Thanks my friend! :)

Hey!

Does this theme support RTL ? Does it come in diffrent colors?

Thanks!

TrueThemes

Hi There,

We’ve not tried turning this template into RTL text format, however this can very likely be done via CSS modification.

Please note that this template is an HTML /CSS template and not a Wordpress theme. Using the Wordpress version of the Sterling template might be a better option for you, as it will allow for RTL using a 3rd-party plugin.

The Wordpress version of Sterling can be viewed here: http://themeforest.net/item/sterling-responsive-wordpress-theme/2320578

An RTL Plugin for wordpress can be viewed here: http://rtl-this.com/content/wordpress-plugin-rtler

Hello There, How will I be able to post on the BLOG ? Please describe the “step by step” process.

All the best!

TrueThemes

Hey There,

Thanks so much for your interest in Sterling.

This version of Sterling is the HTML +CSS Website template so adding a blog post will be the same as making any other HTML changes. In a nutshell, adding a blog post involves copy/paste the HTML code on the blog landing page, then creating a new page for the Blog detail page. You will simply use the included templates as your starting point.

If you’re interested in using the Blog and all that it has to offer, we highly recommend checking out the Wordpress version of Sterling. The Wordpress version is a lot more dynamic and requires no file editing at all. Simply create your Blog post content within Wordpress and everything else is fully automated.

SOOO Beautiful! Please start including more color options and/or color + texture options in your HTML /Site templates…like a brighter pink that is really pink instead of purple-ish, and colortones that are simply “plainer” – aka no glossiness. Really love the versatility but need something with all the color options but the option to not have the sheen effect on the color. :-) Kudos for great work!!!!

TrueThemes

Thanks so much for the kind words my friend! Sterling is super easy to customize and creating your own custom color scheme can be done with only a few lines of CSS .

Cheers :)

ciao, if i need to have mailinglist info in my email and not with MailChimp what i can do yks for answer ciao Rube info@visualcity.info

TrueThemes

Hi my friend,

Thank you so much for your Sterling purchase.

The contact mailing list form is built for MailChimp however it can likely be used with another mailing list system. There is not a mailing list functionality built into the core of the Template.

Never mind, I’m just stupid as usual!

I do have one problem working with this template, which is awesome by the way.

On the front/jquery page, the slider wrapper gets set to 1136px in height and I can’t figure out where that comes from. I’ve inspected as well as I can but it doesn’t seem to be set anywhere static. So there must be some JS doing this.

The element has the class slider_control but this class does not have the height set, so why doesn’t it appear as the demo?

Yeah, I’m sorry but wasn’t to keen on get yet another login/pass for the support :)

Does this template come with the actual layered PSDs of the entire website or just for backgrounds, logos, images and etc.?

TrueThemes

Hi my friend,

This web template comes with the full layered PSD and layered PNG design files.

May be I am missing something in the plain view, does this template have short code for tables(and particularly for creating a pricing table)? Awesome template btw. Thanks.

TrueThemes

Hey my friend,

Thanks so much for your Sterling interest. A pricing table shortcode is not currently available.

You can view a complete set of the included shortcodes here: http://themes.truethemes.net/Sterling-HTML/page-template-shortcodelist.html

hi, great work. it’s fantastic but there is a bug. on ie 7 the main menu is wrong

TrueThemes

Hi my friend.

Sterling is only IE8 + compatible. IE7 is close to extinct and we do not support.

Please feel free to give us a shout if you’ve got any further questions at all.

you are a great author. i just purchase it. and for me 5 stars ;-)

TrueThemes

Thanks so much for your kind words my friend. And thank you so much for your purchase. We truly appreciate your support.

Anyone know how to get the homepage slider to auto-play at a certain time interval? Thanks!

TrueThemes

Hi my friend,

This sounds like it will require adding a custom callback function to the slider’s javascript. This is not built-in by default so you will need to custom code the jQuery callback.

The slider uses a customized version of this plugin: http://slidesjs.com/

I like your beautiful theme, I want to use it for a very old website, I dont think I found a page like a product page. Also I have just bought a Dreamweaver and I am not a professional coder, but I had made this website adsources dot com in FrontPage, all pages in this website are static pages. Any suggestions if I can buy your theme and I will be able to use it with dreamweaver or can you make some additions to the theme to make it workable, if so what would be the cost.

TrueThemes

Hi my friend,

Thanks so much for your interest in Sterling.

You can indeed use the Sterling theme with Dreamweaver. Please note however that this is an HTML +CSS template so there is some assumption that you have at least a basic understanding of working HTML +CSS, and comfortable creating and linking up web pages.

If you’re looking for a more automated version of this template we highly recommend checking out the Sterling Wordpress version:

Hello,

I’m very interested in this theme. It’s really beautiful.

A little background: My site is php driven. I understand enough to know that I can change an html file into a php by changing the extension and adding php functionality. My knowledge of html is pretty good, CSS – enough to do minor customizations, PHP – very little. I have a programmer doing that work.

I will be using a lot of submit buttons on the site. Will I be able to use your button stylings for those buttons as well as simple link buttons?

TrueThemes

Hey my friend,

Thanks so much for your interest in Sterling.

The answer to your question is yes. Using the button styling throughout your website is a very simply process.

By simply adding the proper class name(s) you can turn any link into a nicely styled button. Here are some examples below:

Small Green Button: <a href="#" class="small green button"> Small Button </a>

Large Purple Button: <a href="#" class="large purple button"> Small Button </a>

I hope this is helpful for you. Please give us a shout if there’s anything else we can do to help.

Cheers :)

Thank you for the prompt reply.

To be clear, (because I am not fluent in CSS ) that means this:

<input type=”submit” value=”Submit” />

becomes:

<input type=”submit” value=”Submit” class=”small green button”/>

I want to make sure it works for input, select, those kinds of tags as well as

Thanks.

TrueThemes

Hi my friend,

Currently the button styling is only for links. You can however modify the CSS to also include input elements. It will essentially require copying the CSS styles for buttons and applying them to input elements.

Currently input buttons have their own set of styles which has a clas name of tt-form-submit> <input type="submit" class="tt-form-submit" value="Submit">

And one last thing:

Is there written documentation for this theme?

hey TrueThemes,

I’m wondering, even though responsiveness is awesome and I usually do look for themes that have it :) if its possible to take out a CSS file or a bit of jQuery or something from the <head> section to make the theme NON responsive?

The reason I’m asking is because I have a client that has something different in mind for their mobile site (we’ll be using a script that detects the size of the device and forwards to clientdomain/mobile if necessary) and they will be paying separately for a mobile website. Soooo, if I can’t turn responsiveness off so that I can build the mobile site separately, it takes a good chunk of change out of my pocket. Thoughts? Thanks!!

TrueThemes

Hi my friend,

Thanks so much for your interest in Sterling.

Turning off responsive-ness is actually already built into the theme. We’ve stored all “responsive CSS ” into it’s own stylesheet.

Disabling responsive functioning simply requires not calling that stylesheet at the head of the webpage.

I hope this is helpful for you.

Cheers :)

By the way – any chance of a working twitter feed or display of the most recent tweet or anything like that (the kind where I just need to switch out the username in the JS file) in the footer in a future update?

TrueThemes

Hey There,

Yes if this is something that we will definitely consider adding into a future release.

We also have a Wordpress version of the Sterling Template which is much more dynamic and already includes a Twitter Widget:
