Hi,

I have a little problem with the mobile navigation. When I checked it on an older android phone (I tested it on android 2.3 with differents browsers) then you can’t “scroll” the menu. So when I click the menu icon, then the menu shows up but if you have more items for example 10-15 then just only 9(in this phone) appears. This issue is very huge since this version still has a significant 20% market share and on these phones the website is unusable…

I hope we can solve this problem ASAP!

Hi dentiszt,

Thanks for letting me know about this issue.

Although be aware this only actually affects at most 1% of all users. Why? Because 20% of Android users are on 2.3, but only 26% of mobile traffic is on Android, this cuts the value to 5.3%, then remember only around 20% of traffic is mobile based which lowers the figure to at most 1%.

I agree it’d be worth fixing for the very tiny proportion of users it does affect – I think a better fix would be to simply remove the scroll property though, see Avada for an example: http://theme-fusion.com/avada/

Well, I tried that, but the scrolling version looks much better I think.

“then remember only around 20% of traffic is mobile based” As far as I know mobile internet traffic reaches 50% this year.

Maybe you are right and 2.3 users are not that important but would it be hard to implement the linked solution? Is it even possible to do it on a wordpress website?

Regards

quitenicestuff

I’ll look into removing the scroll property and implementing a similar system to Avada.

Not sure where you got 50% figure for mobile users from but it’s nowhere near as high as that if you search around for statistics: http://mashable.com/2013/08/20/mobile-web-traffic/ (I know it’s from last year but I doubt it will have grown to 50% since then).

Hello. I would like to remove the “testimonials” section from the front page of my site. How can I do that? Thank you.

quitenicestuff

Hi ponteferreira,

To do this either use a homepage template which doesn’t contain testimonials (#2 or #3), or if you’re using one of the other homepage templates you can remove them via the code, for help with this please open a support ticket: http://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/

Hello,

I have a few questions.

1. I am just renting one house. Can I change the booking info to say “house” instead of “room”? 2. My “Booking Step 1” page calendar is slightly off and to the right. (See link) http://www.themagicaloasis.com/booking-step-1/ 3. How do you get it to say “welcome” under Home in the main navigation?

Thanks! I love the theme.

quitenicestuff

Hi daswebdesign,

1.) Yes – you can “translate” the text using CodeStyling – we’ve written a fairly detailed translation guide in the documentation here: http://themes.quitenicestuff.com/docs/sohohotelwp

2.) This is a bug being caused by the “Photo Gallery” plugin you’re running

3.) Go to “Appearance > Menus”, click “Screen Options”, tick “Description”, and now when adding a menu item as you normally would you’ll have a “Description” field which you can add the italic subtitle text in

If you have any other questions please open a support ticket: http://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/

Hi, I would like to know before to buy if I can use your theme to rent different vacation houses in different places with a gallery for each house: with individual availability calendar, reservations/booking system and payment options. Is it possible? Thanks a lot for your time! Regards, Leticia

quitenicestuff

Hi Leticia,

Thanks for your interest.

Yes you can use the theme to rent vacations houses, the “Rooms” can be anything, a property, villa, boat, etc.

Hello, Just tried instal and the package could not be installed. I try to upload the .zip I purchased and it replies to me “The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.” what can I do?

I did also contact by email. Thanks

quitenicestuff

Hi tylertibbs,

Thanks for purchasing!

You’re getting this error because you’re uploading the wrong file, unzip the file you downloaded from Themeforest, inside the package you’ll find a “Theme” folder, and inside this a file called “sohohotel.zip” which is the install file.

Hi..

I want to set ‘Block Content’ in ‘Home setting’ at ‘Theme option’ as different language(Chinese, Japanese, Korean as well as English)

How can I apply with WPML?

quitenicestuff

Hi ing4you,

The homepage content is stored in the theme options, to translate theme options please see the following: http://themes.quitenicestuff.com/docs/sohohotelwp/translate-theme-options-wpml.html

Hi,

Great theme! I’m considering this theme for a client. Can the booking/reservation interface be integrated into other reservations systems? Specifically OBM http://www.onlinebookingmanager.com/obm-hotel

Ideally I’d use the existing booking forms, but have the inventory managed by OBM, as it also is our channel service for updating inventory on Expedia, Booking.com, etc.

thanks in advance! Enrique

Default-user

We’re interesting in integrating the QNS booking plugin with a service like TravelClick’s Channel Management or OnlineBookingManager’s Channel Distribution Service. We would like to manage all our reservations & bookings from the WP site, and have that synchronized with the major OTAs (Online Travel Agents) and potentially GDS (Global Distribution System, ie:Pegasus) as well. OBM is the one we’re currently familiar with.

thanks!

quitenicestuff

Hi ergrullon,

Thanks for your interest.

It’s certainly possible to integrate these system but you’d need to do so yourself by customizing the booking plugin – something which would involve quite a bit of PHP coding. You might want to consider Microlancer for this: http://microlancer.com/

Kind regards

My client is already set up and using reservationkey.com. Does this theme offer any way to connect into other reservation softwares? I would really like to purchase and use this theme.

Thank you in advance for your support! – Dave

quitenicestuff

You can view the reservation system on the demo website here: http://themes.quitenicestuff.com/sohohotelwp/

Our customers do not share their URLs with us, although some post them here in the comments when asking a questions (you can page through the old comments to view).

Availability for a room is automatically blocked when someone places a reservation for a certain date range.

Not sure I understand what you mean by checking in a guest – this would be down to your own hotel check in procedures – the theme/plugin just allows guests to check the availability of rooms and book.

Kind regards

D_Leonard

I am familiar with the reservation system up to the point of checkout. I have thoroughly checked out your theme and I really like your theme however most real reservation systems have integrated software/site for the customer reservations to go through which then an employee can then check the customer into their room.

Im even fine with you saying that needs to be a separate software but what I am unsure of up to this point is that you offer no way to export or link in so a management system could actually manage the rooms that your booking plugin books

Are you intending that with every reservation my client needs to manually check the site and then transfer all of the information to their management software?

I apologise for all of the questions but I would really like to use this theme however unless I am missing something I don’t understand how any hotel actually uses this software to handle booking.

Again, thank you for your continued responses. Please show me what the hotel staff would get or actually see to do their job efficiently.

quitenicestuff

So you just want a feature which allows an employee to indicate when and if a guest checks in? The booking system doesn’t have this functionality but it’d be pretty easy for us to add if that’s what you’re after?

Hi, cannot translate the word Search… from the search input box with WPML, is it translatable with WPML?

Hi renxx,

Sorry, this text string isn’t wrapped in translation tags – we’ll add a fix for this in the next update which we’re planning to release within the next couple of days.

Hi Nick Is it in your roadmap to integrate your plugin in the WP Nice Hotel ? That would be interesting, what do you think ?

quitenicestuff

Hi triptop,

We’re still working on developing the booking plugin for Soho Hotel at the moment, so currently no.

If we do integrate the plugin with other hotel themes it’ll most likely be a new one since Nice Hotel is quite old now.

Hi. Great theme. I was looking into purchasing the theme for use with a single rental villa property. Is it possible this can be achieved with your theme.

It looks possible with how the availability calendar works. Just wanted to make sure by asking the developer first.

Regards

Liam

quitenicestuff

Hi Liam,

Thanks for your interest.

Sure the theme can be used for a hotel, villa or anything which is being rented out on a nightly basis.

Kind regards

Afropunk

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.

As the villa is based on weekly rental, rather than nightly. Is this still possible

Regards

Liam

quitenicestuff

You can set a minimum number of nights for a booking, so this could be set to 7 nights – but there’s currently no way to force bookings to be in weekly chunks e.g. 7, 14, 21 nights.

Hi,

I’ve purchased your theme for one of my clients and I love it so far! I do have a couple questions for you:

1) The home page template. Is there any work around to manage the layout of the content section or are we forced to use the 3 column layout that you have set in the theme options?

2) The background image. The hotel writing still shows up when I replace the background image. How do I remove it?

3) Do you do any custom work to your theme?

thanks Darryl

Also, I’m having trouble getting rid of the comments section at the bottom of some of the pages. I’ve turned off all comments in settings but I’m still getting a comment section on some pages. I’m using the default for the pages but some random pages still show comments.

any advise would be appreciated.

Hi Rhipple,

Go to “Pages” in your WP dashboard, hover your mouse over a page title, some options will appear, click “Quick Edit” and untick “Allow Comments”.

Hi, before I buy, I would like to know is it possible to integrate the payment system with other payment system, for example: http://www.molpay.com/v2/

basically, it is an payment using the url hyperlink

and can I take a look how is backend work?

Thanks

quitenicestuff

Hi gsw85,

Thanks for your interest.

Currently only PayPal and bank transfer are available.

In theory it is possible to add another payment gateway yourself but it’d involve a lot of customization work and isn’t something we’d be able to assist you with – if it’s essential for your project maybe consider using Microlancer: http://www.microlancer.com/

Hi!

Seems like a great theme! I’m thinking of maybe using it for a client, but they use a third party booking service. Is it possible to remove the booking bar at the home page?

Cheers, Johan

quitenicestuff

Hi Johan,

Thanks for your interest.

Sure the booking form on the homepage can be toggled on/off in the plugin options.

Hi – very nice theme. Is there a possibility to use the booking plugin integrated in your theme on a different theme? My client wants to use a different template but I am having troubles to find the right booking plugin.

Thanks for your answer.

quitenicestuff

Hi master2907,

Thanks for your interest.

Yes the booking functionality is stored as a separate plugin so it can be used with any theme, although styling is only in place for Soho Hotel so you’d need to provide your own styling if you’re using it with a different theme.

Kind regards

master2907

wonderful, thanks. is it possible to purchase that plugin separately?

quitenicestuff

You’re welcome master2907, I’m afraid the booking plugin is only available package with the theme at the moment.

Hello, I am looking to get your theme about i want to get it for a villa, so there is no need for the rooms. I have been looking throw your theme and some of the words that you have would need changing. Is there any way that this can be done quickly. Do i need the Translate plugin? if so which one?

Thanks

quitenicestuff

Hi weblinedesigns,

Thanks for your interest.

Yes you can easily change any text in the theme using a translation plugin, I recommend CodeStyling: http://wordpress.org/plugins/codestyling-localization/

We’ve written a fairly extensive translation guide for CodeStyling, WPML and PoEdit in the “Translation” section of the documentation here: http://themes.quitenicestuff.com/docs/sohohotelwp

Hi We purchased your theme few days back for one of our client. But our client is using Coho Booking Engine. http://www.cohores.com/

Is that Possible to Integrate Coho Booking Engine in this theme in place QNS Booking system that comes with this theme?

Please advise.

Thanks Vivek

quitenicestuff

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for purchasing!

The booking plugin is stored separately from the theme, so yes you could in theory integrate your own system.

This would involve quite a bit of coding though and isn’t something we’d be able to assist with via support.
