Hello – nice theme! I wanted to ask a pre-purchase question… I am interested in using the theme for a vacation rental website and wanted to see if you can let me know if there would be any issues I would run into with utilizing the theme for multiple properties? The thought that individual properties could be input as “rooms.” I have seen some of the backend screenshots and it looks possible but wanted to see if you had input on if there would be unanticipated difficulties with that?

A “Room” can be anything, either a standard hotel room, an entire property, or anything else.

Thank you. Currently we don’t have plans on offering rooms from within a property. The plan is to offer a variety of properties similar to a VRBO. Would that be a limitation if we offered multiple properties with some properties that offered individual units?

Yes the availability of any room can be easily checked in the backend.

There isn’t a table for filling in bookings on the backend, but we’ll be adding a calendar view for bookings soon which will help to visualize booking data better.

1.) Ideally the theme is best suited to a single hotel, although it’s possible to add rooms from multiple hotels, but there’s no way to filter rooms from a certain hotel
2.) Yes payments can be made via PayPal or bank transfer
3.) There’s an admin panel where bookings can be managed
4.) There is no hotel search engine

Hello! We just purchased your theme and I had a couple questions. We are using it for 1 property; but we have “cabins” not “rooms” which file can I go to edit this? That way when someone is on our site they don’t see “Room for xxx per night” – we need it to say “Cabin for xxx per night”
Same for pricing options as well. We have a nightly rate with a 2 night minimum. And then there is also a weekly rate. Which file will allow me to edit the verbiage on the website?

We rent ships by day and not by night. When I select 7 days the total price correspond to 6 days.

Bookings are made by the night, so for 1 night you select 2 dates.
E.g. if you wanted to book the night 01/01/2014 you would select 01/01/2014 as the check in and 02/01/2014 as the check out.
I’m afraid currently bookings by the day aren’t possible, I agree it’d be handy though so I’ll certainly consider it for a future update.
Regarding selecting 7 days, as mentioned above a check in / check out spanning 7 days would be equal to 6 nights.

we have booking problem. in a dormitory room, we have 6 single beds. but when we close 3beds, whole booking seats are closed.

The number of beds attribute is purely visual and only indicates how many rooms a unit has.

There is multilanguage functionality in my site. I’ve encountered the issue that all the dates in the Calendar of Booking form are unvailable in all versions except default language version (English).
I will appreciate for help.
Quick Q: When a booking deposit has been paid for, will the calendar change the chosen dates for that particular booking to the unavailable colour? If not will this be implemented in the future?
The dates are automatically made unavailable after a booking is placed before payment is made.
We’ll be adding a “manual booking confirmation” option soon though.

Will the guests will be able to pay deposit via credit card regardless of country?
An earlier comment said that they could pay with a UK credit card. Is this limited to UK or can they pay with any VISA/MC?
We will have a lot of international and especially South American guests, the property is in Colombia the owner and the web designer (myself) are in the US. Are you aware of any potential problems with using this theme to book and accept payments?
Does the hotel owner need any special PayPal account?

3.) PayPal is available is Colombia and the USA so nope there shouldn’t be any problems

Hello, is it possible to set the availability of room for specific date on the calendar? as to block the reservation on the website if we will recive other reservation offline?
Yes you can block the availability of a certain room by going to “Bookings > Add New” in your WP dashboard.
I purchased the Soho Hotel theme and I have several questions.
1) Our prices are based on ‘Single Use Rate’ (price for 1 guest), ‘Room Rate’ (price for more than 1 guest).
However I can only see pricing options as ‘per adult’ and ‘per child’. Is there any possibility to change these options to our needs?
2) I have been previously informed that an option to set a minimum stay night will be added in the next versions. Is it now added? And how shall I download the new version and transfer all my data into the new version?
3) Is it possible to synchronise the calendar with any external calendars or softwares? If it is, could you tell me which calendars and softwares are these?
4) I could not manage to open social media widgets’ link. Is it working? I mean how can I open and activate these?
5) Is there any maximum limit of receiving funds via PayPal?

5.) I think this would depend on which country your in and what kind of PayPal account you have – there’s no limit on the theme’s side though. Best to contact PayPal directly about this
Thank you for your informative responses which has solved many of my questions.
However I think that the pricing still is not fully suitable with our needs. Because our prices are based on both Per Person and Per Room. To give an example;
1 Person fee is £70 per night.
Per Room fee is £90 per night.
So if 1 person books price’ll be £70/night. And if 2, 3, or 4 people books for the same room than price’ll be £90/night.
Also prices are different on weekends and on weekdays, such as;
1 Person fee is £100 per night.
Per Room fee is £120 per night.
Is there any possibility of arranging prices according to these currently? If not is it in you agenda to add these pricing options in the next version, which would be really helpful for us?
Secondly, I was planning to record all the bookings to an external hotel management software or calender (such as Google Calender). And to syncronise the external calender with Soho Hotel theme’s calender as well as online agents’ calender which we advertise such as Booking.com. For future, it would be an adventageous specification for the Soho Hotel theme.
By the way I tried to open a support ticket but somehow I couldn’t.
