Hi there, just wondering if there is any inbuilt function to insert adsense via widgets or otherwise? For example in sidebar on pages? Thanks.
Hi Observedotco! No builtin function but yes it’s possible. You can insert in your sidebar via plugin (ex: Google AdSense Plugin) or in footer (even if we don’t show it on the demo in the footer you have 6 widgets areas).

Hi Kooksart! Sure but you have to give me a few days, we have to prepare a version with fictitious images because we can not distribute the images you see in the demo, in the meantime you can follow our video tutorial instructions. We can back very soon!

We have been trying Studiofolio with qTranslate Plugin (since WPML in not free) and it works very well. I don’t think it should be a problem then to use with WPML.

We are not experiencing that you are describing, is it still there?
I posted this on the support forum, but not sure if other people on here had this problem.
When I attempt to create a child theme of Studiofolio, I get a bunch of “Warning: include_once” errors. Not sure what is causing this and I’ve never seen it with other Wordpress themes.
It seems to be complaining that there’s issues with the “studiofolio/lib/metaboxes/setup.php” file.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The demo is super buggy on iPad. Header regularly disappears. is there a way to view demo out of themeswitcher frame? Option toggle om right side pushes site to the left. Also when scrolling down the line from header stays static for a delayed time.

We have fix it, you should be able to view it correctly now.
The theme has already retina support.
none of the theme images/icons have a retina x2 version in the image folders. can you add them to the theme. the theme is not retina ready without theme
With Studiofolio we have used the technique for the image management described here http://blog.netvlies.nl/design-interactie/retina-revolution/ . With that you deliver big size images for both screen type without the drawback of the image size being to big.
You have always to upload all images like would be or the x2 version and the theme would create all the different formats needed.
So that said the theme is retina ready even without the x2 version of the images, which we believe is much easier the handle in many way.

I’ve seen WP themes allow for a user to post their Instagram feed. Is this possible with this theme? Also, looking forward to the demo site so I can reverse engineer!

Yes you can have Instragram feed, you just need to paste the link of it in the post content and select Quote as post format.
The demo site is available in the last theme update just released. You can download it from themeforest.

Like the style of this theme, but it still doesn’t work in Opera: http://demo.undsgn.com/studiofolio/portfolio-1/fluid-sidebar-with-gallery-4/ – please, see the screenshot (the browser cache was cleaned before checking). Or here: http://demo.undsgn.com/studiofolio/features/ (the screenshot is here), and the other pages on your demo-site don’t work well in Opera: http://demo.undsgn.com/studiofolio/portfolio-1/fluid-sidebar-with-gallery-and-custom-background/ and so on.
Also a few question:
1. Is it possible the multiple portfolios with different items? 2. Is it possible unlimited custom sidebars for each page/post?

Hi Fotomaster! Thank you for check the Opera bug, now fixed! You can create as many portfolios as you want, every portfolio with his own different items! What is “unlimited custom sidebars”? Every page has his own sidebar (maybe in our demo we copy and past the same text again).

Also is there some possibility to obtain link on specified picture from portfolio (like in screenshots above)? For example, if I would like to introduce the one-two photos for my customers. Now I must send them the link of whole set http://demo.undsgn.com/studiofolio/portfolio-1/fluid-sidebar-with-gallery-and-custom-background/ and say – “please, see there the photos number 5 and 7”
or something like this. Some authors in themeforest allow this feature for them themes (usually when come some updates).
About of the sidebars – noted. So, I can create a custom sidebar for one post/page and the other custom sidebar for second page or post, right?
Here are plus 3 quick, but important questions:
1. http://demo.undsgn.com/studiofolio/portfolio-1/centered-slideshow-with-custom-background/ – is it possible to choose the auto-play instead of static slideshow as it is now? 1.1. If yes, is it possible to see this little played slideshow in this page http://demo.undsgn.com/studiofolio/ ? (for example) Such view of page is more interactive for visitors, believe me. 1.2. More important question: is it possible to open the slideshow http://demo.undsgn.com/studiofolio/portfolio-1/centered-slideshow-with-custom-background/ either in additional lightbox or in the full-screen gallery view in order to leaf through all pictures in big sizes?
2. And if I don’t need logo, all content of page will go up, right? (better for using whole screen).
3. Is it possible to have the “dark style” of theme? Hope, it is easy to do, right?

Hi again, we have fixed now the other issue pointed out on your screenshoots.
The link to the specific picture can be implemented on the next update.
About the sidebar each page has it’s own sidebar that you create in the content and the blog post are sharing the same sidebar created with widgets on the backend.
1. The autoplay is possible to have. 1.1. Yes is possible to play little slideshows in home but for now only of gallery pages like this one. http://demo.undsgn.com/studiofolio/gallery-images-video/ 1.2. You can have a different layout for this page so is taking the full width of the screen instead of a contained one.
2. You can decide the height of your header, so the content can go up.
3. It’s easy to achieve a dark style but we are probably gonna include the choice in the next update.

Hi Sizzles and thank you for support! Yes in homepage you can have, portfolio, blog, gallery or pages… what you want! In our demo we compose homepage with a mix of portfolio and blog entries, but if you want only blog you can! We even have the possibility to choose the arrangement of items manually or put them in chronological order. Let me know if you need more info.

If it isn’t too difficult, could you also include support for 500px as well as last.fm for the social media icons? Since the icons are built into the font, I imagine it’s simple to add them on the backend?

Make sure you are having the Entypo font installed as showed here http://static.undsgn.com/docs/studiofolio/#!/install_theme but inside this path assets/css/fonts since in the documentation are mistyped and will be corrected.
