Is there where I go to email you? Sorry but I am not understanding
I would hate to send my info someplace where I am not supposed to send it.
Hi,

Does this theme have video embed shortcodes?
Hi,
Thank you for your interest in Socialike. No the theme doesn’t include video embed shortcodes.
Just spotted a bug in IE9.
The vimeo video in the Blog page is shrunk down.
When will this be fixed?
Hi,
Thanks for the heads up. The issue is related to the video used in the demo. (We will change it on the demo soon) Normally videos display properly on all browsers. Please take a look at a client site: http://www.bluebellandgeorge.co.uk/the-life-of-flowers/
Thanks for the prompt reply.
Final question, does this handle YouTube as well as Vimeo?
Yes you can insert any video embed code.
Do you need to link this to the Twitter account, or can you just specify a twitter username?
Hi,
Only adding the username is enough.
Some questions:
1. When I create a new Gallery page I see the following php appear at the top of the page
post_content ) { echo ” ”; the_content(); echo ” ”; } else { } ?>
2. How can I see what images are associated to a gallery page? I have 50 images.
Hi,
1. Can you please give us permission to your wordpress admin so we can take a closer look? You can send the credentials to us via the contact form on our profile page.
2. Gallery page only displays the images that are attached/uploaded to that page.
Hey, any advice on how I can get the author name to show under the posts?
