I want to know how can I make the “Knowledgebase” appear on the menu of homepage.
When creating your menu use the “Custom Link” option to create a link to your Knowledge Base section. If you have any problem please submit a support request via http://herothemes.com/support/
how can I find the purchase code ?

Hi Chris. I have two issues based on what seemed like it would be a simple question regarding FAQ taxonomy. Can I use FAQ slugs to access various FAQ categories as with regular categories.
Here’s an example: http://whnlive.com/support/category/uncategorized/ (leads to a post category under the “support” blog)
I’d like to access the faq similarly like this: http://whnlive.com/support/faq_category/products/liveo2/
It seemed like that should work – but didn’t – Advice please?
Amendment. This link works http://whnlive.com/support/faq_category/products while this one doesn’t http://whnlive.com/support/faq_category/products/liveo2/ so the issue appears to be with slugs for sub-categories.
Please don’t post your purchase code as someone else could use it preventing you from using it to sign up for support.
Please submit a support request via http://herothemes.com/support/ with your WordPress details and we’ll help you out as best we can.
I tried that. The login screen wouldn’t let me use that number as a validation so I couldn’t ask the question there. Sorry I didn’t think about exposing the purchase key would create an issue for you.
I just tried to “Register” there and the system won’t allow me to “verify” with that code.
If you contact me via the form on my profile page: http://themeforest.net/user/ChrisMooney
Using the account you purchased the theme with I can verify you manually and setup an account for you.
The account you’re currently posting from doesn’t have a have a purchased badge.
I have a support site in WP and I have lot of APIs/code that need to be well documented. I would like to use your theme but I have a question: would it be possible to add somehow, inside the “Shortcodes” page, a fixed menu with links/anchors that can be used by the users to navigate within the “Shortcodes” page?
This isn’t a feature of the theme, so you’d need to use a plugin or add some custom functionality for it.
Hello, I’ve just purchased this plugin. Seems like a great plugin. I was trying to install it. When I uploaded the plugin, it says:Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.
Plugin install failed.
I’m using the latest wordpress 3.8.1. Can you help me out on this?
It’s to be installed as theme not as plugin apparently. Great stuff by the way.
Glad you got it sorted, if you need anything else feel free to submit a support request via our site.
I noticed a possible bug on your section pages for the KB. The widget for Latest News shows all of the posts instead of just two.
Could you please let me know how to fix it?
If this helps, I also noticed when you go to: WP-Admin >> Appearance >> Theme Options > Knowledgebase Options >> Articles per page: This affects the number of news posts in the widget.
Could you submit a support request with your WordPress details so I can take a look too see what’s going wrong for you.
Hello, I need supportdesk theme only for Knowledge Base. If I buy your theme can I change default home page to Knowledge Base page?
Unfortunately it’s currently not possible without modifying the template.
If I buy your theme Can your modify the template homepage for free for this: http://demo.herothemes.com/supportdesk/knowledgebase/
We don’t do customizations.
Thanks for your beautiful template. I would like a static page with a sidebar in the homepage. Is it possible ?
Thanks for your answer.
That’s not how the homepage is setup by default. It’s possible by using a Child Theme to create your own modified homepage template though.
Just a note for Dutch/Belgium users of this great theme; a Dutch (Nederlands) translation can be found here: https://github.com/Jos5796/SupportDesk-Dutch
the sample content in the demo of Support Desk hints GPL. Is your code GPL licensed or under the envato EULA/whatever?
It licensed under Envato standard license: http://themeforest.net/licenses/regular
I have translated the theme into german.
Feel free to integrate this translation file into your theme! Thanks!
Just contact me under the link above if you have (or will) updated or added new terms to your translation file.
Just a quick question.
I will have 2 categories of post – news and events.
I want to display the events on the homepage, but not the news. I also want to have a news/blog page which shows only posts with the category news.
In essence, my question is this… can I filter the posts on the homepage by category?
If I’m understanding your questions correctly, it’s not possible without using a plugin or customizing the theme.
I have on suggestion for your theme. Can you add (with the next update) code field for google analytics? This would be nice!
The reason this feature isn’t in the theme is because plugins can handle this much better. I would recommend this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/
is there a way users/visitors can ask questions like stackoverflow.com.Is there features avaialble?
This isn’t a feature of the theme. It may be possible with a plugin but I haven’t used any like this so couldn’t recommend one.
Thanks for your reply.
Your theme looks great.I have a quesiton.
Is there a way user can ask questions if the user did not find the relevant information in knowledge base or forums
Can the search be possible including forums as well in home page search?
// Is there a way user can ask questions if the user did not find the relevant information in knowledge base or forums
They could ask questions on the forum by posting a new topic.
// Can the search be possible including forums as well in home page search?
You would need to modify the live search function in the theme to do this.
Can I use a membership plugging with this theme?
I haven’t personally tested any but there’s no reason why they wouldn’t work.
The Knowledge Base is a Custom Post Type. Let me know if you need anything else.
Hello, I have a question regarding the forum search. When I search for something, it shows me the pagination
Viewing 15 results - 1 through 15 (of 21 total)

Sorry about the issue you’re having. If you could email me from the form on my profile ( http://themeforest.net/user/ChrisMooney ) with the email address you used to sign up for your account I’ll manually reset your password and send it to you.
When can I expect to get an answer on my support ticket?

Hi, is http://demo.herothemes.com/?product=knowhow#supportdesk compatible with wpml.?I
You says so for your other theme ‘knowhow’
Is theme supportdesk also wpml proof?
Yes, it’s compatible with WPML as well. If you have other questions do let me know.
Just made XML import, in result got a blank page. Nothing was imported except the media file Support-Desk-Demo-XML.xml_.txt
Sounds odd, could you email me via my profile and I’ll send you a fresh XML to import so you can try that?
A problem with the homepage’s sentence “Search the knowledgebase…” I have translate it but when I need to use it, it doesn’t wipe off.
Thanks for your answer
Did I miss it in the docs? How do you get the admin menu in the footer alongside the copyright notice?
Loving the theme and the Awesome Support plugin by the way?
Use, by you or one client, in a single end product which end users are not charged for. The total price includes the item price and a buyer fee.
Why buy with Envato
