`hi, I’m trying to build a form with currency that adds up.. I have installed Form builder and purchased the Form builder pro but the form builder pro will not activate.. Please help.. .Thank you :-)

HI

We were watching for you to post at our support forum as per our support policy above. Although normally most 3rd party plugin matters fall into paid support, to hear that a plugin does not even activate is extremely unusual – I do not recall such ever happening in the past. Particularly as we are a very plugin friendly theme and our forum has a thread where hundreds of plugins are confirmed compatible by users.

When you post at our support forum with more details and your url, we will try to point you in the correct direction. I am not at all sure at this time that the matter is theme related, but we can check this out once you forum post.

Hi, Thanks for the great theme. I am having an issue where the evolution slider overlaps onto the sidebar when I set the homepage to right sidebar. How would I get the slider to sit above the content when it’s set to right sidebar?

kaptinlin

HI Netvisionz

I will direct you to post on our support forum for follow up, but if you have created a revolution slideshow, then here is some info which I hope will help:

1) If using the homepage panel for the website home, go to the Homepage SlideShow admin tab, and the last setting is Revolution Sliders. Select your slideshow from the dropdown list in this setting, and it will appear in the feature header area just as it does in the demo.

2) If using a static page (ie a custom page which you have designated to be the home page of the site) go to the Page General Options metabox found below the WP editor, and in the Feature Header Settings admin tab are the settings for designating the feature header to hold a slideshow, set the revolution slider as the slideshow type, and select your revolution slideshow.

The feature header area sits above the content and sideabar areas, as is seen on almost all the pages of the demo.

If you need any further assistance please post at the forum. There is also both threads with pictures illustrating what I referenced above, and a video at:

http://www.strikingsupport.com/video-tutorials

on installing our custom revolution slider demo content, which includes actually activating the content in the feature header area.

From one Canadian to another, thanks for the comment about the theme quality – hopefully you can find your way to giving us a five star rating!

Thanks this really helped.

Hi, Pre purchase question can my graphic design can be apply on you theme including the big image in the header and the menu the header:http://prntscr.com/3vbu1k the rest of the home page:http://prntscr.com/3vbu80 thx

kaptinlin

HI

The header background image can be applied using the background functions within the theme.

The menu background and menu style is more reminiscent of megamenu type appearence. The yellow bar extending underneath the top level menu items when a sub menu item is active is not a background but typically accomplished by css. But you would have to customize our css, and I cannot say off the top of my head that any of us have ever tried this appearence, so I can provide no guarantees.

I did not see anything about the page body other then that it had no shadows or gradients, which we have settings to remove.

If I missed something please advise back.

Thank you for your interest in Striking MultiFlex.

HI hikaye

Just a heads up that we did not get to this yet, as we first always prioritize support requests of existing users, and we had quite a few newbies in the last couple of days who needed usage guidance on features, and in many cases even basic wp functions that had nothing to do with the theme.

But I do expect we will get to it within the next 24 hrs. It is on our work docket.

Hi hikaye

Ok, PolyLang is working in Striking MultiFlex. In fact, it appears it was always working, but our lack of knowledge is why the language switcher widget was not displaying – ee did not have our quickie test pages set up correctly.

So the language widget does display.

I have to say I find this a very awkward language plugin. Hopefully you know how to use it correctly. It could just be lack of familiarity, or we are used to the more robust features and methods of WPML.

Just updated recently to Responsive WP Theme and seems that I’m missing all my photo previews. They just show a magnifying glass.

How do I get them back?

Hi Matt

Please go to the MultiFlex Advanced Panel and use the setting to clear your cache.

This is outlined in the update instructions at the forum.

Hi, I have inherited webmaster responsibilities in an executive director change of website using Striking 2.2.3

This site is not loaded with plugins but looks like nothing ever updated since day 1, needs jetpack update and WP update to 3.9 for security. Can you adevise: what is best way to handle? THX – E

kaptinlin

HI Elad

Yes, however, you are going to need to find the original purchase key which should be in the original download package from Themeforest. It is only possible to assist you if you can access the original purchase key. You may have to write to Themeforest on this matter if you cannot locate it.

Once you have located it, please go to our Support Forum and register. One of the forum threads has a link to the latest version of the non-responsive form of Striking (Ver 5.2.2.2) for users who do not wish to switch to MultiFlex (which is a free update for all former Striking users):

Striking 5.2.2.2 Forum Thread

Should you need any further assistance on the matter please post in that thread, and one of our support team will assist you.

Love the theme but I can’t get the wordpress menu to work correctly. I go to appearance/menus and select the custom menu I have made, check the navigation boxes at the bottom of the page and click save. The menu stays a default menu. I have gone to the managed location tab and set those, still the menu is not set. I made sure the active wordpress custom menu is on. What am I missing?

Thanks

kaptinlin

Hi trobh1963

In the Striking General Panel -> Navigation Menu Options tab is a setting Activate Wordpress Custom Menu Functionality. Can you please check to see if you have it set to “ON”.

There are not any issues or bugs with navigation reported by the user base (its a pretty large userbase so we would have heard plenty on this by now were it the case given its fundemental nature! ) so I think it is likely that setting, and if not, then something else is awry that is particular to your site (conflicting plugin, etc).

Check the setting first and reply below. But if any futher assistance is required, I ask that you go to our Support Forum (see the instructions in the Support Tab above) and we will be pleased to assist you there. We don’t provide theme support here for the reasons noted in the Support tab.

Thanks James, This is one reason I chose this theme… support! I appreciate your quick reply. I have checked the custom setting and it is on. I think I might reload the site from FTP and see it that helps. If not i will go to the support forums. Thanks again. I really love the theme.

kaptinlin

Yes. Try reinstalling. If that does not do the trick then post the url in a thread and I will surf over and check it out with our developer tools. I assume you turned off plugins to confirm no conflict although that would be extremely unusual in any case. I am assuming you are using 1.0.3 (or the latest 1.0.3.1 beta) and wp 3.9+.

Thanks for the compliments on our theme.

Hi, I was wondering, is there a pricing table functionality in this theme? If not, what is the most compatible plugin for this purpose?

kaptinlin

Hi netvisionz

Here we have simple pricing tables built using theme functions, and you can click on “Get the Code” toggles to copy and paste code into your page editor, and then adjust dialog and style to your needs:

http://kaptinlin.com/themes/strikingr/pages/pricing/

I believe Easy Pricing Tables in the wp free plugin library works fine with the latest version of MultiFlex as do several of the codecanyon plugins. If it does not, post in the support forum. Also, install the latest beta as it has some code updates.

Liking the look of this theme. What slider is your demo site set up with…? And does it come with it build in or do I have to get that slider myself?

kaptinlin

Hi

All the sliders you see in the demo are included in the theme – they are built. The sliders included are:

1) Revolution Slider (premium plugin)
2) Ken Burner Slider (premium script)
3) Fotorama Slider (same slider as used at wikipedia and flickr)
4) Roundabout Slider
5) Nivo Slider
6) Accordion Slider (premium script)

4 of the above sliders are available by shortcode as well (#1,2,3,5).

Ok, I can understand how versioning is confusing. And you have to know a bit about the theme’s history.

This theme was first released in 2010 as a non-responsive theme (all themes were non-responsive at that time) and our theme name was Striking Portfolio and Corporate Premium WP Theme. Over the years we continually released updates – in fact we have one of the best reputations for updating and support in the entire WP world. The last version of Striking Portfolio (which we eventually got to calling “Striking Regular” denoting it was not responsive) was version 5.2.2.2.

There are still users on that last non-responsive version, and we still support it via our support forum (ver 5.2.2.3 is coming out in 3 days in fact!) but it is no longer available for sale as the majority of the wordpress world has moved now to responsive themes.

In February this year, after a long beta test period (we ran a beta responsive test program with our users obtaining feedback for over a year and that you may see some reference to in past comments/remarks – called “Striking Responsive”) we update our “old” theme to “Striking MultiFlex & Ecommerce” . Although this is almost entirely a new theme in respect of its coding with hundreds of new features, instead of selling it as a new theme, we substituted it in place of Striking Portfolio.

So our entire user base obtained a brand new theme, and did not have to pay for it. And they did not lose any of their old work – we wrote code in the theme so that all their settings and shortcodes, etc were read and transmuted to the new settings. So updating was a 5 minute process and the user base was very, very happy!

Typically switching themes is an incredibly onerous and nerve wracking process, often involving weeks of preparation and work.

Releasing as an update hurt us big time financially of course. Themeforest gives no recognition or exposure to themes that update, in fact they prefer the opposite, that major updates be released as new themes (their goal is to increase the size of the marketplace). But we felt we owed our loyal client base and so the responsive version was released as an update, rather then a new theme.

As for version numbers, its simple, as its sequential. When you see 3 and 4 digit version numbers, it just indicates a minor update release.

So 1.0 is initial 1.0.1 is subsequent 1.0.0.1 is subsequent

all software works that way. When you see 3 and 4 decimal version numbers, it indicates that the release mainly dealt with either bugs, or extension of existing features. Technically, the last release should have returned to 1.1 (which is the next gradation up) as it had some significant updates to major features – such as the “html portfolio” but we simply forgot.

So the next update (coming out this weekend – we have been sitting on it for awhile) will be version 1.1. And then we will get into 1.1.0.1, etc, all over again.

Hope this explains all!

Great reply thanks.. definitely getting this theme

What I was refering to when I said this In fact on here you go from Striking MultiFlex Versions 1.0.2.1, 1.0.2.2 ,1.0.2.3 & 1.0.2.4 – March 29/31, April 6 & 10, 2014

to Striking MultiFlex Versions 1.0. April 18, 2014

is because you have listed on this site version 1.0 as a new version, where is fact I see it maybe should have been version 1.0.3as your site says “APRIL 18, 2014 – STRIKING MULTIFLEX & ECOMMERCE RESPONSIVE WP THEME 1.0.3 APPROVED BY THEMEFOREST”

Thanks.. *

kaptinlin

HI Wealthyone

Aha! Thanks – you actually found a typo! We missed a decimal in that sentence! It should read “1.0.3 April 18…”

I have corrected.

Thank you. See, you are already contributing! FYI, many, many features contained within Striking MultiFlex are the results of suggestions by theme owners.

Hi, Pre purchase question, is it easy to modify the code of the theme to make the logo appear on the right side instead of the left. thanks

kaptinlin

Hi f100f2

I have to ask a question – is this for an RTL site, or is it that you wish simply to move the logo to the other side.

It can be repositioned by css, yes. But, do you know how to do responsive css (ie. by media query)? Because in a responsive website all “positioning” css has to specify viewport.

So how “easy” this will be will depend on your knowledge base. We do have numerouse threads on the forum which have code for centering the logo in responsive, and moving it further to the left is just an extension of that code.

If your site is an RTL site (say hebrew or arabic) the logo is naturally positioned on the left -> all theme elements realign when the native dashboard language is RTL as we are a 100% capable RTL theme (well, at least 99%+ as there might be some element no one has discovered yet that is not correct…...).

I am trying to upload and install the theme from the zip file. I have tried 3 times and I get a message each time saying “Are you sure you want to do this?” and then “Try again”.

Nothing actually gets installed.

kaptinlin

Hi

Although we ask all users to go to our support forum for usage questions (please see the Support Tab above for where, and why), I will advise it sounds to me like you are perhaps trying to install the whole Themeforest zip you downloaded? This message is common in that instance, as the Themeforest package has to be unpacked to get at the “striking_r.zip” which is what should be uploaded if using the WP install theme function.

Another issue could simply be that the “striking_r.zip” is to big to be installed by the wp function. This can happen on some shared hosting services -> its not common, but it could be that your host has very small allowable upload sizes.

You can of course install it the “old fashioned” way which is by ftp, which was how themes were installed and/or updated until recently.

IF you need further assistance with this matter, I have to direct you to our Support Forum. Pls register (takes 30 seconds and you need your purchase code – follow this link to find out how to obtain it at Themeforest: http://www.strikingsupport.com/license-certificate ) and then post a thread describing your situation requesting assistance.

Hi,

Actually I now believe the problem is with the hosting provider as i had the same issue happen on another account with them using a different theme. I was using the correct zip file as I have done this many times.

I am talking to the hosting provider now since I am sure it is theirissue, not yours.

Thank you.

I did install it manually and everything is fine. Somehow the hosting settings seem to be blocking the wordpress auto installer. They are looking into it.

Hello,

My apologies if this has already been answered…

How can I make the image gallery sorting feature go faster? It’s very slow right now.

Hi this theme was working great for a year and all of a sudden it has broken and my site will not load. Not sure what is going on, tried re-downloading and installing the theme but it still doesn’t work. My site is nutritionistaustin.com

thanks

kaptinlin

Hi phhale

Well, the per the instructions in the Support Tab above, you should go post a thread at the support forum. When things break “all of the sudden” there has to be a reason. One of the support team members will query you, but you should also provide more info on what you mean by “broken’.

But the site I went to does not seem to be a Striking site unless there has been some customization of it. Do you have a child theme in place perhaps. And was the site originally Striking or Striking MultiFlex.

Please provide as much info as possible in your thread at the support forum.

Can a license for the “Striking Theme” (versus “Striking Multflex Theme”) still be purchased?

I am involved in the redesign/revision of an existing site that used the Striking theme, but we do not have access to the “certificate” (issues of no interest). The current release of Striking on the site is 4.0.3… it needs upgrading.

I assume that if we purchased a license, I could install the upgraded theme and (having noted all the settings of the original theme), activate the upgraded theme, recreate the settings and have the site functioning, more or less unchanged. Is this correct?

What is the current support policy with respect to the Striking theme? Will all users of the theme be expected to upgrade to Striking Multiflex?

Default-user

Ummm. It left out a whole paragraph when I submitted! That was the question: “Can one still purchase a license for the Striking (versus Striking Multiflex) theme?”

kaptinlin

Hi

Striking is no longer for sale. We do in fact maintain support for Striking for an owner, but if you cannot provide a valid license certificate you would have to repurchase the theme. We would then make Striking 5.3 available to you. It is obtained via our Support Forum.

One can also switch quite seamlessly from striking to striking multiflex. We wrote scripts so that the striking settings are read and applied to the similar functions in Striking MultiFlex. There is a very small amount of tweaking sometimes necessary, but this mainly has to do with any custom css a user might have, since all positional css in a responsive theme of course is by viewport (media query). We have a tutorial video for the switch.

Is there a way to change the font in the menu to a google font??

Thanks!

kaptinlin

Hi Marie

Of course! Use of the fonts including customizing is described in the help fields within the theme, and also in the documentation. As well, the support forum has plenty of threads on usage of fonts for purposes such as this.

I suggest you give the help fields in the Font Panel a quick review – the Google Font Custom CSS field help text in fact has an example of applying the font only to some navigation.

Should you have any further questions in this regards please post at our support forum as this is where all theme support is provided.
