Brilliant, Thank you for your prompt answers to my previous questions. So being a WP theme, this theme works easily with other wp plugins? Like an ad management plugin etc…?

Thanks again, brilliant support.

ChrisMooney

Hey there,

I can’t guarantee the theme will work with all plugins (no one can guarantee that), but you shouldn’t have any issues with well coded ones.

Thanks

Hello Dear ChrisMooney unfortunately when we make debug mode on we got the following errors “Strict Standards: Declaration of BBP_Walker_Dropdown::start_el() should be compatible with Walker::start_el(&$output, $object, $depth = 0, $args = Array, $current_object_id = 0) in /home//wp-content/plugins/bbpress/includes/common/classes.php on line 185

Notice: wp_enqueue_style was called incorrectly. Scripts and styles should not be registered or enqueued until the wp_enqueue_scripts , admin_enqueue_scripts , or login_enqueue_scripts hooks. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 3.3.) in //wp-includes/functions.php on line 3012

Strict Standards: Only variables should be passed by reference in /*/wp-content/plugins/bbpress/includes/users/capabilities.php on line 124”

we would like to know what is this for ?! and why also in searching it shows the private posts to all users. thanks

ChrisMooney

Hey there,

Looks like you have an odd error with BBPress. I’ve not seen it before so I’ll need to take a look.

Please submit a support request with your WordPress details to http://herothemes.com so I can take a look for you.

Thanks

Hi Chris,

To use PrettyPhoto and for added images can be opened in a modal window automatically, I have suggested add in the functions.php file, the following code:

// Adapted and Modified from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add-lightbox/ // Adds a rel="prettyPhoto" tag to all linked image files add_filter('the_content', 'addlightboxrel_replace', 12); add_filter('get_comment_text', 'addlightboxrel_replace'); function addlightboxrel_replace ($content) { global $post; $pattern = "/<a>]*).(bmp|gif|jpeg|jpg|png)('|\")(.*?)>(.*?)<\/a>/i"; $replacement = '</a><a rel="prettyPhoto['.$post->ID.']">$7</a>'; $content = preg_replace($pattern, $replacement, $content); return $content; }

See you,

David,

ChrisMooney

Hey David,

You would probably be better off looking into using a plugin to add that sort of functionality so it’s easier to maintain. Something to look in to :)

Thanks

Hi, Can the homepage be set to knowledge base section?

Hi Chris, Any update on this? Thanks

ChrisMooney

This might be included in the next update :)

Hello Chris,

Thanks for the theme, i love it.

Since i want to adjust the theme more to my needs and wishes I want to show a certain div (mydiv) which I implemented on the homepage. I succeeded in this and it works perfect. But the thing is, I want to hide this div when i open the knowledge base with a smaller screen. So I used the following code:

@media screen and (min-width: 480px) { div.mydiv { display: none } }

But now it hides the div at all time even screens bigger then 480px;

I placed the css code in the stylesheet.css all the way at the bottom. Same for the styling of .mydiv

I placed the html refering to the div in template-front-page.php (Homepage template) all the way on the top.

I also tried placing the mydiv properties in the top @media-screen property in the stylesheet.css file, but i was not succesfull.

Did I miss something?

Thanks!

ChrisMooney

Hey there,

You might want to see how some other frameworks go about selectively showing content to certain devices, take bootstrap for example: http://getbootstrap.com/css/#responsive-utilities

Thanks

Somehow my logo gets centered in IE9 but not in Chrome… Could you help me figure out what I need to change in order to resolve. The logo in IE9 is showing on top of the menu items. My logo should not be centered…

Thanks Elliot

Narrowing it down a little more, when I tested the issue myself I noticed the problem only occurs when compatibility mode it turned on…

ChrisMooney

Hey Elliot,

Could you send a support request via http://herothemes.com with a link to your site and I’ll take a look for you.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the reply.

A bit embarrassed about the basic oversight on my part!

No worries, happy to help as always :)

Is there an index page for the FAQ like there is for the Knowledge Base?

ChrisMooney

There’s no index to view all the FAQ items at once as the theme is designed so you can create multiple FAQ pages.

Thanks

Hey there,

This isn’t a feature of WordPress or the theme, you would need to look into a plugin or custom functionality to do this.

Thanks

Hi Chris,

Just another question for you.

I have decided to use getclicky.com to track visitors, and am using a wp plugin develped by yoast (http://wordpress.org/plugins/clicky/).

GetClicky advise – IMPORTANT! If you install this plugin and it doesn’t seem to be working, your theme may not have the “WP footer” hook that many plugins rely on to add code to your blog’s footer automatically. Open your theme’s “footer.php” file in the WP editor, and look for the following piece of code:

<?php wp_footer(); ?>

If you don’t see this code, that is the problem. Copy that code and paste it into this file, directly before the tag. Save it and you’re done!

I am using the theme with the child theme enabled… and the child theme does not have a footer.php file.

Have you come across this before? If yes, what was the solution?

If no, can/should I edit the footer.php file in the main (not child) theme?

Thanks,

ChrisMooney

If you’re using a child theme the footer.php file will be inherited from the parent theme unless you specify one in the child theme. The parent theme does have the correct hook you need so it should work.

Thanks

Hi, I was just wondering if it was possible to change the page header of the Knowledge Base page above the search function?

And also the breadcrumb for the knowledge base below the search?

Thanks Matt

ChrisMooney

Hey there,

The best way to do it is with a child theme rather than edit the theme files directly. Unfortunately I can’t assist with any customisations.

Thanks

Can the active-search menu be set to search for keywords within posts, instead of just searching within the titles of posts? I don’t see any documentation about search configuration, but it would be great if search worked for post text—would this require custom coding?

Thanks for any help.

ChrisMooney

Hey there,

The theme itself doesn’t modify the WP search engine, if you want to change its behaviour you can use a plugin such as relevanssi or search everything.

Thanks

Figured it out. Logo wasn’t showing up but when I when to Apperence -> Customize -> Site Title & Tagline, I removed the logo and added a new logo and it now shows up.
