After hearing all the raving about the support from this seller, I have to say I’m speechless after the support reply I received. You can go to the following page: http://themes.truethemes.net/Sterling-HTML/page-template-shortcodelist.html and see that resizing the page causes the first tab control to draw incorrectly. The tech support reply? “Refresh the page.” I may remove this comment if they get it together and fix this, or at least reply with something intelligent, but until then, I’d have to say avoid this seller if you’re looking for decent support.
Hi There my friend,
Truly sorry to hear you’re not happy with our support response.
If there’s anything else we can be of assistance with please feel free to give us a shout.
This just gets better. Here’s an actual quote from this now-comical support ticket: “Your customers can have very different monitor size and so their browser size will be different, but I am sure your customer will not resize their browser when they view your website.” This support tech literally said that only people with OCD ever resize their browser window for any reason while “surfing the internet.” I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Mobile compatibility isn’t the problem. But isn’t your product supposed to work with desktop computers, too? Why can’t you just respond to a resize event and recalculate the layout? Are you seriously not going to fix this?
We will definitely consider re-visiting the current functionality but nothing is broken and we do not see the need for your requested functionality. The tabs have enough play in them for desktop browsers if a user is resizing the window to a smaller size. We’re truly sorry if you’re not happy with this.
We’ve got over 7 years of working on high-level corporate websites and we’re very much aware of end-user requirements.
If you’re completely unhappy with our product or service we’re very happy to provide you with a refund. We’re not going to go back and forth trying to prove our case as we’ve not got anything to prove.
We respect you very much as a customer and we hope you’ll continue to let us serve you.
As Ugeeeen wrote above, I have the same problem. When I zoom on Chrome & Safari (on PC), everything on the theme becomes bigger except for text. Would you please advise how to fix this? Thank you.
Hey my friend,
We’re very happy to take a closer look at your website and help you to resolve.

Really great theme works great with mobile and small screens. Love to see more work.
Thanks so much my friend! We’ve got many great new themes to come in the future!
Hello. I viewed the template on my mobile device, but it loaded the desktop version instead of the mobile version. What am I doing wrong that I can’t see the mobile version of your template?
We’re very happy to have a closer look and help you to resolve.
Thanks so much
Hi! I bought this theme and I use it with great satisfaction. I just have a little request to make. With the theme it is provided a useful “404-page not found” html page. I’d like to provide my site a “403-not authorized page” as well and I’d like to keep the overall look and feel. To do so, I lack a 403 image. If you have the psd it will be very easy to provide the 403 image. Can you do that and email it to me?
We’re so happy to hear you’re enjoying the Sterling theme.
We don’t have a PSD of the 404 template but we’ve went ahead and created a custom 403 graphic for you. Dimensions and layout are all ready to go so you’ll just need to download the image and adjust the CSS accordingly.
I hope this is helpful my friend.
This is what I call an “excellent customer service”. Seriously, you deserve each of your awards. A little question more. I experence some problems with Internet Explorer (the other browsers are just fine) when I try to see VIMEO videos embedded in the site. Is this a solvable issue?
Thank you so much my friend. It’s truly our pleasure serving you.
As per the vimeo/IE issue this is likely a global issue not related to the Sterling template itself.
Perhaps try doing a google search for vimeo video bugs in the version of IE you experiencing issues with.

This is a really good theme and I also would like to say that TrueThemes offers an amazing support and I´m very happy to had bought this theme.
Thanks so much Andre. We sincerely appreciate your kind words. It’s our absolute pleasure working with you.
Is there easy way to keep the main nav from jumping to right vertically align in Internet Explorer? My client says he has IE9 and it still messes up.
We’re not experiencing IE9 bugs on our end but we’re very happy to have a closer look and help you to resolve.
Thank you so much
How do I get the homepage slider to rotate automatically?
We’re very happy to assist you my friend.
I’m not new to HTML but I am new to using an html template opposed to using Wordpress or Joomla.
I would like to purchase this template, but I am curious..
Is there a back end with the blog, or an editor of some sort, or when I would like to make a new blog post do I do it in strictly HTML?
here is my website now: http://tinyurl.com/b87nnul
as you see i pretty much use wordpress as a blog.
Thanks so much for your Sterling HTML interest.
There is not a back-end section for the Blog. Sterling is only an HTML template and is generally used by customers to plug into a 3rd-party Content Management System.
We encourage you to check out the Sterling Wordpress version which has a fully-functional and fully-dynamic blogging capability:
Please let us know if there’s anything else at all we can do to help.
would it be so bad to create new pages for the blogs?
Yes you can indeed add dynamic functionality to the HTML templates however it will require a custom-built PHP back-end system (SQL database, etc).
We unfortunately do not currently offer a service for this type of functionality. We recommend using the Wordpress system for very easy-to-use PHP dynamic website.
Please just let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help.
Hey, when I open the site in IE8 things arent displaying properly because IE8 doesnt recognize tags like “section” that you have in the HTML. Is there a IE8-friendly version bc this template isnt too useful for IE8? It seems like the language this is in is more comparable to HTML 5 as opposed to 4.0 Transitional (which as we all know is what most people/companies still use) Please help!
Sterling HTML is rendering nicely for us in IE8 however we’re very happy to take a closer look behind the scenes and help you to resolve.

I purchased the Sterling HTML template. Love it, but I can’t get the
“homepage-jquery-sidebar” slider to auto run. Tried all the instructions in help
file docs. In fact it doesn’t work on your website demo. Does it only work by
manually clicking the buttons. Noticed WP version works fine.
Any help would be appreciated.
Sure thing my friend. We’re very glad to take a closer look behind the scenes and help to provide solution.

I purchased this template because I liked “Karma” which is another one of their templates. The HTML & CSS code is really clean. I had ZERO problems setting up “Sterling.” I highly recommend this template and author.
Thank you TruThemes!
Thanks so much Dave! We really appreciate your kind words.
We’re so glad you’re happy with our products.
You rock my friend!
After much searching and many trials of Themeforest templates, i believe i have found what I’m looking for with Sterling HTML5 and purchased recently.
I have a question regarding the form field styling in the Sterling template;
I’d like to use the form field styling and validation features from your Karma (which I also bought) template instead. Can you advise how I can do this please?
Thanks so much for the kind words my friend.
We’re very happy to assist with your inquiry.
In js section:
// START Validation
// Add any additional required fields below
// END Validation
In html section:
<label for="name" accesskey="N"><span>*</span> First and last name</label>
<input name="name" type="text" id="name" size="30" value="" />
<label for="email" accesskey="E"><span>*</span> Email</label>
<input name="email" type="text" id="email" size="30" value="" />
<label for="phone" accesskey="P"><span>*</span> Phone</label>
<input name="phone" type="text" id="phone" size="30" value="" />
<label for="address" accesskey="A"><span>*</span> Address</label>
<input name="address" type="text" id="address" size="30" value="" />
<label for="comments" accesskey="C"><span>*</span> Your comments</label>
<textarea name="comments" cols="40" rows="3" id="comments"></textarea>
In php section:
$name = $_POST['name'];
$email = $_POST['email'];
$phone = $_POST['phone'];
$address = $_POST['address'];
$comments = $_POST['comments'];
Thanks so much for posting the code.
Everything you’ve posted seems to be in order – very well done my friend
We’ll just need to take a closer look behind the scenes to help determine the cause for the issue and provide a solution.

I had intended to buy this theme, but after reading all of the repetitive
“All of our Product Support is conducted via our TrueThemes HelpDesk.”
replies I’m glad I didn’t.
I understand the desire to drive traffic to your own site, but if you really can’t answer some of the simple requests here on ThemeForest then you don’t really deserve the business.
Nice template by the way, but when people incur coding problems they generally return to where they purchased the template from, why try to make them jump through hoops to get support for your own gain?
Truly sorry you feel that way my friend.
We actually don’t gain a single thing by users visiting our support site. There is no marketing, no email fetching, nothing to gain on our end.
TrueThemes is a 3-man team and we’re located in 3 different countries with 3 different timezones.
Our HelpDesk is simply in place to enable us to collaborate as a team and answer support requests in the most timely and professional manner. It’s also fully secure with SSL certification so there are times when our developers will need to temporary log into a users site and determine the issue. It’s fully secure and safe place to share the temporary login details.
We wish you awesome success on your template hunt and upcoming project.
