Hi,

Is there a way to not show the “All” in a filterable gallery, but have it default to one of the categories?

Thanks

Am I crazy or does this theme require me to edit code to change the menu structure?

I just purchased it and downloaded it today, but I can’t save a menu structure. The videos appear to show the only way to do this is to change the code to suit??

Please tell me this is wrong?

Nevermind I figured it out. Sorry for the noise

TrueThemes

No worries at all :)

Is there any type of translator for this theme?

Thanks a lot

TrueThemes

Hi There,

We’re very happy to assist you with this my friend.

There are a few options for multilingual site-translation.

The comprehensive and more ‘professional’ solution is achieved via the WPML Plugin: http://wpml.org

WPML is a very powerful plugin that enables you to provide translated text for every part of your website. Please note however that WPML does require you to provide the translated text. This is the most accurate and professional method of translating a website.

Another great and much quicker/easier option is by using the Google Wordpress Translator Plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-translator/

Google Translate is an awesome service that enables you to begin translating your website within minutes. The only downside is that Google uses “machine translation” which means that things like grammar, proper language may not always be rendered correctly during a translation.

Both great options. Just depends on your desired needs.

Should you require any further assistance please kindly submit a ticket on our secure HelpDesk so that our dedicated support team can gladly assist you.

hey – I purchased Karma and now I think Sterling would be perfect for a client. One issue regarding mobile responsiveness (viewing the live example you have) – the upper logo area/menu takes up way too much space on iPhones – especially in landscape. There is very little room beneath it to scroll and see the content. Have you seen this happen before?

Thanks.

TrueThemes

Hi There,

Thank you so very much for supporting our products – you absolutely rock my friend! :)

Yes the height of the top menu area is defined using “padding” so changing that to a lower number will make it shorter in very simple line of code

Thank you :)

Hi, I’m interested in this theme. Do you have a live demo of the boxed version so that I can see how it will look as my client wants boxed specifically. thanks.

Disappointed that I haven’t had a reply to a pre-purchase questions in 3 days since posting. Thanks anyway.

Hey @tryspot

My deepest and most sincere apologies for the incredibly long response time.

I can promise and assure you that our normal response times is 100% always within 24 hours and normally responses are within just a few hours.

Hi I have purchased your theme. 1. The way social media icons appear when they are placed in the top sidebar, i want want them to appear in exact similar way when placed in the footer sidebars. i.e in white 2. when i place the social media in the fotter sidebar as widgets. they appear vertically, one below the other. I want all of them to appear horizontally side by side. I am using two columns in the footer.

In order to @joeydav and his comment about the responsive mode on iPhones, I was wondering if it is possible to fix the menu in responsive mode, so you can scroll it away along the rest of the page, so the menu isn’t bothering you anymore, but stays at the top of the page when you’re on pc using the site. Is there any possibility (for Sterling theme)?

I personally had to tweak the CSS to hide slider for mobile and resize divs for optimal viewing. Kinda lost the look of homepage but, was only way I found to fix. Hopefully this can be fixed in next rev..

TrueThemes

Absolutely my friend.

Kindly post the issue along with sample URL onto our HelpDesk and our development team will surely implement a fix.

We are helping a client de-spam his site. He has 71K spam messages and we’re going to delete them on the server. Where are messages stored? (these are not comments, but are ‘messages’ that came with a theme tool.) We have replaced the contact form with a spam-free one but need to find these to delete them.

Can we get a reply please? Where are the messages stored so we can delete them?

Thanks

Hey Guys,

Great theme. Had some issues/questions that I hope you guys can help me with.

1. When trying to create a JQuery slider, I’m only given the option in the template dropdown box for JQuery + Sidebar (No JQuery only option and I really don’t want the sidebar).

2. I’ve created a tab box with about 9 different tabs. However, when I click on the tabs, they do not change to the tab that I clicked on and only displays the information from the first tab (appears to not be functioning properly)

3. I’ve also tried to add a button inside the content portion of the tabs, but can’t seem to figure out where to appropriately place the shortcode for the button to render.

4. Is it possible to remove the “call out” section (The section right above the footer with call to action button) ONLY from one page. On the services page, we will have several calls to action and the “call out” section just seems TOO redundant for that page.

I really appreciate your assistance in helping me get these issues resolved and thanks in advance!

Regards,

Default-user

One more question, I’ve also noticed that if I try to create several pricing boxes on one page (9 to be exact) and the alignment gets thrown out of whack REALLY badly on the second row and all the rest of the way down the page. All I have done was open the shortcode option and insert the generated shortcode. Could you please advise?

Hi Sterling team,

I commented here a few months ago about some bugs I found in your Javascript slider. They are still present in your last major release. You can see them on your own demo site.

1) Using the slider navigation buttons messes up the slider timing so that the slides begin rapid cycling.

2) Depending on the dimensions of the page, images in the slider get cropped at the bottom, along with the bottom portion of the white frame.

Would you please fix these bugs?

Thanks.

TrueThemes

Hello,

I’m trying to add a image frame with the supplied shortcode and nothing is coming up. All I get is the frame but no image. I’m inputting the full url of the image and nothing. If I look at the source code, in the img tag under src something like this shows up: http://websitename/wp-content/themes/Sterling/framework/extended/timthumb/timthumb.php?src=http://free.clipartof.com/176-Free-Cartoon-Owl-Clipart.jpg&h=89&w=125

The same happens if I try to add a lightbox image frame. I’m working on MAMP locally so I can’t send you a link to check :( Please help! Thanks!

Hi, I was able to make it work, it only works with local images, inside the same domain. Thanks anyways :)
