Just a few pre-purchase questions. 1. How noob proof is this theme? Will it be hard to make it look like your demo or can I work from your demo and start changing things in there? 2. Do I already have to have wordpress running on my server? How does this work if I don’t?

1- It is easy to use .. check the documentation here http://themes.tielabs.com/docs/sokar/ .. also theme comes with demo site sample content XML file .. you just need to impoer it on your site and start changing things in there
2- Sokar is a wordpress theme so it requires Wordpress so you can install and use it

Just updated the theme to latest but cannot save any of the settings now as it posts to the root URL but the site im editing is within a folder (presuming that this is the issue)
Does this make sense?

One issue I’m having is that it doesn’t seem to support the shortened YouTube link to embed video. However you can’t even get the long link from YouTube anymore (you have to know how to make it) which is difficult to relay how to make up a link from YouTube to a client that isn’t so tech savvy. Do you plan you make it so you can re-size the video player and to support YouTube’s shortened link?

for now the Sokar supports original Youtube video link like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROipDjNYK4kI will add support the shortened YouTube link in next versions

Hi there. Recent purchaser and am in the middle of setting up a portfolio.
I have set my portfolio to items to open on a new page. However the featured image that is displayed is larger than the image I uploaded.
Where do I set the image size for the featured image within portfolio?

sorry .. also edit panel > portfolios.php and search for'supports' => array('title', 'editor', 'thumbnail' )and replace it with'supports' => array('title', 'editor', 'thumbnail', 'comments' )then edit your portfolio item and check “Allow comments.” from Discussion box

Hi, I seem to be having a problem getting the “Active Filter” color to change via the sokar tie panel. The new color # is there but still shows orange? and also there seems to be am orange drop shadow to my menu text when its on a selected page? Just wonder if this is a problem? Thanks

there is no option to disable it .. you need to remove it manually
remove this line : fromcontent-audio.php , content-gallery.php , content-standard.php , content-video.php
and remove this linefrom includes/post-meta.php

Quick question prior to purchase. When creating a portfolio with this theme, is it able to have a single click bring up say a light box style gallery of an album of pictures that are different than the pictures shown on the main page, instead of the top page comedown?

Sorry, I am not sure I understand you correctly, Did you mean changing thumbnails size ? or changing zoom effect when hover in it ? or what?
No the zoom effect is fine. I was meaning what was how each item is displayed in the portfolio front page. Can I change how much of each picture is shown?
there is no option to change it form dashboard but you can change it by editing getNumColumns function in js/tie-portfolio.php file
Okay, I’ve finally managed to do that, but that function only changes the number of columns in a row depending on window size. It does make each portfolio thumbnail smaller, but it still shows the same amount of image.
How do I alter the thumbnail to look like the 2nd screenshot?
