Sure this is fairly simple to do. To switch off the flexible height adjustment open “stylemag/js/scripts.js” and delete line 234 which should be:

smoothHeight: true

Make sure you remove the comma at the end of the line above the deleted line as the last item should have a comma:

jQuery(window).load(function(){
  jQuery('.slider').flexslider({
    animation: "slide",
    controlNav: true
  });
});

The images automatically crop to a fixed sized of 680×450 pixels, as long as the images you upload are at least this big they will be cropped. The only time problems will occur is if you upload a smaller images as WordPress doesn’t upscale images.

Yes you can add a Youtube/Vimeo video in the sidebar/footer widget areas.

Regarding adding a news ticker, this is certainly possible although not currently a feature. You would need to modify the theme to do this. I’d be happy to give basic directions via support.

Editing the sidebar separators would be pretty simple to do, again I’d be happy to advise how to do this via support.

You can adjust the total amount of thumbnails/titles output using the following:

[news_2_cols_slides category="health" post_limit="6" title="Health"]

To display 6 per section as opposed to 3 you would need to modify the theme. Open up a support ticket and I’ll take a look for you

The filepath ”/www/common-scripts/admin/index.php” doesn’t belong to the theme or WordPress. Could you tell me what version of WordPress you’re using?

Sure this is easy to do

To disable page comments go to “Pages” in the WordPress dashboard, then hover your mouse over a page title, some options will appear, click “Quick Edit” and untick “Allow Comments”.

Thank you! And one last question. Am I able to include videos within the blog posts themselves and will they have to be shortcodes or can I use the WordPress video option, just using the video url and they still show-up as a part of the responsive theme?

Sure you can embed Youtube/Vimeo videos in pages or posts using the build in shortcodes.

If it was a small modification I’d be happy to advise on the code but to make that section slider would take a bit of time.

I’d recommend hiring a freelancer to do this modification if you really need it

This functionality isn’t built in but you can use the “Widget Logic” plugin to display different widgets on each page: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/

Sure, you can rearrange/add/remove all the homepage sections/blocks to display in any order you want.

Regarding adding Pinterest and Instagram, this feature isn’t built into the theme but there are many free plugins available for WordPress which you can use: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

Hi, thanks for your answer! I already bought the theme but I am not able to arrange my site in the same style as your preview looks like… (slideshow, two columns at the front page,...). Do you have a instruction plan to get the same style?

My site looks like a “normal” blog and not like a magazine… (mitstil.net is the URL).

I’d recommend checking out the documentation supplied with the theme (found in the “Documentation” folder inside the main download package).

To set up the homepage as shown in the demo, in your WordPress dashboard go to “Pages > Add New” and select “Homepage” from the “Template” selection on the right side of the page.

Then to configure the homepage go to “Appearance > Theme Options > Home Settings”.

Your menu looks fine to me, although bear in mind if you’re viewing on a smaller screen size this will initiate the mobile menu.
