Hi there,

I wondered if this templates supports video or streaming video?

Many thanks

Hi Cristina! Yep – you can use both in standard embed formats ;)

B

When reviewing your template on ThemeForest, the fonts came up as garbled/scrambled when I view in IE9 and FF16 . Fonts display in Safari and Chrome however fine. I’ve seen this happen a few times on other websites, but I am not sure what the cause of it is? I am thinking it may be something with my PC/browsers and how they render this template code? Any idea(s)?

Nice design!?But, I am not yet to make up my mind to buy this template. 1??Can I change CSS to own design??(I want to change header color.)

2. Is it possible to increase the width?

Hi Sakura!

1. Yep – absolutely – we even have a field for you to enter your custom CSS so you can build your own custom skin easily.

2. Not easily… which is to say that it’s possible, but it’d require some pretty intimate knowledge of the CSS and markup to do so.

Cheers! B

Thank you for the reply !

First of all let me say I love the template. Secondly, can IE 7 just plain die and go away! My client though has some computers in their office that use IE 7 and consequently pointed out that the menu doesn’t display properly on their site: http://www.bishopneumann.com If you go to the home page and hover over activities, then sports you will see that the items in the sub menu don’t display over top of the content. This is consistent from page to page. Is there a workaround for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi snitilycarr,

Please repost this over at http://makedesign.ticksy.com – it takes just a minute and it’ll allow us to get back to you quickly (and you can post confidential stuff like login details if you need to without it being public). Oh, and you can also search all past questions, which means that you might not have to wait at all for an answer!

Why? We’ve been running our Ticksy forum for almost a year, and it’s time to finally move over all support over there as it’s simply better for everyone involved.

Thanks, and we’ll look forward to hearing from ya over there! Brandon, Charlie & Chris (The MDNW Support Crew)

Hey there, very impressive stuff!

Just about to go live with your SS theme, I just updated the flexslider .js and .ccs and now the buttons sprite co-ordinates are off and the buttons are set to visible all the time.

I loved the default on the older version where you hovered to get the buttons to show. Had you modified the code much other than the button.png etc? and how easy is this to change back?

Wizard…

Heya Demo! Nope – we haven’t changed the code in a while actually (over a year) on the HTML version of this template :) B

Hi epicera, First of all great template – really enjoying customising it – even though i am no expert in coding – more of a front end designers – anyways…. I have a small question for you – in the portfolio template one can filter the samples based on the categories – which is great! – but how can one assign the filters to specific images – for example image1.jpg is DESIGN, image2.jpg is WEB etc etc…

I am probably not seeing it in the code and would be staring at me ;P

Thanks for your help Paul

Hi Epicera – never mind my post – solved it! as i said it was staring at me all along i was not seeing it…once again great template!

Hi – I really like your template and clean code (validated well in W3C). But, I’d like some of the newer features available for portfolios and sliders. Are you planning on updating this theme? Thanks!

Heya Birds… the theme includes portfolios, sliders, and tons of other stuff… did you check out the demo? B

Hi B – Thanks for your quick response! Yes, I checked out the demo and really like it, but would like a few more of the newer features, like a lightbox that includes a pinterest link (maybe Jackbox); a “back to top” arrow in bottom right; icons; toggles/accordions; breadcrumbs; searchbox placeholder. Sounds like a Xmas wish list ;-) Maybe I could just add these separately, but I don’t want to muddle up your clean code! Thanks.

Heya Birds!

Most of these are actually totally addable through plugins – in fact, that’s how they should be added (not through theme features) ;)

For the back to top – we integrate perfectly with Dynamic To Top (check it out in our other themes – it just happens to not be turned on on this demo). Lots of the other stuff is addable through the Shortcodes Ultimate plugin. Remember, new functionality should almost always be added through plugins… not themes! Themes are just there for basic content presentation according to the WP core guidelines and best practices.

Cheers! B

I don’t know much about web design/ html coding, etc. I am a sportswear designer and wanted to you Super Skeleton as my template. I have no idea if I should purchase the WordPress version or basic corporate. I may be on taking on too much trying to figure it out? Any words of wisdom? I am just looking to you use the site as a portfolio. Nothing will be bought or sold. Thanks in advance!

Hi Svogey!

I always recommend the WP version as it includes a full admin panel and dashboard for setting up your content – and there are tons of instructional guides on how to use WP if you haven’t touched it before… check out http://wp101.com for just one example.

B

Even after following the instructions in this forum, I can’t get the theme to upload. I’m feeling really frustrated.

Hi Armstrong… you know this is the HTML version correct? Did you intend to buy the WP theme? http://themeforest.net/item/super-skeleton-wp-responsive-minimal-beautiful/647570

Great work, epicera. I really love the clean markup! I had a question about prettyPhoto… I see in the sample pages data-rel values like prettyphoto[Gallery], prettyphoto[Lightbox] and prettyphoto[SuperSkeleton]. I can’t seem to find documentation on what the allowable values are here. Are there more than just those 3? I looked at the docs for pretty photo from the dev’s site, but the examples there use different values (i.e. [pp_gal] instead of [Gallery]). I can’t seem to find where “the magic happens”

Hi Boam!

Check out the official prettyPhoto documentation here: http://www.no-margin-for-errors.com/projects/prettyphoto-jquery-lightbox-clone/

We’re using the HTML5 compliant data-rel instead of the regular rel, but the rest is a stock implementation.

I had already checked there, but nowhere in the prettyPhoto examples do I see usage like your sample pages. For example I see a data-rel=”prettyPhoto[SuperSkeleton]” in the index.html sample page of the SuperSkeleton download. That’s a stock implementation?

Hi there,

What is the best size for a page background images????

thanks

Hi Moos! There really isn’t an ideal size… you can have large, HD photo based images or little tiny tileable pattern images. It’s totally your call.

No Tables or Pricing boxes! Such a pity…...almost a necessity in todays templates.

Default-user

Well I appreciate this template is not new and as it drops down themeforest its not as monetized, however tabulated data is still popular display format. Maybe you wont add it but a valid suggestion. :)

Fair enough :) I hesitate to answer on this thread because it is a couple years old at this point and I’m mainly selling this template as a sandbox solution, not a full featured niche-based product that attempts to do everything. In layman’s terms, it’s meant to be a solid starting framework where experienced dev’s add their own special sauce to it… My main argument would be that there are a bunch of great pricing table options out there (for free if you Google them or you can pick up premium ones at CodeCanyon)... but I can see how it’d be nice if this came included. I’ll take the suggestion under consideration though! Thanks Xtopher!

Of course, I came to same conclusion as I noted. :) Sure if I buy, I willcode in them as required. But for budget client jobs if they are included, a bonus.

Hi,

Looking at purchasing … just one question.

This may seem like a dumb question but is this theme based on the Skeleton Boilerplate for Responsive & Mobile design?

I ask simply because, although I’m not an experienced web designer, I’ve messed around with the Skeleton framework and would feel reasonably comfortable buying a theme that is based on it.

Best,

Cantaloupe

Does this template work without PHP? (don’t need Contact Form)

Hmmmm, showing twitter feeds but not included. Its a nice design but not gone the whole features others give. Shouldnt show twitter feeds if its not included. Another trip to codecanyon.

Hi looks like I fell into the trap as well, after some time checking this is not the wordpress version, it really needs to be made clearer having two templates with the same name is not really clear enough, and I do not regard myself as that stupid.

Can you please send a refund, I thought this was ready to go with the skeleton framework on which its based. Please help, thanks

Hi There. I love this html5 version! Perfect for what i want to do. However I was just stuck on one part: What’s the easiest way to create 3 columns in the footer that are centralised and equal width? That is instead of the four columns currently there, of which one which include the logo. I want it to be as the above section but with the footer darkness.

I tried using a div class of “one-third column” (instead of “five columns” etc) as in the super container above (with id “section-thirds”) but the columns didn’t all fit in – the last came below. If I change the footer id to “section-thirds” then the footer looses it’s darkness. I am using it on the default light background setting.

Would love your help for this as I think i have everything else nailed. I’m testing it on www.inchley.com/allstars – where you can see the problem.

Thanks. Simon
