The support provided by this theme is top notch and highly responsive. I had a very positivie experience getting my issue resolved and was not talked down to or treated like I was an idiot for my lack of technical knowledge (this was my experience when I called my hosting site GoDaddy).

kaptinlin

Hi Kristina

Thank you. It should be noted that Kristina’s issues were entirely related to the hosting account. GoDaddy operates with basic core php variable setttings on their normal hosting which are insufficient to run WP 3.9 plus a higher level premium theme. And they appear to install a custom version of WP if one uses their default routine to install wp into the website root.

Kristina’s issues were compounded by the fact that when they contacted GoDaddy initially for help, they were given incorrect information.

We had to go into Kristina’s site by ftp and correct for all these matters in order for their wp and the theme to operate correctly. Kristina is now up and running.

how can i import revolution slider like in demo?

kaptinlin

Hi

The Themeforest download when you unzip it has a folder called demo content. In there you find the xml file and a zip file. The latter you can use to import the demo slider within the revslider.

There is a video at http://www.strikingsupport.com/video-tutorials how all this works.

You can post a thread on our forum in case you have further questions. Thank you !

Hello. Is it possible use this demo template (with all photos and icons) and transform top menu buttons into anchor links to a one-page layout? I mean, link the menu buttons to home page sections? And if yes, how simple is this? Thanks.

kaptinlin

HI betobyron

Yes. You would use the links type custom menu option, with anchor tags in the content. I would suggest that you add a smooth scroll js as well to the theme to produce a smoother action from the menu item to the anchor text.

We even have a thread about implementing this at our support forum.

Here is an example of one page design using our theme:

Sorry about the delayed response.

i really confused how to set this and look like the demo version you have. http://demo.pickywebdesign.com/

what i feel when i download the theme and install demo data so my site should look like demo site you showing. but it look weird and so messy and i cant fix now. plz suggest what to do

kaptinlin

Hi

a) you can skype me as you are one of my skype contacts!

b) I think I replied on the forum to you some time ago – there is more then one version of the demo in the download package, and you can choose which one you install.

c) to obtain the rev slider content, install the rev slider demo, zip that is also found in the demo folder of the Themeforest download package.

Finally, I posted videos at our support site on installing both the demo content, and the rev slider demo content.

Zaib, if you have any further questions either bump your thead at the forum or skype me, just remember you and I have a significant time difference.

prepurchase question: is it possible to put multiple pins on the google map and if so, when you zoom out, do they group and display number of how many pings this group have? Can you place a text + html link in pin info?

kaptinlin

Hi Just Naughty:

Thank you for enquiring about Striking MultiFlex.

Our current integration of google maps does not provide for multiple pins. Single Marker and HTML styling for text area, but not multiple markers at this time.

This is the best WordPress template you can buy! The updates have been amazing. They even thought of things like adding the option to make the site look “Flat”. You cannot believe how much design this will help you with clients.

The documentation is very good. This template has a very easy learning curve. You can but this template and make hundreds of client websites that do not look alike.

Well done!

Hi, Is there a way to create a page template in a child theme. It doesn’t seem to be working currently. Awesome theme by the way. Thank you, Jen

kaptinlin

Hi jcjones08

We ask that you post on the dedicated support forum for Striking users found at:

http://kaptinlin.com/support/discussions

as per the support protocols we indicate in the Support tab above.

We supply a simple child theme with Striking MultiFlex built according to the codex guidelines for child themes:

http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

but as we indicate in our documentation, other then supplying a simple child, all matters regarding using a child fall into paid support, because inherently they are customization.

If you post on the forum, we will at least attempt to point you in the right direction once we have a better understanding of what you are doing, but more “direct” assistance would fall into the paid category.

Please indicate more fully on the forum what you are doing (be specific). Indicate as well that you are cross posting from the comment section here, per the support guidelines.

I should let you know that due to various other committments, support on this will likely be tomorrow, not today.

Thank you on your comments on the theme. I am actually tasked to work on the forthcoming update 1.0.3.1 which might be tomorrow, or Saturday, for release. It has some new font awesome abilities in the Font Icon Shortcode plus some misc tweaks here and there.

I am looking for a Wordpress Theme that has unlimited portfolios and parallax design. What I really need, though, is to be able to use multiple header menus. I need 4 different home pages built in to 1 site. So, users would hit the initial home page, then they would choose 3 different “locations” which would all have different menus. I need these to be 1 Wordpress Install so the locations can share some of the portfolio content, etc… Does this theme have that capability? Could it be edited to have that capability easily?

kaptinlin

Hi ThomasWalkderDesign

Thank you for inquiring into Striking MultiFlex.

1) we have unlimited portfolios, and 9 different portfolio types including a unique html “freestyle” portfolio type wherein you are not beholden to a particular layout for an item appearing in a portfolio list (ie right featured image, or left featured image, etc).

2) We do not have parallax incl in MultiFlex. Although we have great usage for creative type websites, we would estimate a good 50%+ of our business is mainstay corporate/business, and unless it is a business site oriented to a younger oreinted crowd, parallax has been widely surveyed as very unappealing to most business website visitors. So we don’t have it built in at this time. As you are likely aware there are a number of parallax scripts and plugins so if you need the ability then you can always examine incorporating one of them.

3) We do not have an inherit ability for main navigation menu’s that are page specific. That is an interesting concept. Thinking about what you are desiring, I think it could be done with MultiFlex, but it would require some customization, incl potentially some php customization. Out of the box, at this time, what you desire is not natively supported by the theme.

I do not want to mislead you. Such customization if our help were desired falls into the paid support category.

Again, thank you for enquiring into our theme.

Hi. Is there a way to put a video player on the home page in a corner? Otherwise can the portfolio support videos from YouTube? I want to have a video portfolio per year. Thank you.

kaptinlin

Hi Nicholast10

We ask that you please post on the support forum per the guidelines noted in the Support Tab at the top of this page.

The video portfolio item supports youtube, vimeo, and html5 video. The help fields provide all the information, on what each portfolio type does, and also the actual portfolio video tab in the metabox has detailed help info in the settings.

Kabezas Purchased

Hi,

there is some example of multilanguage site with RTL-LTR languages with this theme?

Regards

kaptinlin

HI Kabezas

We don’t track sites that are using our theme for RTL but we are 100% RTL. Here is some examples of both RTL and Turkish that I could recall immediately:

http://www.marketreadyenglish.com/

The above site is English and Hebrew using WPML plugin. It is a simple site as the owner deals purely with big business who don’t need fancy tricks when they hit his site, but just the facts. But we are grateful to him as he took some time recently to validate many of our RTL ablities and found a couple of small errors, which we did correct in recent builds.

This site is not RTL, but it for an institute that is part of a Akdeniz University in Turkey, but we get lots of feedback from arab users that it is useful for them to view:

http://www.mediterra.org/

Another Striking RTL site, in this case the Applied Science University in Bahrain, using Sitepress Multilingual Plugin:

http://www.asu.edu.bh/?lang=ar

We are 100% RTL capable, even having our woo customization RTL as well.

I know there are many more RTL sites out there, and it is in fact a market we are going to commence targeting actively since the feedback we have received from the above parties and others is that we are a much stronger RTL theme then most of those that advertize as being RTL first.

Thank you for inquiring into Striking MultiFlex.

MultiFlex = Your Site Your Way!

I just gotta say I love the flexibility of Striking Multiflex. I just built three websites with this theme:

You will not find a better theme out there. I feel the only element missing from this theme is the ability to add full width sections (beyond 960px) anywhere on the page along with some parallax effects. That would be the icing on the cake!

Daniel.

elbisnero

Sorry about that, wpmobilize was not built with Multiflex, only the other two websites were. It’s still a kickass theme. Great Job :)

kaptinlin

Hi elbisnero

It is lovely to see a fellow developer using our theme, and we wish you the best of luck with your plugins. They look fine, and I love your use of colors on your sites.

We are working on some new projects, and I would ask that you contact me at the forum using the private messaging, as we are always interested in supporting new developers. Perhaps we might examine the possibility of extended licensing for use within a theme?

You can contact me at your leisure. Please use the forum messaging, not email.

This is the best theme for WP, hands down. It has EVERYTHING you need, already built into the theme. You don’t have to go searching for different plugins. It is responsive for all platforms and works great. Admin support and the forums are top notch and they care about their product. Support is truly amazing. If you buy one theme for your WP site, it should be this one.

Hi,

First, thank you for this theme, it is the best I have purchased !

Can you help me to understand : I try to update my theme from the version 1.0.1 to 1.0.3, and when I activate the new version, all my images no longer appear.. What can I do to repair that ? (I had to downgrade my theme’s version) Many thanks in advance

kaptinlin

HI Sitadi

Thank you for your comment about MultiFlex.

It sounds to me like one you updated to 1.0.3 all you needed to do was to go to the Advanced Panel -> Clear Cache Setting and toggle it ON, and save. Once a user updates, they have to flush the temporary “on-th-fly” theme cache. This is outlined in the documentation sections on updating the theme.

As well, perhaps you should review the 1st and 2nd comments in this thread:

http://kaptinlin.com/support/discussion/10772/available-striking-multiflex-ecommerce-responsive-release-1-0-3-april-18-2014

as it contains very detailed step by step instructions on updating to 1.0.3.

Should you have any issues after updating (and remember to clear the Striking Cache after updating!) then I ask that you post at the support forum, and one of our support team will assist you. And please, do not downgrade! We will respond quickly and check out where you have gone astray.

Do not post here, as we check this site about once daily, whereas the dedicated support forum is monitored several times daily.

Hello KaptinLin,

Awesome theme you got there! Bought it a while back, didn’t know much about WordPress, and now that I know more, I LOVE IT!

You mention in your demo content help file about hosting companies. You also mention that the one you deal with is the best for WordPress… :-D Which one is that? I currently use one of the ones you mention, but with VPS. Hope you can guide me with that ;-)

Regards,

Paul

kaptinlin

Hi Paul

The one we deal with is our own! Yes, we own our own premium WP hosting company. We got tired of crappy hosting with crappy hosting companies with dismal core php variable settings, crappy admins, etc.

Our hosting would be considered business class. It employs server side caching (no caching plugin needed), has automated backups (no backup plugin necessary), and both wp and the theme are preinstalled when hosting is purchased! It has full cpanel for hosting admin, and email (https as well).

We are revamping some aspects of our hosting, and it will be re-available to the public in the near future. Our own sites are on our servers.

Keep an eye on our support forum for future details.

Revolution Slider Error: If you want to use the PHP function “putRevSlider” in your code please make sure to check ” Include RevSlider libraries globally (all pages/posts) ” in the backend’s “General Settings” (top right panel).

Or add the current page to the “Pages to include RevSlider libraries” option box.

i am getting this error. plz tell me how to fix this

kaptinlin

HI Zaib Khan

This is actually not really an “error” but rather the Revolution Slider’s way of saying to you “hey, you have a choice, do you want to load the slider scripts globally or per page?”. It shows as an “error” only because you did not go to the Revolution Slider Global Settings and make a choice yet. The error is that you did not choose prior to implementing a slideshow.

May I ask why you did not go to the Support Forum? We have a sticky thread under All Discussions for this very matter:

http://kaptinlin.com/support/discussion/10171/updated-feb-21-2014-the-revolution-slider-and-our-support-plus-tips-settings-etc-

which even details for you with pictures, exactly what to do.

I suggest you visit the thread, as this is very straightforward to implement.

HI! So stoked with your theme!!!

Do you have theme training videos – some of the things are above me and I’m a watch-and-do kind of guy….

Thanks!

kaptinlin

HI

If you click on the Help Tab of any of the Striking Panels when you are in the theme, you will see a link to our support video page.

I plan on releasing more videos in the forthcoming days, as we have just finished the coding for an update Ver 1.0.3.1. There are some nice new features.

You can also ask questions at our support forum.

Yes, MultiFlex has a huge array of options, but the help fields are generally quite detailed, and most settings you do not need to touch until you choose to “customize”.

I am going to make a sincere effort to have some new vids on the weekend, which I hope will help.

Thank you for your purchase of our theme..

kaptinlin

Thank you for purchasing. A bit behind on the vids as we have released a beta of the next build, so still focused on coding for the update. But they are on the way.

I want to upload the demo content via FTP as wordpress will not let me import it through the site. Where in the file structure do I upload the demo? Thanks

kaptinlin

Hi mtntownmedia

In the themeforest package, after you have unpacked it go to the demo folder, which has both short and long form demo content (review the txt file).

Its not “WP” that is preventing you from installing, but rather your host server php variables. If you failed to install the demo content using the “One Touch” demo content install feature (Advanced Panel) and you also tried the WP Importer Plugin and it still failed, I would be very concerned about my host where I in your shoes, as the first implication is that they have either an old version of php, or highly restrictive php settings. Either of these conditions comes with many potential future issues for you.

If you have any further questions regarding this matter, I ask that you please, per the notes we have in the Support Tab above, post at our dedicated support forum. We do not provide support via the comment section here at Themeforest.

MultiFlex = Your Site Your Way!

hey there :-) the theme seems awesome… just a couple of pre-sale questions regarding multisite issues:

- does the theme include a user registration form for a multisite (including the option to create a new sub-domain)? - does the theme supports sitewide taxonomies, and content croadcasting (to main site) out of the box or should i integrate plugins to do that?

and a couple of none-multisite issues: - is it possible to control the layout of the portfolio grids? (for example – display additional fields such as author name, category, excerpt, etc.)? - is it possible to add an image to categories and display a category grid?

would appreciate your reply… Yair

kaptinlin

Hi yarilevy,

Thank you for inquiring into Striking MultiFlex.

We have created no special registration forms and rely on the default wp registration system.

In respect of taxonomies, I think you mean multi-site wide taxonomies, and the answer is no, we do not. Categories and taxonomies are restricted to each subsite. There is plugins for this. We also have custom code available for separate purchase which can pull posts across subsites for post widgets.

Our single portfolio post support an about author box, and recent and related posts box. We also support the excerpt field, so you can have customized descriptive text/content for portfolio lists.

All portfolio posts have substitute image abilities, and options to disable the featured image on the single post page. We also support dual linking in portfolio lists, so the title can link to the single post (as can the featured image if this is desired), and the read more link elsewhere.

Single portfolio items can be added to the WP menu, but we do not support at this time portfolio categories in the wp menu, nor a featured image for a category. I dont think it would be very difficult to add this, but we don’t provide for it at this time.

In respect of portfolio meta, our portfolio items support titles, excerpt content and read more (each is optional) but not post meta. As our portfolio excerpt field supports shortcodes, you could create a custom meta like appearence code block and use it in each excerpt field. At this time we do not naturally meta our portfolio posts in the way we meta our blog posts. Its not a bad idea, but we have not had any demand for this to this point.

Our portfolio options are actually extremely expansive – we support 9 different portfolio types including something brand new and unique to our theme, a pure html type portfolio item -> this means the portfolio list item appearence can be entirely custom content per item rather then having to conform to the typical options of a right/left/center aligned featured image with title, read more, excerpt, all appearing in set locations.

I hope this covered off your questions. Again thank you for your interest in our theme. We have an update coming out this week with some new settings and features, and are about to significantly revamp our poor old demo, which has been sadly ignored and is quite out of date in respect of all the theme functions and abilities.

BTW, we support hatom/microformat for even our custom post type. Its built right into the theme core code.

Best Regards
