Great Template! Thanks for the awesome work!

One issue though – on “IE9”, the logo seems is centering in the header, had to add the following code to the Stylesheet (style.css):

The original is first, the edited (working) is second:

#header #logo img { display:block; margin:0 auto; #header #logo img { display:block; margin:0 auto; float:left;

Hello,

Do Support Desk have the possibility for multisite?

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

Yes, you shouldn’t have any issues using Support Desk on a multisite.

Thanks

Hi there, I found this: “The footer widget area is currently set to: Three Columns. To change it go to the theme options panel.” in the footer widget area, however I can’t find the setting to change this in the theme options panel. Did I miss something?

Hi, is it possible to have users post questions that will go in the knowledge? Thanks

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

This isn’t possible on the front-end. You would need to give the user author permissions so they can manage the knowledge base in the WP admin panel.

Thanks

Hello !

can we try somewhere? where can we post ticket ?

barreoblique

Ok, I’m looking for a theme like yours but with a ticket system. Is there a plugin that I could add to your theme?

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

The plugin says it should work with any theme. We theme doesn’t have any direct integration/support for the plugin.

Thanks

PreSale question:

Is it possible to have tickets generate via email as well? IE -> someone emails help@site.com and using IMAP or POP it retrieves the email and generates a ticket within the system?

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

There is no ticketing system in this theme.

Thanks

Hello Chris,

Awesome THeme! Not sure if you will know what to do, but I’m trying to use relevanssi to search all of my content, however I can’t seem to get it to find anything. I just keep getting that “No posts were found.” Just a shot in the dark, but would you have any idea what is going on!?

Thanks, Don

Dose this theme support RTL and WPML?

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

The theme doesn’t support RTL but it does support WPML.

Thanks

I tried to edit the background of the ‘title’ div on each page (where the search bar is also located for the knowledge base, for example), but I only managed to edit it so it works on the homepage. Where should I edit the CSS file to properly edit the background?

I used the following code: .page-template-template-front-page-php #page-header { text-align:center; color:#fff; background-image:url('images/header.png'); background-size: 100% 100%; background-size: cover; }

A working example of the homepage can be seen on www.ceathiel.com, but it only works on the homepage, not on other pages.

@Chris Mooney, any thoughts?

ChrisMooney

Hey there,

Unfortunately it isn’t unless you modify the theme. Sorry about that.

Thanks

Great template! Do you guys have one for plain html, not a wordpress one?

Hi, Where is the option to open new support ticket ? i couldn’t find Ticket management option? is there any external plugin needed for this ?

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

This theme doesn’t come with a ticketing system. It provide support for BBPress instead.

Thanks

Hi, very good forum we are interested to purchase and use it as customer support forum for Themeforest clients. We have a pre-sale question. What about the the Envato API and Topic status? Many thanks for your time. :)

ChrisMooney

Hey,

To integrate the Envato API there are two plugins which I know of:

favethemes

Hi, thank you for your reply. Did you already tested the plugins with the themes? What about the Topics status? Thanks.

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

I’ve used and tested Aqua Verifier, but I haven’t used BBPress topic status.

Thanks

Hi, Can I restrict only registered users to browse the website ?

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

You could use a plugin such as: http://wordpress.org/plugins/password-protected/

There are a number of different options depending on our requirements available on wordpress.org

Thanks

Hi Chris, quick question:

How do I make the homepage widgets three across? I have three in there (KB, Forum and Text) but my text one is wrapping under KB.

Thanks, Wade

ChrisMooney

You can modify this setting in WP Admin > Appearance > Theme Options > Homepage Options > Homepage Blocks Layout.

Dear Chris,

I am interested about buying either SupportDesk or KnowHow.

I have two questions:

1) How to choose between the two? Functionally what’s the difference?

2) My company has 3 different products, and I would like to manage in a single installation all the products. Every product can have different categories. For example:

product1/installation product1/filters product1/tutorials

product2/common issues product2/usage product2/videos

There may be a main support page (http://support.company.com) and two products homepage (http://support.company.com/product1 and http://support.company.com/product2).

Can this be accomplished with your tool?

Thanks!

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

1. Support Desk has a separate news and more advanced FAQ sections. KnowHow is a knowledge base only with a simpler FAQ section.

2. You can use multiple levels of knowledge base categories to achieve this on a single installation. Your URLS won’t be exactly as you’ve posted.

Thanks

Thanks a lot Chris.

Hi, I realise from other comments that this theme supports WPML for blog and page items. However reading through I see that supportdesk defines kb and FAQ items separately to blog/pages items.

Therefore, can you confirm that supportdesk supports a multi language kb (and FAQ) via WMPL, and that kb articles and FAQs are supported with WPML the same way which pages/posts are handled (i.e. you create a base language kb article, then translate it via WPML to other languages – i.e. the post-id stays the same). Hope that makes sense, and thanks for your answer.

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

This theme is compatible with WPML and I believe other customers are using it with no issues.

Thanks

Great – thanks!

I am facing lots of issue with your Knowledge Base area! when i try to add more than 10 records, on my Knowledge Base area i got tons of issue;

1. My preview does not work, (some times it does but my design messed up don’t know why???)

2. Add image does not display at all, although all links are correct.

3. It gives me frequently error: “An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.”

4. When i view my log file it shows:

PHP Warning: array_pop() [function.array-pop]: The argument should be an array in /*//wp-content/themes/supportdesk/framework/template-navigation.php on line 154

Is there any way to resolve this all issue.

Thanks

ChrisMooney

Hi there,

Sounds like you’re installing the wrong zip file in WordPress. You need to install the theme zip that is contained within the theme package you download from ThemeForest.

Check under “Common ‘Broken Theme’ and ‘Stylesheet Missing’ WordPress Issues” here: http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/269/0/my-wordpress-theme-isnt-working-what-should-i-do

Thanks
