What happened to all the cool lighting patterns that used to be in this theme? There used to be a bunch of lighting patterns that you could add to the site and they seemed to have suddenly vanished? You can still see one of them on your theme page (http://themeforest.net/item/sterling-responsive-wordpress-theme/2320578) but I can no longer find that option anywhere in the backend?
I think they are called banner overlays and I see that section in the Theme Designer however, the images aren’t showing up to choose them?
Sure thing my friend.
Yes you are correct, the banner overlay images are located within: Appearance > Site Options > Theme Designer.
If images not showing we’ll simply need to take a closer look behind the scenes of the website to help determine the cause and provide a solution.

I would like to change the footer on my site.
The idea is to have 2 (widget) colums (1/third left + 2/third right)
Is this possible?
And how can i delete the RSS feed button from the footer?
For RSS icon please refer to this article: https://support.truethemes.net/?faq=remove-the-rss-icon
As per footer columns, changing the columns in footer to 1/3+2/3 is not available by default. This can however be achieved by editing the theme’s code. We’re happy to point you in the right direction for making this modification. Please use the links below so that our dedicated support staff can gladly provide guidance:
For some reason the main woocommerce archive page does not display the correct title in banner?
If you got to my assigned archive page: http://laserlightforhairgrowth.com/shop-devices/
You will see in the banner heading is wrong and it is grabbing the first product title in the loop instead of grabbing the page title. Is there a fix for this?
Hi, we’re very happy to troubleshoot this for you.

I activated the theme last night and under the menu location settings there are only 2 locations – Main and Footer and I don’t have an option for the top menu so nothing is displaying.
Is this an issue since I’m using the most current wordpress intsall? 3.8.1

getting the error:
LayerSlider: old jQuery issue
It looks like you are using an old version (1.10.2) of the jQuery library. LayerSlider requires at least version 1.7.0 or newer.
I have already updated the theme and the plugin so no idea why this is happening.. Please help!
This looks like an old version of the LayerSlider is being used.
We’ve got the solution right here for you. We need to share a private download link so kindly used the helpdesk links below to submit a Ticket and we’ll gladly send over the solution.

Hi im trying to get the navigation menu to work properly but for some reason i cant. Im going to customize then menu and selecting main menu but it is not saving
This is generally caused by a server-related ‘limit’ on the number of items that can be added to the menu.
Here’s an article outlining the solution: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-custom-menu-items-limit-in-wordpress/
Hope this helps
im also trying to upload images and they are not showing on the portfolio section just the lightbox is working
Sure thing, we’re very happy to help.

We’ve reviewed the site and believe the error is related to the image-resizing script not working due to security permission on the web server.
Here’s a HelpDesk article outlining the solution: https://support.truethemes.net/?faq=timthumb-could-not-create-cache-clean-timestamp-file
Upon further insight we see that error is caused by wrong URL being used for the image.
(Note the -300×185 extension in the URL)
This is added to the URL because you did not select the Full Size option in Media Upload.
Simply edit the URL and make sure to select Full Size for all other Images he added to the Gallery Posts and all will be well.
This is still displaying the wrong menu its displaying navigation left
Great to hear

Hello, why I can not add photos uploaded from my computer to Lightbox image frame? When I put a url does not show me any photo either.
I appreciate your help.
Can you kindly post link to the website?
When you guys have the chance, can you update your changelog on the helpdesk site? It’s outdated right now. I’m still working on moving things over into a child theme, so right now, I’m stuck manually updating certain files. (my fault in the past) Its also cool though because I can see what types of updates were made and understand more about how the theme evolves.
Have a great day!
Sure thing my friend, just posted the update.
Is there any RTL support in this theme?
Thank you for the kind words @mr_henry
There is no RTL at this time however if demand increases we will surely add it.
Sterling version 2.2 has just been released and is now available for download
This version includes a fixed/sticky menu bar, Wordpress 3.9 compatibility, vector icons, new shortcodes and more.
Overview of Changes:
Hope you enjoy
How do you change the color of this to be different than theme color? Lets say the theme is default BLUE but I want these words in the picture to be RED. I have attached a picture to show the words I want to change color. How do I change it? Which Css file?
Sure thing my friend, we’re happy to help.
The text in the screenshot can be changed with a small bit of Custom CSS.
Simply grab the code below and add it to the ‘Custom CSS’ section of Sterling’s Site Options Panel.
‘Custom CSS’ is located under: Appearance > Site Options > Styling and CSS > Custom CSS
(adjust color as necessary)
Any major update for this theme like Karma theme did?
A nice handful of additions have been made to the Sterling theme but not massive overhaul like Karma upgrade.
Full changelog details outlined here: https://support.truethemes.net/?knowledgebase=sterling-changelog
Hello. I have purchased your Karma Theme quite a few times and all my clients are very happy. I m as well because I like the way everything functions and the customer service. OK, enough kissing up. I have a question about Sterling, and if it would be possible… Is it possible to have the main navigation under the logo instead of to the right? My client has to many pages they would like to show as the main nav. They would fit if the menu bar could be beneath. Thanks.
If I can’t get the menu bar below, would it be possible to make the page links be to lines so they will be shorter in length?
Thanks so much for the kind words my friend
Yes, Sterling has a dropdown field in the admin panel which enables the easy selection of a centered logo. This option centers the logo and places the menu directly below it.
Love the preview of this theme. I am not a fan of sticky headers/menus/nav. Can this be disabled? Thank You Very Much.
Yes the fixed header can be toggled on/off with simple checkbox in the admin panel.
Thanks in advance
Thank you for posting the screenshot, it’s very helpful.
The slider shown in the screenshot is LayerSlider plugin. Our team did not build LayerSlider plugin so we’re unable to provide bug support.
Kindly reach out to plugin developer for help with this fix. http://codecanyon.net/item/layerslider-responsive-wordpress-slider-plugin-/1362246
You guys going to be retinal ready anytime soon?
Yes much of the theme is already retina-friendly and future updates will continue to include further retina support.
Hopefully a simple question. Is there a way to just show the social media icon only?
(please see our response to your most recent question)
Is it possible to eliminate the background of the slider image? I was able to do so, but it eliminated the image frames at the same time. How can I keep both?
