I am getting this message: There is a new version of the Sterling Theme available. You currently have version 1.0.1 installed. Please update to version 1.5.1.
However, I JUST (minutes ago) downloaded from Theme forrest. What’s the deal?
Very sorry about any confusion. Version 1.0.1 is the most recent version. Not sure where 1.5.1 is coming from. We will investigate and have it sorted straight away.
No action is required on your end. You’re fully updated and all good to go.
I was wondering when the new theme from True Themes would come out, since I have purchased Karma long time ago and I’m absolutely impressed with it. Now that the wait is over and this new theme is out, I must say I’m blown away and it definitely exceeded my expectations.
Fantastic work guys, hats off to you!!
You don’t produce many themes like others, BUT , oh boy, when they DO come out they put everyone else to shame.
I wanna piece of it, of course, but have just one question before taking out my wallet :
- Is there a “Pricing” page layout included? Karma comes with it and I thought this feature would be incorporated (as many others from Karma have been), but I can’t see it in demo. Could you let me know?
Cheers and congratulation.
Hey there mate,
Thank you so very much for the kind words
Sterling does not currently have a pricing table option, however this is something that we will most definitely add in the future.
Great theme again, had to buy it.
I have a problem with the jquery slider and menus loading in IE9 . All looks ok in IE8 . Could you have a look http://www.ptfeandgasketsdirect.com/
Yes we can most certainly have a closer look for you. Sterling is optimized for IE9 so all should be well.

Thanks so much
Thanks for the quick response. Problem sorted. Kids had enabled windows compatibiltiy view settings, Lol! Sorry for any time wasted caused.
Great site, great service, great product. Good luck to you guys.
Thanks for your assistance.
No worries at all! Glad to hear you’re all sorted! Cheers
So far so good in working with this theme. After checking the knowledge base I have a few questions:
1. I’d like to have a sidebar display a random video widget on the home page and have it appear in the right hand corner as in “Homepage – jQuery Sample 2”. In the sample you have a testimony and I’d like to replace it with the sidebar. I’ve created a new sidebar but don’t see which shortcode displays. Am I missing something?
2. I’ve created two slider posts and have added a featured image for both. After saving them I notice that the post content appears but neither of the featured images appear in the slider.
Any responses appreciated.
We’re happy to assist you with your questions.

My server will not allow me to upload anything more recent than Wordpress 3.1.4. Will this theme work just as well in that version of WP? Thanks for your help.
Thank you very much for your interest in Sterling. The answer to your question is Yes. Sterling is fully compatible with all versions of Wordpress 3.
Cheers my friend
Awesome – I’m so glad. It looks amazing so I’m buying now!
I have a small question about this theme.
Is it possible to make an image frame (float right or left) with a text ? and how ?
I have buy your Karma theme (I recommand x100 to buy this theme ) especially for the easy-to-use and your very good customer support.
So pleased to hear you’ve had a nice experience with our Karma theme and support.
There’s currently not a built-in image floating option however with some custom CSS you can certainly achieve this functionality.
All the best my friend.
This is one of the best themes I’ve seen in a while! Congratulations. Is it possible to change the colour of the buttons?
Thanks so much mate!
Yes if you check out the shortcodes page you will see that the buttons come in a variety of different colors: http://themes.truethemes.net/Sterling/shortcodes
Also, if you’ve got the proper CSS knowledge you can certainly customize the theme and add your own custom buttons.
Thanks so much my friend,
If the Counter on the Under-Construction Site shows you the wrong Time:
Change the Line 19 in “page-template-under-construction.php” from:
year = <?php echo $construction_year; ?>; month = <?php echo $construction_month; ?>; day = 10;
hour= 16; min= 0; sec= 0;
year = <?php echo $construction_year; ?>; month = <?php echo $construction_month; ?>; day = <?php echo $construction_day; ?>;
hour= 18; min= 0; sec= 0;
Otherwise it will always take Day 10 of the Month, worked for me
Smashing! Thanks so much!
is it possible to disable the responsive width?
all the best,
Yes this is indeed possible. You’ll just need to remove some lines of CSS code and you’ll be all good to go. This modification will take literally only 20 seconds.
I hope this helps.
I’m still facing a mobile issue with the theme:
Are you guys still working on the next css update?
Yes truly sorry for any delay. We had about a 30-hour internet down time here in Thailand and it’s pushed back our schedule a bit. We’re planning to release the next version within the next 1 business day.
Yes there should be no reason that you can not add that paralax slider plugin. Please just note that depending on your desired outcome it may require you to make a page template customization. (ie. if you want the slider to show up within the “colored banner area” this will require making some page template adjustments.)
Please just let us know if we can answer any further questions.
This is the second product I’ve purchased from these amazing, talented and service-oriented folks at TrueThemes, and I highly recommend all their products. If you’re sitting on the fence about which theme to purchase, I would unquestionably recommend that you go with TrueThemes. Their service is second to none; their respect and kindness is something from which we can all learn, and their designs are beautiful. I’m a fan – hands down, and I’m excited to see what they come up with next.
Thanks so much RJ. You rock my friend!!
Very interested in your theme. Important—we need more pixel height for client logo—what is max?
Thank you for your consideration!
Thanks so much for your Sterling interest!
There is no limit on the size of the logo. The top white “navigation bar” is completely flexible and will auto-adjust in height.
Thanks for a nice template! How do you add the contact form? Is there a short code… or how do you set it up manually?
The contact form is setup using the included point-and-click form builder.
We’ve not posted a training video for this under the Sterling section however if you visit the Karma – Wordpress Training Videos you can follow along step by step for using the form builder.
Simply access the Training Videos page, click Karma – Wordpress, and watch the video labeled 6. Contact Form + Form Builder>
Cheers my friend!
Great job, great job, great job ….. more and more attention to the slider part. Best wishes for sales + 50,000
Nice Theme True Themes
Senadh mentioned the pricing tables, any idea on a time frame when you might make it available.
I’m new to WordPress and looking to purchase.
We don’t currently have a determined date for the pricing tables release. Perhaps within the next 1-2 weeks?
Thank you my friend
Thanks for the great site. Especially the help tutorials. This is my first site and I’m so impressed with myself on how professional it looks. My questions is about FAQ ’s. I would like to be able to give them a category so that you could find them easier. Also it would be good to be able to have them in a specific order. Is this possible now or in a future release?
FAQ Categories is not currently a built-in feature however with proper PHP /Wordpress coding knowledge you can certainly modify your theme to include this customization.
As per ordering your FAQ posts this is currently a built-in feature. You simply add your items in the order with which you’d like them to display. (the item you add 1st will display 1st, the item you add 5th will display 5th, etc…)
As of now I have text and a symbol for the logo… Is there a way to make it so JUST the vector appears when in responsive mode? I would have 2 different images, so perhaps have the CSS pull a different background for each?
This sounds like it’s very possible however we’ll have to check out the logo / text to get a better idea about what you’d like to achieve.
Please kindly submit your question as a ticket on our secure HelpDesk so that our dedicated support team can further assist you. Please provide as many details as possible so we best assist you.
Hey guys. Thanks for blazingly fast reply!
Just one more question:
I desperately need to publish vertical portraits on the “team members” page. I have tried to change the parameters in the “style.css” > stylesheet guide part 15 to a vertical format :
background-position: -548px -668px;
But the image place holder – the one with the drop shadow – does not really allow me change anything. Right now the image format is :
But I need:
- Is this possible to change at all? Thanks again for a SUPER cool template
are included the psd Photoshop? Thanks
Yes the Photoshop PSD are included in the download package. Also included are Fireworks PNG
Please note however that we design in Fireworks so the PSD ’s are exported versions. This generally makes no difference at all however sometimes Photoshop won’t properly render certain items.
Please just let us know if you’ve got any further questions at all.
Thank you very much just what we bought and everything is correct. I bought it with our business account (user: closemarketing) From now on if I need help I communicate with you from that account.
