Do any of your theme include the google fonts?
Google fonts aren’t actually “included” they are still hosted at Google. If you mean do they have options…yes, some do. This particular one doesnt have any font options.
I have included them in a few to test out. But to be honest, I think adding Google Fonts is something best done via a plugin or your child stylesheet.
How can I add a footer menu (bottom right of the page) as you have done in the example?
Edit: Derp… I figured it out!
haha, glad you got it working
Hi, thanks for the great theme! I am wondering if it is possible to add a sub-drop down the filtered categories? (for example- on your portfolio filter page under categories, the parent categories would appear and then on rollover the child pages would appear as a submenu)
thanks so much!
This would require some heavy modification. Not only of the template file to seperate the child categories, but also to implement additional javascript for the inner toggles. So unfortunately this is outside the scope of theme support.

Hey AJ!
Regarding the HTML sitemap page -
My portfolio pages do not have any categories associated with them (you know the theme, here’s what I have: http://annarbormoves.com/)
I do however, want these portfolio pages (with no associated portfolio category) in my HTML sitemap, how can I make that happen?
Thanks!
-Jack
You mean you want to customize the template to show all the portfolio posts?
Yes
If you want to open a ticket at WPThemehelp.com I can see about sending you the updated template, since this is a fairly quick customization I’ll be willing to help yo do that free of charge.
Thanks, you’re the man AJ
Hello, I’m quit before relaunching a new website with your theme. I let you know when it’s online. Three little things I have. 1. I would like to chance the text in the search pop-up at the top 2. On the portfolio page with filter I would like to change the text ‘CATEGORIES’ 3. Would be nice if I choose a category the pop-up close by itself
Thanks for your help Werner
1. You can edit searchform.php if you want directly if you want.
2. You can edit template-portfolio-with-filter.php directly.
3. Because it’s a filter I left it open by default. But you can close by adding the following javascript to your site (can be placed in js/jquery.init.js):
$('#portfolio-cats a').click(function(){ $('#portfolio-cats').slideUp(); });thanks for the purchase, aj
Hi,
First of all thank you for this theme. It really helped us a lot and built a cool website.
I have a thing to ask: We have those small “previous” and “next” image icons when we clicked a slide on an image slider. But why those icons not appearing when clicked on a gallery image of a blog page? It seems they are both using PrettyPhoto but not working same. Should we implement somehow there is an image sequence? I had many request for this, since all people want to check all blog images with a single click! Now they have to close the image and click on another image…
The reason is I added a small line of Javascript that enabled prettyPhoto on the Wordpress built-in gallery. To actually have a gallery style with the next/previous arrows on the lightbox you would have to completely change the output of the WP gallery, which is never a good idea, because it can cause conflicts later on.
If you change line 137 in js/jquery.init.js from:
$("a[rel^='prettyPhoto'],.gallery a").prettyPhoto({to
$("a[rel^='prettyPhoto']").prettyPhoto({It will remove the lightbox completely. Then you can see about using an external plugin for that. Otherwise leave as is.
I hope that makes sense, AJ
Hi WPExplorer, 1. You can edit searchform.php if you want directly if you want. This is for the widget. I mend the Search Po-Up at the top of each site. It must be somewhere else.
3. Because it’s a filter I left it open by default. But you can close by adding the following javascript to your site (can be placed in js/jquery.init.js) This does not work. I put it in and I lost my slider function at each page. Sorry.
2. This worked great.
Many thanks for helping me again. Werner
1. Oh sorry, you are correct. I forgot I added it manually in header.php.
2. I tested it and it works well. You need to make sure you are adding it correctly within the jQuery function. Paste it around line 104.
3. good
Hello I’d like to add the staff details to the staff overview template below the staff name and position much like an excerpt, is there a way to add this to the staff overview template?
EDIT : Added <?php echo the_content(’’); ?> works ok
Thanks
Glad you got it working!
Hi WP Explorer,
I have a quick question about the Thumbnail Portfolio template. I have my horizontal images sized at 857px by 640px. This works great and is the size I am looking for. However, when I try and add vertical pictures, I get problems. 1) If I place the vertical picture on a 857×640px white background, the sizing looks great in the large image size, but the thumbnail becomes distorted. 2) If I just place the vertical image in sized with a height of 640px and varying widths, the thumbnail looks great but the main image becomes very large.
Do you know how I can resolve this issue so that the thumbnail is not distorted and the height of the main image, whether horizontal or vertical, always remains 640px?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Are you talking about this page?
http://www.wpexplorer.com/premium/surplus/portfolio/trees-killed-by-lava-flow/Unfortunately that’s the way the template was designed. Its not really intended for vertical images. What the small thumbnails are doing are simply resizing themselves with CSS .
You could try changing the size dimensions of the squares via css…example:
#thumb-swap-portfolio .swap-sub img{ width: 150px; height: 100px; } #thumb-swap-portfolio .swap-sub { width: 150px; height: 100px; }Hope that helps, thanks for the purchase! AJ
Dear WPExplorer,
here we are: http://www.meyerbau.info/
Thanks again for your great job and this well designed theme. Werner
Great work setting up the site!
Are you just sharing the URL or was there an issue you needed help with?
-AJ
Hey AJ,
I just wanted to share. Weeks ago you asked for to twitter it.
Enjoy your life Thanks for everything Werner
Just making sure. Thanks for sharing with everyone! Looks great
Is there any relatively easy way to make the slides move automatically, rather than be user initiated? I don’t see anywhere in the CMS to do that. Thanks!
Thanks!
working great!
Your welcome
Hi,
For some reason, my portfolio page is only showing 3 items in a row. Do you know why this might be? I have double checked all the margins and sizes of the portfolio items, and that all looks good.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Have you forgotten to add a featured image to one of the items? That’s the only thing I can think of.
If not, I would really have to have a look at the code, if you want to share in private you can open a ticket – wpthemehelp.com
thank you for the purchase, AJ
AJ – Themes like this put designers out of business.
Nice work.
Are we cool to update to wordpress 3.4.2?
Haha. Thanks for the kind words
Yes, the demo is running on the latest version of WordPress (always). If you are using the latest version of the theme there should be no issues at all
Any word on this?
skylinegroup SAYS Is there any relatively easy way to make the slides move automatically, rather than be user initiated? I don’t see anywhere in the CMS to do that. Thanks! 7 DAYS AGO REPORT
Hi there, sorry I must have cleared my recent comments from my dashboard and not seeing yours. Truly sorry.
Anyway, to make the slides move automatically on surplus you would have to edit the javascript file located at js/jquery.init at the bottom of that file are the settings for the slider commented out so it should be easy to edit.
Ok! Thanks. I think I’m close. I’m in the js file and I’m seeing the following options to move my content slider. Where do I tell it to start on page load?
$(’.content-slider’).slides({
You need to add the play option:
http://slidesjs.com/#docsHave you purchased the theme under another account?
Got it. Thanks!
Yes. Sorry. I have two accounts. The other one is under ‘stonelake’.
The website is here. www.globalviewinv.com
One more question while I have you. On the staff pages like here. ‘http://globalviewinv.com/staff/ken-moore-partner/' the ‘Add This’ plugin is recognizing this as a ‘Post’ and inputting all of the share features for ‘Posts’. (I have told it to ignore pages and add to posts) How can I edit this page to rip this out? Is there an easy way to do that for this page specifically?
The plugin you are using doesn’t allow you to hide it on specific post types?
You would really need to look into the plugin code to see how you can un-hook it from the staff posts.
Or you can hide with css
body.single-staff .addthis_button{ display: none; }

I’m very interested in purchasing this theme and have one question: would it be possible to make the portfolio thumbnails on the homepage span the entire width of the content area? i.e. Take up the space that’s currently used for “Featured Work” and “From the Blog.” I just want thumbnails going across this entire section.
Thanks for your time.
Actually yes, that’s a setting in the theme panel (there is a blog+portfolio module as well as a just portfolio module). I just updated my demo as people keep requesting it and so you can see
http://www.wpexplorer.com/premium/surplus/Hope that helps, AJ
Wonderful! Thanks very much AJ.
Hi WP Explorer,
Love your theme! Quick question:
I have tried to modify the width of the Highlights on the Home page so that if I only show one, it takes up the whole width. I have been mostly successful. However, the width shrinks back down to approximately 30% when on a tablet, portrait orientation. I have tried to modify the responsive.css file to resolve this issue, but nothing changes. Do you know where I might be able to fix this?
Thanks in advance for all your assistance.
