If it doesn’t say it there, then you are probably better off asking themeforest staff about it.
Hi Just a quick One Is their and option for the template widget area 1 and template widget area 2 I have placed widgets in them but cant see any widgets?
You would need to set the page template to “Widget Area 1” or “Widget Area 2” in order for it to show up on a page.
How do you get the child menu to show up
Assign an additional menu to “Subheader Menu”.
Or if you mean the dropdowns, http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Menu_User_Guide
The Child-page menu left item is what I am talking about. http://demo.wpbandit.com/sprout/demo/page-layouts/menu-left/
Set “Child-page menu left” as page template for the pages you want it to show up on. Select page template from the right side in admin panel, from a dropdown.
Hi, why in my posts in the main page doesn’t appear the featured image? Great Theme!!
NEVERMIND !! i found it!
Hi, Your theme is fantastic but I am not able to minimize the size of header text which shows in CAPITAL text.
Need help plx
Hi there! Thank you.
What you would need to do is go to Theme Options and then enable style-custom.css there.
Then, go to style-custom.css and add the following code:#logo { font-size: 36px; text-transform: none; }36px size is default, change it to what you want. No, It doesnt worked
I tried to edit following line in style.css
logo { font-family: ‘Oswald’, sans-serif; font-weight: normal; text-transform: uppercase; font-size: 36px; line-height: 70px; float: left; }
But it doesn’t worked.
I solved the problem by myself by editing header-wide-large.css file.
Another problem is header images are not automatically changing.
Unfortunately it’s a background switcher, not a slider. It would result in too heavy server loads to load all header images before they are actually switched. They are only loaded once clicked on now.
Pre-sales question: If I don’t want to have a featured at the top of a single post but still want to set that post as a featured post at the top of the homepage can I still specify a thumbnail for that?
Hi – let’s see if I understand the question correctly…
“If I don’t want to have a featured at the top of a single post…”
Do you mean featured image? The featured image only appears on single pages in full format for “image format” and “gallery format” posts. If you select any other one, it will not show up on single. The thumbnails never show up on single pages.
”...but still want to set that post as a featured post at the top of the homepage can I still specify a thumbnail for that?”
So, let’s say you make a new post. You set a featured image for it. Then it will be the image that appears for image format posts, and first appears on gallery format posts, since it uses the featured image there at the top.
Image format:
http://demo.wpbandit.com/sprout/2011/08/01/standard-format-post/Gallery format:
http://demo.wpbandit.com/sprout/2011/05/27/gallery-format-post/If you don’t use thumbnails, there will be no issue using different images for featured image and large image in the post (as you can simply include the other image in the text of the article). However, if you would want to use thumbnails on home for each post, and then have a different image show up on single, you would have to add a css class to hide the large image on index/home, so it only shows up on single, like:
.blog .hide-image { display: none; }and it would work that way as well.
If you are asking about how to feature a post instead: All you have to do is to first assign a category to use as featured category, and then assign any posts you want to feature to that category.
Hello,
Can i change the size of the thumbnails? i tried to change it under preferences but i cant see any changes.
thnx!

Hi There,
I want to purchase this theme but I have some questions..
1. Is it possible that the Featured Articles on top of the index page appear on all pages and single categories, so that readers always can see the featured articles on top? If so, could you help us to set that up pls..?
2. Are there any ADS widgets for the sidebar?
3. How well is the code SEO friendly?
Let us know if you can help us to add the featured articles always on top if possible.
Cheers and good luck with sales! David
Hi David!
1) This should be possible with a simple PHP change. Would not recommend it for SEO reasons but you can do it
If you purchase and post in our support forum we can guide where you need to make this change.
2) There are not any ads widgets at this time.
3) The theme is SEO optimized.
The background header slider – is it possible to change the background texture of the arc? It seems to only work with the default texture.
Never mind. Found the image, then found the reference to it in the CSS . Made a new arc image to match my texture and changed the CSS .
This is an outstanding theme by the way. Looks Great, not overdone and simple to use.
Thanks! Glad you were able to find the CSS . We try to keep a balance between theme options and ease of use. It’s not easy to do but we work hard it
Hi, One homepage i.e. on blogoll, there is a list of all blogs but problem is that each post is showing full article. I want it to show first 55 words only . How to use excerpt in coding ? Your coding is very confusing

+1 moreVery beautiful theme, I’m considering to purchase it for the re-design of WPCrown Magazine.
Thank you – and nice
Great theme! well though out and the design looks great.
Could you tell me how I may disable the date from showing on the featured posts above and on the blog.
Thanks
Hi there, please use http://forum.wpbandit.com for theme support. Thank you.
Is the background “switcher” there on purpose? Can you disable it, are you just showing you can change diff. backgrounds ?? I am confused on what it is there ?
Thanks.
It’s there on purpose, so users, guest can pick their own background from perhaps a few options. If you only upload one image it will just work as a normal backgrounds.
Purchased for WPCrown Magazine. Thank you WPB , it looks awesome!
Sweet
can the header bg’s rotate automaticly?
No, sorry. Due to the heavy server loads it would result in with a slider, we decided to not have that feature. It only loads one image now, until someone clicks on another.
Hello,
Lovely theme – please tell me is this Mobile Compatible / Responsive?
Best regards.
Hi there! Sprout is not responsive. However, it should still look pretty good on mobile.
Hi there.
This is almost the exact theme I am looking for, need to ask a few questions.
For the 4 posts across the top, can they be one per category, that way each category is feeding it’s latest article up the top.
Can it have a featured post slider?
Are you looking at making this Buddypress compatible?
That’s all!
Hi there!
The way the theme works right now, it’s only supported to feature articles on home. However, if you did some modifications on your own it’s most likely doable.
The way the header works is that you create a category named ex. “Featured”, and put all posts you want to feature in the header, in that category. Then you select that category to be the one featured.
We’re not planning to make this Buddypress compatible, sorry.
Hi. The theme works well except my featured posts do not have images appearing even though each of these posts has a set ‘featured image’
Can you please tell me why this could be happening? Thank You
My first guess is that you haven’t enabled thumbnails in Appearance > Theme Options > Sprout under “Blog” – Display post thumbnails.
If they are old posts from another theme, you may need to regenerate thumbnails: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
If this doesn’t solve it for you, please use http://forum.wpbandit.com for further support. Thanks!
Pre-Sales Question – in the 3rd screenshot of the theme, the featured area on the blog homepage shows 3 posts. Is that still available in the theme, as this was not shown in the demo.
Thanks.
Yes, it is – you can select between 3 different featured area styles
