Do you know of any good e-commerce plugins that work well with your theme?

I haven’t tested any e-commerce plugins with Soundboard yet. I think I will start testing a few sometime soon though…

Anyways… if you are going to use a plugin that is using a shortcode to display the shop, make sure to update to Soundboard version v1.06 first (just uploaded it and will be available in a few hours), since I’ve fixed a bug in the file shortcodes.php in this version.

Actually, I have a few questions:

1) How to make home page display content rather than excerpts?

2) On home page, how can I replace post dates “x days ago” with actual month and dates? (Ex. October 17, 2012)

3) I’m having a little trouble using Google Web fonts. I want to use the Google font Ubuntu (Medium). I can get Ubuntu to work but if I want it to be medium or bold, how do I do this? If I type “Ubuntu Medium” into the field it doesn’t work.

1) In the file template-home.php, line 82 and 90, replace

<?php the_excerpt(); ?>

with

<?php the_content(); ?>

2) In the file template-home.php, line 50, replace

++ <?php echo time_ago(); ?> ++

with

++ <?php echo the_date(); ?> ++

3) Yeah, that won’t work. Simply use Ubuntu and then set the font weight in Theme Options > General > Custom CSS . Add the following code:

h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6,
.button1,
.buttonS,
.cancelled,
.soldout,
span.reply,
.details,
.dropcap,
li.comment cite,
ul.login li a,
.sf-menu a,

1) Ok, once I changed the template-home.php to display the content on the home page, now my manually added <!~~-More~~-> breaks do not work. You see, I want the home page to display the HTML content, but I also want to be able to control the length of what is displayed on the home page posts. Help!

2) Any way to control the text size of the home-page news/post titles?

Hey…

1. try this code instead:

<?php global $more; $more = 0; ?>
<?php the_content(' read more…'); ?>

(you can also change the text “read more…” to something else)

2. In order to change the size of the homepage headlines, put the following code into Theme Options > General > Custom CSS

h1.news-home-title {
    font-size: 20px;
}

(change the font size to whatever you like. If you increase the font size too much, you might have to increase the line hight too ( line-height: 40px; )

The plugin is called WP Simple Paypal Shopping cart (I’m also combining it with NextGen gallery to display thumbnails easier for the items. After updating it definitely fixed this issue! Checked out your site one more time and it looks like this is a plugin I could recommend to other buyers.

A little styling tip: Add the following code to Theme Options > General > Custom CSS , to add a little space below items:

Finished up the site today..I just have one more question. I’m not sure if this is something that I need to configure in wordpress, or something I can do in the theme files. I want the format of my site in browser tabs to be Blog title:page title. Currently its displaying like page title:Blog title, and its a bit confusing. I’ve seen people use the facebook buttons I’ve posted since launch and it shows up as “Merchandise Silver Skull” and clearly it would look better as Silver Skull Merchandise..any help?

What you are describing is not possible with Soundboard out of the box. This would require a good amount of customization work!

Really awesome theme, thank you! When I upload an mp3 and display it with JW Player, underscores get inserted between each word of the track title. I noticed that the example didn’t have any underscores. How do you accomplish this?

I didn’t do anything special, this issue didn’t happen to me when I uploaded the files.. What if you try using the ASCII code for space ( & #32; ) like this:

my& #32;song

(remove the space betwen & and # , I only added it so the code wouldn’t get converted into space here in this comment)

Thanks for the suggestion, red_sun, but now it says my32song. When I leave a space between words, it actually inserts a dash – not an underscore.

Any other ideas?

Solution for this (in case anybody else has the same question):

You simply need to go to Media > Library, click on the uploaded file, then under “Title” you can set the title the way you want it to be displayed in the playlist.

Hey… yeah that is possible. You will have to modify the file js/scripts.js, line 32.

Replace “social_tools: false” with the line at the very bottom of the section “Customization” that starts with “social_tools” on this page:

Hallo Lars! Daran hab ich garnicht gedacht dass Jänner nur in Österreich verwendet wird ich glaub das sollt ich im nächsten update ändern..

Um die deutsche Übersetzung zu ändern müsstest Du das file de_DE.po ändern. Dazu brauchst Du das (kostenlose) Program “PoEdit” ( http://www.poedit.net/ ). Wenn Du die Datei geöffnet hast findest Du auf der linken Seite das englische Original und rechts alle Übersetzungen. Klicke auf Jan/Jän und ändere dann ganz unten die Übersetzung.

Hello guys!

At first Congrats for this awsome Wordpress template!

I bouth “Soundboard” theme and I have to translate to the months of the “Tour Dates” (“Pretty Date” I think) to Portuguese. For exemple: FEB to FEV , DEC to DEZ etc.

The thing is, when I open the file code and change the months at “widget-tourdates.php” (soundboard > includes > widgets), the month just desappears in the website! It seems like it doen’t accept FEV … only FEB .

Can someone help me??? Thanx!

disagree pardon for my bad English. I installed JW player as shown in the “audio”, but when I insert my music and I want to see in “preview” and I click on “play” there is a blank page with the image of the album, I can not understand why.

Jovkovic… no, the JW Player also works local. It’s just hard for me to say what’s wrong if I can’t look at it. Did you follow all the instructions in the documentation on how to add JW Player to the theme? Soundboard does not work with the JW plugin.

You can place the JW Player Shortcode or the Soundcloud Shortcode into the editor of the page that is using the “Home” template. Or, if you want it to be placed in the left or right sidebar, you can also place the Shortcode into a text widget…

Hello guys!
