Superior Osaka - Builder Responsive WPTheme

The Osaka theme is translation ready and the *.po files are included. As for the plugin, we didn’t tested the theme with WPML yet, so hard to say how this will work together. Also, I think it won’t work for the Pro Menu system without some adjustments, maybe for the WordPress menu option.

We didn’t tested BBPress with Osaka – some adjustment might be also needed especially if you want it to fit to the design perfectly.

At this moment there is no feature for this in the theme. I think it should be possible to do this kind of splash page with some non Osaka plugin. How do you see this kind of introduction page – just as a page that is displayed only with first visit or maybe you mean some splash screen that overlays the homepage and can be closed?

I am thinking it in two ways:

1. A single full screen picture (or slideshow), with logo (without navigation). By clicking anywhere on it, the visitor enters HOME (the main page). Like here: http://www.reagarvey.com

2. Below the logo and navigaton, as for example in the “Basic and Board Mix”: the top image is in full-width of the computer screen. Like here: http://pixelthemes.net/immersion/

Thanks for the additional information. We will add this to our requests list and see if it will be possible to add this in future as a theme feature – at this moment it is not possible with any theme option.

It is not possible to setup, maybe with some bigger modification in the code – if you want this to look good and fit to the design. From what I checked just so quickly, some changes in the CSS and CMS settings might be enough to do this (especially if you would like to change the whole header to fixed position), but this would need some tests and development.

I think maybe for some future theme we will design this kind of menu. Superior Osaka was not designed for this and I think it is easier and better to design and implement this functionality at some earlier stage of theme development.

So it is impossible to have this function in Superior Osaka, isn’t it? It is a very useful and practicable function to have in a website, and is used very often now.

I think it is possible, but it need some modification in the code. But there is no option for this in the CMS at this moment.

This change will be added also with the coming update real soon, but here is an instruction how to resolve the images display if you don’t want to wait:

- open CSS files located in “css” folder (or only in the one CSS that is used by your option “CSS mode” in section Osaka > General > Theme Core) and search for this class:

.dc-page-content

- right below this line – insert this new CSS part for image:

.dc-page-content img, .blog-post-full-wrapper .bpf-content img, .page-short-compact-wrapper .bps-content img {
                max-width: 100%;
                height: auto;
            }

And that’s all. Now also the content images won’t be bigger than the content area.

no plugins activated at all it is a totally fresh install. PHP Version 5.3.10

I have got round the problem by commenting the declaration out of OAuth.php for the time being but obviously this is a workround rather than a solution.

Also and I guess I’m being incredibly thick here (which isn’t unusual!!) but how do I set up the sample configurations so I can see how to layout pages and elements as you have them in your demo?

Hello, that’s weird because it looks like there is something else declaring that class already, like a non Osaka plugin. If it is a fresh WP installation, maybe it is something else on your server that is causing this. We will try to search more about this, but you can also try to test the theme on localhost if possible, just to make sure that everything is OK with your theme files.

In regards to the sample, you will find a video with the instruction for this in our Live Preview – Videos examples section – video “How to start – import sample data”. The sample files are included in the ZIP file. You can import sample XML and also CMS settings plus Menu configuration.

I am not sure about your question – you write about some other type of simple menu? The simple version of menu – a drop down menu – is displayed automatically on mobile devices. Full Mega Menu is displayed on larger devices.

I understand, thank you. Because the Mega menu arent responsive I like to use the second line in Mega-menu as full-page width line. What I havo to set into css?

It is not possible to change it is some easy way to a full width mega menu. You should be able to change it with some more complicated modification in the code, but I don’t have a ready solution. Also some tests will be needed for this, if you want all the elements will work properly with this kind of modification.

OK, I see you resolved this, but if you will have the problem again you can check this instruction:

It might be related to server settings. On your server, check to what value max_input_vars parameter is set in php.ini file. If it is set to value around 1000 – you will need to change this parameter to higher value, lets say: max_input_vars = 5000. You should be able to do this on your own in server settings or ask your host about this change.

Currently in Superior Osaka the custom posts single page are not discriminated by categories or parent pages. It should be possible to do with some modification but we will need some time to develop this and make some tests. I will add this on our requests list and we will try to add this with 1.2 or maybe the next update if its possible without loosing any functionality.

I am not sure what you mean. You want to use it with some multisite plugin or you ask about using the theme on different WP installations?

Sorry for the confusion. What I mean is can I buy it once and use it on www.website1.com and www.website2.com, or would I need to buy 2 licenses? Thanks

Hello, the regular licence is limited to one site – single WP installation, so in this case you need two regular licences. But, if you will have any doubts about the licences you can also ask Theme Forest support staff about this topic.

This is related to server settings. Probably on your server in php.ini file parameter max_input_vars is set to value around 1000 and you will need to change this parameter value to lets say: max_input_vars = 5000. You should be able to do this on your own in server settings or ask your host about this change. After this it should work fine.

I would need to take a look on this, maybe you can send us a link or better access to your WP admin (using contact form in our TF profile) and I will check the settings.

Also, you can check if it is not caused by some non Osaka plugin (by deactivating all the plugins if you use any besides NextGEN Gallery).
