Hello,

I bought your theme. I couldn’t find the documentation file you mentioned. I would need it for the installation. You said it should be in the zip file here : Documentation/Theme Docs/ but it isn’t. Can you explain me why and tell me the way to download it ? Thank you.

leaftree

Hello dear customer.

If you unzip the file downloaded from ThemeForest it should be in there. Here is the screenshot of it: http://pho.to/4D4nQ then open the index.html file.

Let us know if you found it.

Thanks for your purchase.

Best regards.

Hi, nice theme, i need to increase the size of the custom logo, it doesn’t get larger than 270px, do you have any suggestion?

Default-user

update : i find the way to increase the logo size setting this parameters in style.css

logo {

padding-left: 0px;
padding-right: 0px;
padding-top:25px;
padding-bottom: 25px;
height: 105px;
width:400px;

}

but now the main menu goes under the logo, i can’t find a way to reduce the size of navbar item

how can i set a large width size logo and the main navigation on the same line?

or

how can i set a even bigger logo in the middle of the header, and the main menu navigation under the logo?

p.s. i’m using responsive layout

thank you :)

leaftree

Hello dear customer.

Thank you for your purchase.

About the logo, you don’t need to change the css, so please undo the changes to the logo class, instead you will need to go to the page.tpl.php, page-front.tpl.php and page-contact.tpl.php, and change the “span” classes for the logo and menu regions.

For example you can assign a “span4” to the logo, removing its “span3”, and assign a “span8” to the menu, removing its “span9”. Choose the right spans for your needs.

For more information about the span classes, you can check the bootstrap documentation here: http://getbootstrap.com/2.3.2/scaffolding.html#gridSystem

Let us know if it worked. If you need further assistance on this send us a message through our profile page: http://themeforest.net/user/leaftree#contact

Thanks for a slick looking theme. I purchased SpecialOne a few days ago and installed it on a fresh install of Drupal 7.24 on a subdomain for testing.

Everything went fine (except some minor quirkiness with the Mega Slider settings not popping up every time)—and I got my site looking just like I wanted. However, after 1 day of running it and adding more content it fails to initialize with these errors:

Notice: Undefined index: specialone in drupal_theme_initialize() (line 100 of /home/giddyd2/public_html/devfyssion/includes/theme.inc). Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in _drupal_theme_initialize() (line 146 of /home/giddyd2/public_html/devfyssion/includes/theme.inc). Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in _theme_load_registry() (line 335 of /home/giddyd2/public_html/devfyssion/includes/theme.inc). Notice: Undefined index: specialone in theme_get_setting() (line 1431 of /home/giddyd2/public_html/devfyssion/includes/theme.inc). Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in theme_get_setting() (line 1478 of /home/giddyd2/public_html/devfyssion/includes/theme.inc).

/home/giddyd2/public_html/devfyssion/ is the root directory my subdomain is set to. The site is hosted on Lunarpages.com.

Any ideas why this seems to happen every day or two after a re-install of everything? (I’ve tried a fresh install twice now)

Thanks, Joe

First of all, thanks a lot for your purchase.

We answered your email already. If you could please send us your link to your installation for us to take a closer look would be great.

How would you install the ‘Demo Theme’ onto the Aquia Dev Desktop?

Thanks

leaftree

Hi dear customer.

Thank you for the purchase of SpecialOne.

Unfortunately we never used Aquia Dev Desktop, although the installation must be similar as doing it in a server, you just have to be careful with the database that must not have any prefix assigned to it. Then if you follow the documentation you shall have no problem.

If you need further help contact us using out profile contact form: http://themeforest.net/user/leaftree#contact

This is not my first language, sorry for my grammer.

The template looks awesome. But I have an error installing the Demo Version:

Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Furthermore I can’t see the Admin-Panel.

If I delete the .htacess the Admin-Panel appears, but I get page not found messages from my provider …

I wrote 2 Messages / Mails and hope you can help me soon! Thank you!

Default-user

I’ve fixed it by myself:

uncomment the following line: RewriteBase / in .htaccess

Default-user

After changing Theme Color “The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.”

Come on, what is wrong with this template?

Default-user

Fixed it again by myself.

leaftree

Hi Michael.

The .htaccess file has the “RewriteBase /” property to avoid problems with the “Clean Urls”. Although this file may need to be changed depending on the configurations of different servers. Either way, we are glad to see that you managed the issue.

If you experience any problem in the future don’t hesitate to contact us, usually it is better by email (using our profile page contact form).

Thanks for your purchase and your English is great! :)

Love your theme. Very well done. Hope you make some more themes. Quick question: how can i make so when users click on the flickr picture that it opens in a new window instead of having to leave the site? thanks in advance.

leaftree

Hello,

First of all thank you for your words and purchase.

Regarding your question, you need to add the property “target=_blank” to the flickr link. To do that open the app.js file and go to the line 457 and change it to: ‘’ +

We would like also to let you know that we just finished releasing a new theme for Drupal that you can find here: http://themeforest.net/item/bracara-responsive-drupal-theme/6769209?ref=leaftree

Hi, I was evaluating several themes and finally bought two, one of them is special one. During evaluation I asked a few questions and got always immediate answers from leaftree. Hi, you theme looks very clean. is it easy to customize. do I need any programming knowledge. thanks

leaftree

Hello.

Thank you for your interest in our theme.

To change most of the content you will need basic knowledge of HTML to read and change to your content. Blog, Articles and Portfolio are content types and you will just need to create the content for it without touching in HTML. If you need to make theme customizations you will need to work on CSS and some template files.

If you are not sure that you will be able to configure the site send us an email through our profile page and we can provide you temporary access to a test installation of the theme.

Let us know if you have further doubts.

Best regards.

How would I go about linking the “Read More” button in “Latest Work” to an external page?

leaftree

Hello and thanks for your interest in SpecialOne.

In order to change that button you will need to make some slight changes to the view configuration and render a new field in the template for that view. Once you buy the theme send us an email through our profile page and we can guide you through the process.

Let us know your thoughts.

Hello Leaftree folk,

First, thank you for a great theme. I have worked with several Wordpress themes, but this is the first Drupal theme I’ve worked on. It has been a great experience, and the amount of control I have without dipping into code through the regions, the blocks, and all the color profiles has been great.

I have a question though about making the theme non-responsive. I am building a site that does not need to be responsive, and I was wondering if you could help me make it so a) the text doesn’t increasingly wrap as the browser is resized, and b) the styling doesn’t change at the various breakpoints (ie I don’t wan the menu or the two-column layout I’ve built to collapse into one column). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for a wonderful theme.

Best, Noah

Is it possible to have videos, specifically YouTube videos, in the Portfolio? I managed to add them but just a video icon is displayed, rather than the YouTube video icon.

I purchased this theme, and it is working fine. However when I see the installed theme on tablet or phone, the menu is not clickable (I have created pages in the menu). It is working fine on laptop, but the issue is with resized/smaller devices. I read the documentation and explored different options in ‘settings’ but cannot find any help.

Can you please help?

Hi,

I am thinking of purchasing this theme and I wanted to know how it behaves with multiligual sites (i18n, l10n).

I particular, I have developed several translatable blocks, views, fields, terms etc (plus a language picker) for my website and wanted to know if I should expect any difficulties.

Do you offer a language picker with the theme, or should I go with the one I have set up with existing modules?

Thanks in advance

leaftree

Hi!

Thank you for the interest in our theme.

We didn’t change anything related with multilingual in the theme, so we think that you will not have any problem in configuring and using the multilingual modules. The theme does not offer a language picker though and you might need to theme the language picker provided in the modules.

Let us know if you have further doubts.

Best regards.

First impresssions: EXCELLENT!

-All my setting (blocks, menus, languages, views, language switcher) were flawlessly recognized. -Nivo slider and Mega slider included are simply awesome! -Customer support is exemplary (my mail was replied within 6 hours). Still getting to know it and iron out some issues,* but I am happy I chose it.

*In particular: 1. Mega slider has an issue recognizing Greek texts, either system or Google fonts. During initial editing Greek fly-overs appear just fine, but after saving the Greek text is rendered as gibberish (sample text: ¿ ²¹²»¯¿) Any thoughts?

2. Can we select the width of main content and sidebars? (e.g. 2+8+2 columns, or 3+6+3, or 4+4+4, etc). I couldn’t find any such setting.

leaftree

Hi again!

Thanks for your kind words about our work, we highly appreciate and we are glad that you are enjoying working with SpecialOne.

About the first issue, as it is related with Mega Slider the best is to send a message to the Mega Drupal team. On the second issue, there is not a setting to change the width of those elements but changing the template files you can easily achieve the size you wish for each one. We will send you an email explaining that right away.

Best regards and thank you for purchasing SpecialOne.

Default-user

Update to version 2.7 saved the day! Fly-over texts in Greek now appear normally. Thanks for the rapid reply!

Great! You are welcome.

I am still testing the various aspects of this theme and I found something I feel I should share.

When installing/activating the custom articles and blog modules, something they do interferes with the language settings of previously created nodes. They mess up localization somehow (in particular, the language attributes of translated nodes); as a consequence, the multilingual Main Menu, which used to show only English or Greek items (drawing the language attribute from the respective nodes shows) now shows ALL node items because they have lost their language attribute.

I could not set this right and I had to revert to a backed up version of the site (fortunately I back up a lot!).

It is not something critical for me (I think) because I had already decided upon a customized articles content type to make my “blog” with. So I do no need those modules. But I felt I should mention it in case it may help someone else debug their site (or the authors to address the issue).

leaftree

Hi again!

We didn’t test the theme with multilingual modules, but other customers have the theme running with multilingual sites and they didn’t report such an issue, so it might be some problem with the modules you are using and our features that can have some kind of conflict. Can you please let us know which modules are you using for multilingual so that we can test in our part to see if we can replicate the issue?

Best regards.

Default-user

I have enabled almost all the modules provided with i18n (block, field, node, taxonomy, contact, redirect, variable etc). Also, l10n_update. To my view, a probable culprit is i18n_menu, but it is quite complicated to test.

As I said, this is a minor problem, since I already have a particular article content-type I am planning to use. From what I have seen, multilingual sites are quite challenging and it is not surprising for such incompatibilities to arise.

Default-user

OK, I think I have some more insight to share.

As a general remark, for multilingual menus to work properly, basic pages need to be created (and translated) first, and menu items need to be created (and translated) manually (Structure > Menus > Main Menu > Add link). From my experience, using Menu settings > Provide a menu link (in the edit page of the node) does not work properly. Also, you need to make sure that entries are translated (Edit menu > Translation mode > Translate and localize).

When custom “article” or “blog” is installed it messes up with those settings and reverses them. So all menu items appear all together irrespective of language. Also, for some reason, previously created articles did not inherit the intended styling (e.g. no taxonomy tags appeared although they were defined properly in the content type).

Since the custom articles look so cool, I went and made a clean install, activated the “custom article” module and then proceeded to setting up my basic pages. It was worth the effort because now the articles look much better.

So far so good. I post this a time saver for others who will attempt a multilingual site.

leaftree

Hello Thanasis,

Thank you for sharing your experience with multilingual.
