MultiFlex = Your Site Your Way!
Hello, can u help me how to setup slideshow at my page with revolutions slider? i try so many time too fix it
I ask that you go to the support forum and post your question at it, as this is where we deal with all support matters. The link is found in the Support Tab above.
MultiFlex = Your Site Your Way!
Hello I have the original striking theme which I love and have no problems what so ever! My only problem is that my WP Easycart is not compatible with the original 3.5.1 version of wordpress I am using with the striking theme. Can I update my current wordpress version to the latest available with my original striking theme or striking multiflex? What is the best possible way to go about this?
The only reason I am asking is because I have been told if I update my wordpress version it could break my site…....
Who told you that and why?
I do not know what version of Striking original you are running. I suggest you register at the Striking Support Forum:
version 5.3 seems to be missing the Revolution slider.
Version 5.3 is the update of the original Striking theme and does not contain the Revolution Slider. All of this is explained on the support forum as is how to update to Striking MultiFlex which does contain the Rev Slider. Please see the Support Tab above for more information.
When I try and activate the plugin, I get the following message:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class UniteFunctionsRev in /nfs/c11/h02/mnt/192225/domains/domainname.com/html/wp-content/plugins/revslider/inc_php/framework/functions.class.php on line 3”
Kindly help and assist
Did I not see a post from you on another matter recently at the support forum? Why post here when the theme support is at the forum?
Please cross post on the support forum, and if I may ask, is this error stemming from loading the plugin externally? Striking 5.3 or Striking MultiFlex, version of WP, etc.
Sincere apologies, I will be creating a ticket on there.
dual maps not working?
Per our support policy please post any questions you may have about usage at our support forum, the link is found in the Support Tab above.
In your thread at the forum please advise what you mean by “dual maps” not working as it is not clear what you mean. Please post a link to your site page in the thread as well, if possible.
There are no restrictions on the number of google maps one may have in a page. Here is a page in the demo containing several gmaps in the header, sidebar , page content and footer content:
ehh. you guys have the correct intentions, there are just a lot of variables that can knock other things out
Are those external variables? None from within the theme of which we are aware.
Hope you grabbed ver 1.1.
have a weird problem here:
i want my submenu background color to be #397a5d
the most left sub level of main menuitem http://tzofim.domysite.nl/nl/ is perfect, but the submenu of top left menuitem http://tzofim.domysite.nl/he/ is transparent.
tried all the css tricks i found here, but to no success.
i have WPML installed here.
Please include in your forum thread the versions of WP, MultiFlex, WPML you are using.
At the support forum you can also find MultiFlex 220.127.116.11 version and you can install it. But I think the issue you are having, which I have not seen in any other rtl site, is not theme related. We don’t have any reports from other users on the issue you are having.
So an option you can try to see if the matter is plugin related is to turn off all your other plugins (don’t turn off wpml), see if the menu is restored, and then turn them on one by one.
BTW, you have to be using the latest version of wpml. IF you are using the older free version that was last available at wordpress.org, it is not wp 3.9 or multiflex compatible. You have to be using the current release version from wpml.org.
Please advise back in the forum thread you create.
copy-ing rtl.css from striking_r folder to root of child theme did solve my problem.
Thanks Paul from Kaptinlin support!
WP in fact has, in our opinion, an error in the way it calls for rtl css when a child theme is loaded. All other theme css can sit in the parent theme, but the function call for rtl requires it be in the loaded child, when in fact it should follow the behaviour of all other theme css.
As child usage with rtl is uncommon (and most themes do not even have childs) we never happened across this matter in the past. While we could bundle the rtl.css in the child – the solution we gave you, I think a simple line of code added to the child functions will make it unnecessary.
When I release Striking 5.3.1 you will see what permanent method decided upon, in the changelog.
Thank you for cross posting at the support forum. That is the place all theme usage questions should go, and as you saw, we tackle them quickly.
I used the earlier version of striking and it was working perfectly. Suddenly my video lightbox stopped working. I had a page with vimeo albums which were showed in a frame. Now after the wordpress upgrade i am seeing only one video from the album. I investigated and it seems like a theme issue. Will buying this 5.3 version resolve my issue ? My website is www.crackverbal.com. We use sliders. Will that stop working after my upgrade?
It sounds like you have a mismatch between your Striking Version and your WP version.
You do not need to “buy” the latest version. All updates are always free.
Please post at the support forum (link is in the Support Tab above) indicating the versions of wp and Striking you are currently running, and a team member will assist you.
Hi kaptinlin, my WP version is 4.0 and striking theme version is the one before 5.3.1 i guess. As when i try to upgrade it is asking for a purchase code ?
https://www.sendspace.com/file/9hkx19 is the page where you can see the problem
I’ve used the Striking Theme on a couple of customers sites, I had 2 more clients that wanted sites built from viewing the 2 sites I have up.
Is Striking really being discontinued?
Will support for future WP updates be available?
Do you have a similar theme to suggest for my next purchase?
Striking MultiFlex is not being discontinued. The original Striking theme (which was non-responsive) is deprecated, with Striking MultiFlex taking its place. This is all explained in great detail in the Striking support forum in the release threads.
Any user who was using the original Striking (also known as Striking Portfolio Premium WP Theme) is able to update to Striking MultiFlex for free -> what we did is we simply replaced one theme with another in our account here at Themeforest.
From a user perspective, effectively they got a new theme for free! Any of your customers still on Striking can just log into their Themeforest account, go to their downloads page, and download Striking MultiFlex – that is what will show now in their purchase section. We have instructions on the forum about how to update and the steps involved.
As well, we recognize that some customers, for varying reasons, cannot update from Striking to Striking MultiFlex (they may have custom code which needs to be modified for responsiveness first, etc). So we are continuing to support Striking Original with updates which are available via the internal update function within the theme. So if you have a site that has Striking 18.104.22.168 installed for example, in the dashboard there would be a notification indicating Ver 5.3 is available for install. We release these updates via our own api.
We will continue to support Striking original until we see no more users are updating via our Update API. In fact, we are in the process of releasing Striking Ver 5.3.1 and the update notification should propogate shortly…...
As Striking original is deprecated (ie it is no longer being sold) our support in respect of updates is focused on maintaining compatibility with WP updates. So when WP updates, we will make certain the theme functions work in the new WP version. But, as the theme is deprecated, we are not attempting to add any new functionality to Striking Original. For that, users should switch (again, I note this is free!!!! ) to Striking MultiFlex.
So when WP updates to ver 4.0, we would also update Striking Original (in fact we have already tested with WP beta4 and it seems so far that all is good).
So I am unclear on where you heard “Striking” is being discontinued, and perhaps the confusion is on which “version” : Original vs MultiFlex.
Sam, I suggest you log into the forum and send me a personal message via the forum messaging feature (find my name in a thread and click on it, and then you will see a link to send me a personal message which is also private) and include your skype id, and I will contact you on Skype and we can speak directly.
Don’t worry! Nothing is kaput, far from it in fact…..
That was totally my fault for not reading it closer. I do apologize. Rereading it, it makes perfect sense. I’ll be purchasing 2 more in the very near future for clients. Thanks so much for such a rapid response and your support.
Your welcome Same!
I bought a website that uses your theme.
I need support for it please.
Could you please take a look
I have tried several adsense plugins and none works.
also need minor css change.
Could you offer support for it?
I can pay for your services
Yes, we can provide paid support for you on matters. Do you have a skype id?
If so, please email it to support @ striking support . com
(without all those spaces which are to deter bots).
Do you know if the license for the site is even legal? When you bought the website the seller should have provided you the purchase code for the theme.
Its evening my time on Sunday, so you are welcome to reply here as well as sending the email, but be advised we won’t be replying until Monday.
Bought the theme, I like it alot,
but I can’t seem to find the revolution slider on the homepage..
Thank you for your purchase of Striking MultiFlex.
Are you using the Homepage Panel or have you created a custom home page for the site?
In the Homepage Panel, there is an admin tab Homepage Slideshow and you will see the last setting in it is for the Revolution Slider. You have to have created some slides first in the plugin, and you will see the plugin showing in the wp admin menu.
If using a custom page, where do you want the revolution slider? In the feature header area or in the page body. If the feature header Area use the Feature Header Settings in the Page General Options metabox (it is below the wp content editor) to set the slider. The slider settings are towards the bottom of that admin tab.
IF you are still not on track, then time for you to follow the instructions in the Support Tab above (and in the theme itself), which are to go to our support forum, register (takes 30 seconds) and create a new thread requesting assistance.
A support team person will assistance you not long thereafter.
I upgraded the theme, and now I see this option.
Is it possible to use the slider when the home page is a post category, or a posts page?
The Rev Slider has in its options the ability to pull posts.
I would ask if you have any further questions, or need assistance with usage, that you please post at the support forum, per our support policy. The reasons for such are indicated in the Support Tab above.
This Striking Multiflex theme is by far the BEST, most versatile and design-able theme I have ever used.
I have used many other themes but none compare to this themes abilities, flexibility in mobile and regular browsing, including its awesome plugin use and compatibility options.
I have used this for my clients through and through, and after everything I show them, this is what I recommend and this is what they like.
I don’t plan to go anywhere else, when building a WP site. This will be the only theme I would ever use, and I recommend to anyone looking for a theme that is everything you need.
I still have more to do with this theme before I can fully tap into its potential for design.
Thanks Kaptinlin team, you guys are awesome!
Kappy saw your reply, and he and all of us on the team appreciate your kind words in respect of Striking MultiFlex.
Hi one pre-purchase question.
Do you support BuddyPress and BuddyDrive and do you have any demo or screenshot to show the layout of it?
Its funny you ask about that as our next update Ver 1.1 about to be released early next week has new good customization for Buddypress’s sister plugin bbPress. We have BuddyPress active as well, but I have to confess we have not used it in a dogs age, so we are having to work through its options again.
We normally recommend WP Symposium Pro to users as it is much superior.
I have no screenshots of BuddyPress as we will be working through it this weekend to retest and confirm. I do not see any errors in our developer consoles, which is a good start, and we are 100% bbPress compatible (plus some lovely unique customizations we dreamed up) so I am hoping we have no BuddyPress matters.
I have to say BuddyPress and bbPress are very unimpressive plugins. But we have decided to do our new support forum for Striking MultiFlex in them in order to demonstrate compatibility, so even though I think they are the sort of product stemming from programmers who operate at the kindergarten level, I am grinding my teeth and bearing it.
I do thank you for your interest in our theme.
before buy : can i use this theme to my unlimited domain? sorry i still don’t understand about the license.
Can i update automatically this theme inside the WP dashboard? or must update manually?
can i use this theme to my unlimited domain? sorry i still don’t understand about the license.
Can i update automatically this theme inside the WP dashboard?
Yes, this theme can be updated from within the theme portion of the dashboard.
Thank you for inquiring into Striking MultiFlex.
I need to activate my responsive site, but Striking Miltiflex does not support Adaptable Adsense code. Are you going to do something about it?
... I was referring to “Home Page”.
James tell me you give a 1 star rating for feature we never even have in theme. You not post on support forum although have acct at forum and last use 2+ years ago, ignore themeforest guidelines for rating system, etc. I agree with James you have not good moral intent as no other explanation for your action.
No. I not intend to do anything about add adsense ability in Striking MultiFlex. Have never advertized any such ability as native function to Striking Original/Striking MultiFlex. There good plugins for this which if you have ask at forum, we would have recommend. Feel adsense best managed by dedicated plugin, since google change adsense very often. This also how wordpress want it managed, by plugin. We agree.
Ask that you remove fraud rating, and we assist you at forum.
Remove rating. After we provide good support as always do and well known. And post at forum, as that is where support provide – is in Support Tab above directions, and even in Item Details, and in theme download readme.txt, how often must post for you to grasp?
English not my first language, but I very dissappoint abuse like this. I remember, i help you for free in 2011 with adsense question for Striking original when should have charged as not theme core relate. This how you respond. Sad.
I ask James and Paul to assist if you fix, and post proper at support forum. They will suggest, bur per support policy, this not core theme. Please read support policy – http://www.strikingsupport.com/video-tutorials – also has pdf documents on support, usage, etc.
True, this theme does not offer support for AdSense, but should. I will remove the star in my rating, but not to accept his blackmail. Your theme does not interest me, sorry.
In your opinion it should. Ours is that adsense should be handled as wordpress prefers management of this feature type, which is by plugin. We follow the wp convention on this. One can seek a theme that does different, it is the developer’s choice on what wp conventions they follow in theme building.
Striking MultiFlex passes 100% the WP Theme Checklist (all 31 categories) as we follow wordpress conventions.
Blackmail? You rated the theme not according to the Themeforest rating guidelines, but solely as it lacked one feature you desire. And said “so are you going to do something about it?”.
If the lack of a particular feature were the criteria for rating a theme, every single theme would have a 1 star rating as each lacks at least 1 feature found in another!
Furthermore, you could have asked on the forum, for which you are a member, and have received free support in the past, on alternatives to management of google adsense, for which their are excellent plugins. But you did not.
KaptinLin had every right to be upset. You followed neither the Themeforest guidelines or the support guidelines.
We thank you for amending the rating. Were you to post at the support forum you would be assisted. If you choose to move onto another theme that is your perogative. Few if any have our overall theme flexibility, customizability, mobile functionality and plugin compatibility but perhaps you do not need any of that if you are running an advertizing site with a goal to generate click through income. Our product is oriented towards users who need a personal or business site for presenting themselves to the world.
Hi Kaptinlin, I am one of your oldest customer and visited item after few years but i regret, i am not using striking on a single project. its 2014 and striking doesn’t have PageBuilder even Yet!!. i tried dozens of themes but hardly any theme caused flexibility issue with Layout Builders or overhead issues on frontend as you mentioned on other comments. If time is constraint for you to develop custom builder, don’t be embarrassed to bundle an existing codecanyon item? Pardon my blunt criticism but i am just trying to be honest. Striking is THE BEST thing i’ve ever encountered but lack of one simple feature is why i am not using it even Yet.
Give my regards to James.
I think it has been a little while since I have seen you pop up. I hope you have been keeping well. I believe you have my skype id so you can skype me if you wish, otherwise send me a pm at the forum with your skype id.
We understand your desire. We are not believers in having a page builder integrated in the theme. We may change our mind at some point in the future, but at this time, we prefer to have Striking MultiFlex operate on the basis of our admin and its native abilities, which are immense – as you noted it is “the best thing you have ever encountered”......
If one desires a page builder, we do know visual composer works fine in MultiFlex, and from our perspective, let the developer earn his money for his product. Products on Themeforest are so inexpensive that it seems to us it is only fair to reward the developers for their work.
It should be remembered if you recall any of my past posts on the support forum on the updating subject, that when we upgraded Striking to Striking MultiFlex, our initial goal was simply to give our past faithful and loyal customer base an update path to a responsive site without having to incur the cost of a new theme. In effect, we gave them a new theme (MultiFlex) based on responsive framework, for free.
In the end, we did far more then a straight conversion, but literally upgraded the capabilities by more then double. For users like you who bought at the original pricing in the $35-$40 range years ago, this has been a deal beyond comparison.
Even with the new version release 1.1 we have continued that support ethos.
It is well understood by us that your “criticism” is intended in it’s true definition – a critique and suggestion, not an insult. You now have yet more background on our position. Its not yours but it is equally valid.
By the way, the plugin does add to the burden. I will have posted on the forum shortly the newest images of our default iniital burden and our results for themechecks. When I have time next week I will also do some with the composer added.
Currently, the default initial burden of Striking MultiFlex is 12 requests and 332kb. It is lower then even the default wp 2014 theme by 80kb of data! That is incredible result, given that out of the box our default ability provides 10,000% more functionality.
I doubt any other premium wp theme (or any other kind) in the world has that low a burden. I have the results for the top selling theme with a composer in it, and it imposes 30 initial requests and over 600kb in intial burden. The moment even one thing is done, the burden rises to over 1.0 mb with many more requests. Sorry, that is just not of any interest to us. We are just not prepared to inflict that sort of damage on our userbase as a requirement just “to get out of the gate”.
Its one thing when it is an optional element such as the Rev Slider, which as an html slider imposes a burden, but optional. Its another to impose it just in order for the theme to operate. Nope! Not at this time.
Anyways some thoughts on the matter from our perspective. Look forward to hearing from you at the forum when convenient. Please be advised for the next few days I am very much focused on ancillary matters related to the ver 1.1 release.
This is the reason i am proud of being Striking’s early buyer.
The amount of quick support and your eagerness to address every query is just pure awesomeness in itself. The way you took time to elaborate my questions is just incredible.
Regarding page builder, I totally agree with you. Few minutes spent extra is not wasted after all when it saves lots of requests!! and if at all a page builder is required, then they can totally buy it. Bundling might increase few extra dollars as you buy extended license which is not good for customers who don’t really need it. Any external page / layout builders are pointless, best things we love about striking are its shortcodes. they won’t be usable via visual composer.
Time to get back on kaptinlin-support guess, these days little bit busy with ecommerce stuff but will sure volunteer for beta testings of new updates on multiflex and assist other members on our forum with basic problems.
btw, a major umbrella charity organization in the USA, uses our theme for its ecommerce. They have several thousand items in their store.
We were chosen as our theme was the only one that did not buckle under the “weight”, and rather then fixing them into a “design” that would have been agonizing to customize, MultiFlex presented a “superb” (thats a quote from them by the way) ability to customize using our stock features (Page options metabox with all those individual page design settings, etc) plus the specific ecommerce functions we created that can be applied to any ecommerce plugin (they are using wp-ecommerce).
Lots of ecommerce themes about, but none that give one the ability to customize every single shop page if so desired like we do.
thanks for the kind words, reach out and contact me sometime.
I upgraded to version 1.1.0 and this error appears:
Fatal error: Can not redeclare class UniteFunctionsRev in /home/cirs2014/public_html/pt/wp-content/themes/striking_r/framework/plugins/revslider/inc_php/framework/functions.class.php on line 3
What I can do?
I have no idea!!
I have not seen that error before. And no one else has encountered it. I ask that you follow the guidelines as noted in the Support Tab above, and post at our support forum.
Please provide the following info:
- your wp version
- your site url
- the verion of multiflex you updated from, and how you updated (the internal update function or by ftp).
One of the support team members will assist you.
Please post in the version release thread:
wp version: WordPress 3.9.2
the internal update
Please post at the forum and you will be assisted. We believe its a usage matter, not a theme issue.
I do not understand where I have to post. I updated the theme and Revolution Slider produces a fatal error. Where I have to post?
The slider is replaced by this text: Revolution Slider Error: If you want to use the PHP function “putRevSlider” in your code Please make sure to check “Include RevSlider libraries globally (all pages / posts)” in the backend’s “General Settings” (top right panel).
Or add the current page to the “Pages to include RevSlider libraries” option box.
The “General Settings” button does not work
We were asking you to post at the Striking Support Forum. If you look above these comments on this page, you will see there are 3 tabs: Item Details, Comments, Support. IF you click on the Support Tab, you will see almost immediately Hands-on support for this item is provided by kaptinlin, They will respond to buyers’ questions via their own support system. and then there is a button for you to click on to go to the Support Forum.
In any case, your issue is easy to resolve. Please go to this thread at the support forum:
Enabling Rev Slider Libraries
and look in the comment by BackuPs – Feb 4 -> “2) Warning Message”.
It explains how to enable the rev slider libraries.
Should you need any further assistance, please register at the forum, and add a comment to that thread. Your matter is just you not knowing how to use this plugin, which admittedly is a more complex slider then most.
MultiFlex = Your Site Your Way!
I could not find—the comment by backups – Feb 4 -> “2) Warning Message” – in Support, so I started a new post for Support and hope for the solution.
Yes, I saw. Thank you for cross posting. We put an image in the post to show you exactly what you should be looking at.
Its not an error, but a prompt from the Rev Slider effectively advising a user they have choice, the plugin scripts can be loaded globally or per page.
However I see the thread ongoing at the forum, and we will assist you there.
This is a fantastic theme that only gets better! I recently transitioned my site to the new responsive version. The responsive layout is incredibly well done, everything works great and the migration was painless.
Thank you for your kind words.
Where can i check RTL Option ?
We have yet to build out a complete RTL demo, its in process but not complete.
The theme is 100% RTL capable, so everything you see, is also just the reverse in rtl.
Here are some, using a variety of builds past and present:
Use, by you or one client, in a single end product which end users are not charged for. The total price includes the item price and a buyer fee.
Why buy with Envato
