Hi Author, I got the icon style messed up when I update to V1.4 . I tried my local template and online preview with chrome, safari, Opera, the UI widgets->Icons has awful view, so do my project. I have to fall back to V1.3. I use mac book pro with retina screen, and the latest OS X 10.8.2.
I think I found the BUG. In sass/twitter/_sprites.scss, line 17 and 18, change [class=”icon-”], [class=” icon-”] { to [class=”gicon-”], [class=” gicon-”]. Also need to modify line 52 to 197, add a ‘g’ before every ‘icon’. I have no idea about white-icon section. The icon fixed, but I do not know whether having the side effect.

How can I contribute this template? I have upgrade font awesome to 3.0.1, and it works well within my project and Start template. Although it very simple to replace the font files and scss files with the latest one which can be download from http://fortawesome.github.com/Font-Awesome/.

Demo does not load on my iPad/Chrome.. stuck at loader icon! Same w/ iPad Safari.. debug console gives JS errors w/ enquire.js (matchMedia is required)
I just tested on an Ipad (2) – both on Safari and Chrome – and everything works. Did you tried to refresh for a few times?

Hi it’s me again when i update the jquery to 1.9.2 the append works fine but the layout stop works and give me this on stack trace:

Hi, found a bug, i guess, in the gallery, the fist image of the row is always bigger then the rest. Maybe a CSS problem ? How can i fix it to be all the same size ?
Hi – becuase it`s the first column from the row it doesn`t have left padding. That`s how the applied grid works.
Thanks for the info. I did set the padding left of the first child to 20px and looks like it did the trick. Just cant imagine why somebody would use a gallery with the images from the first row bigger then the rest. For me, still a bug.

I am having trouble with double icons though.
Both the glyphicons and fontawsome icons are showing at the same time.

That should be something from CSS. Did you try to use for glyphicons classes like “gicon-name” not “icon-name” ?

For some reason my base.css file didn’t have the “gicon-name” classes, only the “icon-name” classes. Maybe I was using a previously downloaded version.

Hi again, how can i make the default menu state of the site to sidebar_icons. I´m changing this on scripts.js:
if (localStorage.getItem("start.menu_state") === null) localStorage["start.menu_state"] = "sidebar_default";but nothing changes. Actually i´m trying to set the menu to icons with a PHP script when one specific page is accessed but looks like i cant change the menu state dynamically, only manually on the site.

The menu states are stored in a localStorage variable using HTML5. You can remove that JS code if you want just Sidebar Icons menu state, and simply add the class the “sidebar_icons” class to the html tag.

I don’t like to bash anybody’s work because i respect the time and effort we all put into our projects. However, i would like to give you some constructive critics. I think you should have a pre-packaged (clean) version of your template… and if you want to add the demo, it’s ok. Your plugin folder is just too big, too many files that don’t help at all to your template. The way it is right now is good maybe for demo purposes, but like i said, you should clean that folder and leave only the files you need to operate your template. Take a look at other examples in this website. I’ve purchased more than two dozens of admin templates. Some terribles, some other very well done. You may want to take a look at how Constellation Admin template does it. Very clean, minimal files required, amazing documentation.
That’s just one of the things.

I know there are many files – but 99% of them are used by different pages plugins. If you don`t need – for example – charts, you can delete the folder associated with them and reduce the number of files.

There are hundreds of files that has nothing to do with the template. Demo files from all the plugins you used for example. I am just saying… Any developer would tell you the same. Obviously designers don’t understand about performance and efficiency. As long as it “looks good”, you are content. You got a lot to learn in this biz.
In your index.html you got repeated scripts statements for example…. blah, i don’t have time for this.
You work is sloppy dude. Keep that attitude, and you won’t get too far in this business.
Thank you for your opinion – we really appreciate it. But that was the only way to include so many functionalities and in the same time have a full flexibility over each element.
The purpose of this template is still to help designers to put their ideas into a layout and from there a developer will code and optimize for their needs.
We have few clients that use this template and create really great apps, that not just looks good but work really well. We’re proud of them!
I’m sorry if your expectations were too high but you have to understand the perspective of which this template was created and act accordingly.

When i try to use this template with struts, i cant apply the css style on the struts S and SX tag. Can it ?
And when i split the index page by using <include tag>, when i scroll down on the index page, the sidebar background color seem to be only have the initial height of the page, when i scrol down, it will become white bg in the bottom part…. Maybe i dont make it clear, but I cant post an image here to indicate. I am sure its my problem, not the template, just dont know how to fix it..

ok so i have found some bugs in this otherwise its good…first of all it’s very slow…secondly in this page:http://themeforest.net/item/start-metro-ui-responsive-admin-template/full_screen_preview/3408505…where you need to secet number of entries of table 25 is not visible …and all check boxes can not be selected at once …if you can make this correct then i might think about taking it..

It’s not slow at all on our computers. The all checkbox is just for demo purposes – you can easily write a line of javascript to select all the rows.

wow you are quick:D..well may be then there is some problem with my net:P …what about that dropdown problem i guess your footer is overlapping with dropdown options that’s why 25 cant be seen as an option in select number of entries in dynamic table ..and look at tables option of next and previous they all are overlapping with each other

still that 25 is hidden and i want to give 4 options as well 10 25 50 100…so 50 and 100 will always be hidden any update in which these are visible or any method to make them visible?...like may be some other browser?

Hey mate, I’m sitting here fiddling with the template, and have run into a problem, nothing specifik to you, but maybe you can help.
I want to use php $sessions which requires me to have the extension .php (please excuse my ignorance if I’m completely wrong, but it doesn’t function with <?php “the session data” ?>) and the site wont load when the extension is changed (normally i have no problems)
but i think it’s an issue dealing with the preloader, so maybe you can point me to how I can disable that?

Yes. that what I have seen in your left menu design it can’t be shifted to be to the right unless if there is changes in the scripts files or css files or even in the images itself (that’s I wan to to know how to make it?)

In your current release there is an issue with the CSS, which was not in the last release. If you look at the bottom or your tables pages the Pagination does not appear the way it should please fix and update so I may continue on my project.
