So I’ve been having all sorts of issues trying to get this theme to install. My client was using iPage.com hosting, I installed a fresh copy of WordPress, uploaded the theme, then it said the filesize was too big. So I increased the limits per the php.ini file trick.

The theme uploaded just fine. Once I hit activate, the whole screen just went blank. Then nothing. I can’t even log back into the site at all. I was able to delete the theme files via FTP and then log back in. I was able to install other themes with no issues.

So then I made up a test subdomain on my HostGator hosting account (test.eightdeuce.com) and installed the theme. Everything worked perfect, no issues. So I told the client to switch to HostGator. They did, but they setup a VPS hosting account. I just use the basic shared hosting. Oh well, should work.

I went to install the hosting on their new server, and the same thing happened. I was able to hit activate and that worked. But then I hit the link that said something about installing the plugins that came with the theme, then the screen went blank, and now I can’t log back into the admin area.

I contacted HostGator live chat and they said they need to know what all of the requirements are to run this theme. Can you supply me with that ASAP? Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for such a great theme. But a question, This theme comes with over 100 built-in short codes. But in visual editor there are only 18 appeared. So have you any cheat sheet or any list of all short codes like [pagination_links], [home_marketing_content], [home_marketing_icons], [home_marketing_blog_posts] etc. Thanks again.

The 100 shortcodes refers to the variations of all the included shortcodes. (ie different color buttons, different styles of tabs + image frames, etc)

When I installed the theme, I chose a default logo.. now I try to change it with a customized logo that I made but I cant. It allows me to choose only from the default logos.

It sounds like the Custom Logo field still has text inputted into the “Logo Text” section of the Options Panel. When text is present in this field it will “activate” the custom logo builder and “de-activate” a logo image that you’ve uploaded.

To fix, simply remove any text within the “Logo Text” field and your uploaded logo image will be activated.

We’ve done some testing and here are our findings:

Synved-shortcodes: This plugin does not properly include necessary files into the theme. All functionality works but some of the styling is not 100% proper.

SexyBookmarks: Works great without any issues.

Shortcodes Ultimate: Works great without any issues.

I have been using this theme for over six months, now. The theme itself is excellent—feature-rich, flexible, functional. However, the theme is not what made me take the time to write this comment; it was their customer support. Every time I’ve contacted them, they’ve been quick to reply and extremely helpful. Even when one of the issues turned out to be completely unrelated to the theme, they took the time (quite a bit of time) to fix it for me anyway. Stellar!
