Hello. I’m looking for a very specific feature of isotope : when clicking on a picture, it shows bigger and the layout change items, exactly like this : http://isotope.metafizzy.co/demos/relayout.html
To avoid displaying a lightbox or to load a new page to display a higher resolution of the picture. Ideally, when we click another picture, the first one will be reduced and the new one is enlarged. Is this possible in Studiofolio ?

Hi Strv! we currently have not provided this feature, if there’s other requests we can foresee it, but is not currently in the pipeline of developments. Thank you for interested in our theme.
Oh…i don’t know why nobody do this, it’s so perfect for a portfolio. Quickly viewing a better resolution without leaving the portfolio. I’m curious if this is very time consuming / hard to do ? Thanks for your quick answer.
Hi Strv! It depends on the quality of your development skills. The question is very personal, in fact most of the users need to view images using lightbox or then have a dedicated page.

What are the features you’re adding in the upcoming update. I read here in the comments an update is due any day now. Also, if I purchase this theme will the install folder reflect the update or will it come with an update patch/folder?

The new features will be:
- the slideshow fullscreen and other improvements of it like the thumbnails navigation.
- Instagram integration
- blog filter per category
Then every time a new update is coming you need to re-upload the entire folder to your server.
Is now available v1.3 of Studiofolio.
Did you thoroughly test it on all different browsers and OS’s. I want to buy it but I don’t like messing around with updates often. Thanks

Yes sure! Depends on what page you have as home. In our demo we use the “Manual layout creator”, here you can tell Studiofolio what contents you want! Take a look at pour video tutorials inside the docs
I choose the automatic one, and my post is displayed, but not in “full width” like in your demo page. (I mean, I have the same margin than the other blog post). Do I have to choose some particular options in the admin edit?

Hi! Where can I view the slideshow with thumbnail photo strip? I just wanted to make a 100% sure that I can access the slideshow from a photo in my gallery. And if not, from a drop down menu. In some themes you can only use the slideshow with thumbstrips only as the home page. Thanks! Obviously I can reduce the size of the slideshow photos right? (they are too big for my screen and I have a large, wide screen). Thanks! Also, I know you cannot create every feature everyone suggests… but you seem open to suggestions so will add one. I think it’s cool when you go to click on an arrow and you can see the next photo to come in a square or circle. (and even when you get to the next project). Or the x moves when you go to close it, quirks like this. Is it possible to make the navigation arrows a bit bigger? (I do have a programmer). Thank you for all of your help!

Yes you can have a slideshow anywhere on the site and it can be a gallery, a portfolio item or have it on the homepage, Studiofolio is very flexible about that. Yes you can reduce the size to a smaller one. About other features we will evaluate for future updates but we can never promise. Yes is possible to make arrows bigger…we have a textarea in the backend for css customisations.
OK, awesome about being able to link! I don’t know why, but I can see the full-screen images but no thumbnails. (and i know you said I can make this work like a slideshow). Cool about future possible features!!! I just think nifty extra features sell. (and honestly only thing I can see on expression and hyperpershot that you guys don’t have; but you have other features I need more, so am buying your theme).

Nice theme, gonna buy it for my client. Just 1 question.. At the home page, there are grey margins around the full screen slider. Is it possible(i think it is possible) to remove those margins, so you have a full screen image at the home page without the grey margins?

Hi Martijn88 and thank you for interest in Studiofolio! Yes sure, by default we chose to have the same margins but with only one line of custom CSS code you can have your no-margin-fullscreen. Once you have bought the theme please send us an email and we’ll tell you how to. You do not even edit the main CSS file because we have a panel for custom CSS directly in the admin

Is there a way to assign portfolio items to multiple portfolios? Or can you currently only assign one portfolio item to a single portfolio?

Will do. However, this is a feature I think you should consider building in to a future release. It’s a relatively simple change that would make the theme much more flexible.

I know its not a portfolio item – the icon for contact sits directly under the portfolio icon in the dashboard on your videos. I followed the video but there is no Contact option in my dashboard

Exceptional theme. It has (almost) everything I’ve been looking for in the past year. I have one question: The theme keeps alerting that the 1.3 version is available but it also says that I have 1.3 installed. Should I just let it be? Are you planning to integrate an update option directly into the theme, so it’s possible to update the theme more smoothly? Would be great

Hi-Red Apple and thenk you for interest! Studiofolio is first and foremost a portfolio and blog theme. Since we have developed Studiofolio following WordPress core structure should not be problems (one of our customers did ecommerce on Studiofolio), but the theme does not include ecommerce components, you must realize by installing plugins.
Hello, how do I import the demo content into the theme? I tried importing the .xml file and it seemed to work for posts, pages, and portfolio items, but the images are not there and the homepage is not showing content. Thanks!

Hi Adschwab thank you for interest! Studiofolio just have password protected contents (also for galleries). Where you want Google Plus, in the header social media menu? Yes you can select a lot of social media there.
